From the initial enquiry stage to my mother becoming a resident for respite care, the service has been first class.
Everybody has been most caring throughout her stay at Sunrise and I couldn’t have asked for anything more from the carers to the managers and the receptionist they are all first-class
Thank
you for making this difficult period a lot easier by keeping her so safe and looking after her.

My father has just returned home after spending five weeks in Sunrise Bramhall. We were made to feel so welcome by the managers and staff, and have been very happy with the care he has received during these last few weeks. I have been allowed to visit him after being tested for Covid, and as he was
in isolation for the first two weeks of his stay, these visits were so important to him. He had a lovely room, with a balcony overlooking the garden, and this was kept spotlessly clean throughout. As for the meals, he thoroughly enjoyed his lovely bowls of soup and the desserts but felt the main course was a little less appetising. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in caring for Dad, and special thanks to the Deputy Manager and Director of Community Relations who went the extra mile to ensure dad enjoyed his stay and that I was happy with the care he received.

My mother has been a resident of Sunrise of Bramhall for over six and a half years. The care she has received through this time has been exceptional. All the staff work very hard to get to know each of the residents and understand their needs. The whole team, from the welcome given by the concierges,
to the carers, the housekeeping staff, the dining room staff and the activity volunteers all play a vital role in making the community a safe and comfortable place for each of the residents.
Over the last difficult year, it has been a great comfort to know that my mother is safe, but also that there are staff who will spend time chatting to her, engaging her in things that are of interest to her and most important of all providing her with an opportunity to smile and laugh each day.
Reply from Ruth Baggs, General Manager at Ladybrook ManorThank you for leaving us such a wonderful review; our team members will be thrilled to hear your positive feedback. My mother has been a resident at Sunrise Care Home in Bramhall for the last two and a half years. She joined the community at a time when she was unable to manage her day to day life in her own home. She was welcomed from the start by a friendly, caring staff. Though they have at all times respected
her dignity, her desire for independence where possible and sense of self-worth, they have done all they can to meet her needs. Everyone from the kitchen and housekeeping staff to her carers has treated her with kindness. She regards the staff as her friends, as well as her helpers. As a frequent visitor to the home prior to the Covid outbreak last year, I have always been made welcome by friendly staff. During the epidemic, the home has done all it could to keep residents and staff safe and for this we thank them. As a family, we are kept well informed of any developments/changes within the home and this has been reassuring for us, knowing that my mother has been safe.

Grandma has been happily living in the assisted living community at Sunrise of Bramhall for nearly 3 years. The around the clock professional care and attention she receives from the dedicated manager and the whole team is superb. During the current pandemic, we have been blessed that she is so well
cared for and kept safe by the attentive team. We have received regular updates via email, letter, Skype and telephone calls which have been a great reassurance. Drive through visits and window visits were quickly implemented during the 1st national lockdown. Sunrise now have a beautiful partitioned sunroom for safe visiting. The suites and public areas are extremely well appointed and kept beautifully clean. The restaurant and standard of meals are great. A varied and full programme of activities is available too. But most importantly, Grandma is happy and the care and attention from the whole team are fantastic. Thank you to everyone at Sunrise.

My aunt has been at Sunrise since she had her stroke. I have LPA and we chose Bramhall at Sunrise due to being welcomed so well. Being a nurse myself, making this decision was extremely difficult, however, I cannot stress how grateful I am to the amazing staff and team there. My Aunty is happy and settled
and very well looked after. They support her to have weekly video chats with my mum, her sister which is so important at this unprecedented time.
Thankyou Sunrise - you are truly AWESOME

Mum and Dad moved to Sunrise recently, initially for respite care, but after Dad suffered another heart attack and Mum had a bad fall, their return from hospital to Sunrise will now be permanent.
The surroundings are luxurious, and the accommodation very comfortable and well-appointed. They report
the food to be very good, and that is high praise from fussy eaters. What makes the home exceptional though is their staff. Without exception, they have been highly attentive, compassionate, efficient and effective particularly when tested with an unfortunate run of my parent's medical emergencies. They really have gone 'above and beyond' not only with my parents but also in supporting me, keeping me fully informed and consulting with me on issues that affect my parents. As my parent's needs have rapidly changed due to deteriorating medical circumstances, they have been flexible enough to accommodate this. I really can't praise the staff enough.

Sunrise is very friendly and welcoming. As soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted in a friendly, cheery way and made to feel very welcome. The team at Sunrise are professional, friendly and very caring. My Mum moved into Sunrise 3-years ago, which was a difficult move as she had to move
out of her bungalow, but with the kindness received from the staff, she soon settled. Mum has a lovely room which looks out over the garden, and she loves sitting outside during the summer. She receives excellent care and attention. It has been very difficult for Mum during these last few months with the Covid virus as we have been unable to go in to see her, but we have been able to arrange Facetime calls with her and have been using the drive-through facility several times. We are very grateful to Sunrise for making this possible and for looking after Mum so very well. Thank you.

After living independently in her bungalow up to the age of 98, with failing physical health and unable to care for herself any longer, my mother was admitted as a resident of Sunrise Senior Living, Bramhall in October 2019. The constant care and attention she then received, immediately improved her
life, and she was able to share regular social exchanges with new acquaintances and was able to enjoy shared quality meals, which she could never have provided for herself.
She expressed on a number of occasions that she was very happy in her new home.
Sadly her health has further deteriorated both physically and mentally, and in January 2020, she was transferred into the Reminiscence (Dementia) Unit, where she now receives even closer care and attention than before and is treated with the love and affection that you would expect in a family home.
Now, having reached 99, she is rapidly fading, but we shall always be very grateful for her dedicated care and attention in Sunrise.

My Dad has been in Sunrise for just over a year now. The care he receives in unprecedented. Dad suffers from dementia, and while he is often confused, he clearly is very happy. During the Lockdown, while I have been unable to go