I am extremely pleased with Ladybrook manor as a 'home' for my mum. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They all make my mum feel valued and part of the community in the home . The staff have always kept us informed of any medical issues / concerns / general information,
and are always quick to respond to any
phone calls , messages or emails . My mum is always greeted with a smile and / or a positive comment . Staff are quick to assess my mum's mood / needs at all times . We are able to ring up at anytime with a question , a reminder for my mum or to pass on information, and are confident that it will help dealt with as soon as is possible .

This is a personal complaint.
Prior to lunch on 12 August 2025 I was waiting at a space of the long corridor to be in time for my lunch. I came up behind a fellow guest, pushing his self, pushing his trolley. I called out that I was attempting to pass on his right as shown level on his R.H. since he
shouted out causing me to jump instantly. This left me dizzy. When I reached the dining room I was quite faint. I called out fortunately one of the members of staff chatting to a lady member it took a lot of minutes to get a response despite explaining I was going to pass out. I spent the afternoon resting and had little or no food.

When visiting my wifes brother we have found the staff both helpful and friendly with a positive approach to residents. The bistro offers an informed space and comfortable environment to have a coffee and chat to family with a pleasant ambiance.

Our Grandad came here in December 2023 and was not in a good place both mentally and physically. Following multiple accidents at his home and long stays in the hospital, Grandad accepted that change was needed and we got him discharged from hospital directly to the home. Grandad was unable to walk safely
at this time. The process was so easy and well coordinated by the team and I am pleased to say that Grandad is enjoying his life here. He is happy, well fed and supported by the team.
Through his mobility classes we are pleased to say that he back on his feet and walking. The team here are brilliant and always available to have a chat about anything. He even gets his fresh oatcakes from Staffordshire!

Our mother had been a resident in 2016/17 and received such great care in what turned out to be her final months. I had no hesitation in getting back in touch when needing the best possible care home solution for our 95-year-old dad. Although no longer under the previous company name, but Ladybrook
Manor, everything from the speedy process to secure a place to the warm, caring, dignified welcome he has experienced has been what we had hoped for! Still early days as we head into week three, but grateful for everything and everybody we have experienced so far!

My relative has been made to feel part of the larger family, he is shown compassion, care and friendship, whilst still maintaining as much independence as he wishes. At any point, I can ask questions, which are answered and any issues are addressed, to support his life choices.
There are a wide selection
of activities to participate in, either within the home or planned trips to a variety of places in the surrounding area.
He is offered choices on how he wishes to live his life, to the full, within his own capabilities.

My wife was happy during her stay, made friends with residents and made a good recovery. The management and staff were very professional and made you feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. A good variety of activities daily and a good variety of meals served.

My mother has been a resident at Ladybrook Manor since 28.11.16. Mum was moved in the last few months to Reminiscence, the specialist dementia care part of the home. Mum is 91 and I love the fact that when I arrive I know the main reception staff and they know me, also the senior management and Director
which is always very helpful. The staff and management have a sense of humour and do not mind 'frank talking' and respond to your queries. Mum has for a number of years sat in a wheelchair by choice, not medical, but moving to Reminiscence has been so much better because Mum no longer uses a wheelchair and is not sat in her room but in the dining room/lounge area when I visit. The team are dedicated and very special and I receive feedback as to how mum is/has been, to 'she needs some hair clips'. All have a lovely smile and are pleased to see you visit, I think the bags of chocolate also help!

My father has been living at Ladybrook Manor for a couple of years. He is 92 and seems extremely content. All the staff have been very kind and caring and I can’t think of any negative issues at all. His room is very cosy, the communal spaces are comfortable. He enjoys the meals and has been on a few
trips out which he has particularly enjoyed. I am more than happy to recommend the home.

My mother has been a resident at Ladybrook Manor for 6 months now and is well settled into the environment. She has found the transition difficult for an independent person living alone to being within a community, but now feels safe and looked after.
The thing I most notice when arriving to visit
is how personable and cheerful the staff are - there is always a welcome and they recognise and respect all of the residents and visitors alike.
The building has great common parts, a great reception area and in the summer my mother will much enjoy sitting in the gardens - a great view of which she has from her room which is excellently appointed.
Her room is on the small side from choice as she spends so much time around the building in activity rooms, TV area, coffee bar etc.
I feel my mother is safe, stimulated, cared for and active.

Dad seems more relaxed and content than he has done for several years. Our family are at ease knowing that he is in safe hands with caring and attentive staff who are all extremely pleasant and friendly towards him. He enjoys his food and his mealtimes when he socialises with other residents. He equally
enjoys his time alone listening to his music, reading, and watching TV. He is relatively independent but staff are very helpful when necessary i.e. accessing TV channels. His medications and occasional health issues appear to be well managed by the staff.
Mum spent a year in Ladybrook Manor and for the last few months was on the reminiscence unit where she received excellent and respectful care.

Mum has been in the care home approaching 2 years in total, the majority of this time being spent in the Reminiscence Department. The general quality of overall care has been very good, delivered by caring, conscientious and in the main, experienced staff supported by what appears to be temporary or
short-term support staff. The quality of food is excellent though Mum is extremely fussy about what she eats and often eats very little. This is a concern to the family though in fairness in it, difficult to see what staff can do to improve this without force-feeding!
Her room is lovely. Large, well maintained and cleaned regularly.
Overall the family are happy with the levels of support and care Mum receives.

My father has been a full-time resident since my mother passed away in March 20023. He is now 96 and has developed Alzheimer-related dementia.
We decided to see how “respite” worked in preparation for the next stage. Having looked at a number of other establishments, we were impressed by the set-up
at Ladybrook Manor and the general good feeling on our visits.
We arranged for them to go on 2 occasions for 3 months at a time. It seemed like a holiday for them and certainly, when they returned home it became clear they should have stayed.
Dad is settled and happy here, the accommodation is first class as are the meals. The social life is there to participate in should he wish and the medical care is excellent.
It has made our life much better as we can visit at any time and don’t have to worry about anything.

When my mum became suddenly ill with an unexplained illness, the care teams immediately stepped up her level of care which has continued as she recovered only gently easing off extra help and encouraging her to get active again.

When it became clear that Mum had to move into residential care, we looked around several local facilities and rapidly identified Ladybrook Manor as by far the most desirable. There is such a great deal to commend: its relaxed and becalmed atmosphere (closer to a luxury hotel than a care home); the
very high quality of the facilities and amenities, such as the sumptuous (not standard-issue) food served in the dining room; the discernible personal touch of the staff, who quickly get to know the residents and their needs as well as the family members and friends who visit them; the tangible sense of community which is always convivial and kindly. We particularly appreciate the staff's literacy in the specific needs of their residents: they work hard to recognise and support the individuality of those in their care and engage with them accordingly. Nothing is too much trouble. As a family, we feel lucky indeed that Mum can now fully enjoy her senior years having moved to Ladybrook.

This is, indeed, a posh hotel as others have mentioned, but it's more than that. The staff are wonderful. When you get older, you tend to get more cranky. I certainly will be, I feel that I'll have earned it! But the staff put up with everything cheerfully, and diligently and they cater for your loved
ones' needs. My mum has to have all the food pureed now, and the kitchen staff come up with some lovely meals. Medications are carefully managed. There's a nice little bistro area when you come in, for friends and families to help themselves to complimentary drinks and snacks etc. Activities are many and varied, but they also cater for someone like my Mum who doesn't want to leave her room any more. Staff will pop in and join her in a jigsaw! Very impressed. It's hugely expensive, but it's the nicest care home I've ever been to, and my job has been the management of sheltered housing all my life, so I have some idea what we've got here. This is a lovely place if you can afford it.

My relative took residence at Ladybrook Manor in February 2023. We anticipated a few teething problems with her initially as one would expect. However, within hours she was totally adjusted to her new surroundings, no doubt with some assistance from the very able staff.
She likens Ladybrook to 'a
posh hotel.'
On visiting we find everyone friendly and helpful. Everywhere is clean and very tidy. Friends and other relatives who visit all make similar comments.
My cousin has taken on a new lease of life and says that she would never want to go home again. Great testimony indeed.

I have worked in the care sector since the 1990s, and I started at Ladybrook Manor in March 2020, as the Assisted Living Coordinator, and have worked alongside some amazing team members here. In 2022 I was made General Manager for Ladybrook Manor and feel privileged to have gained this role.
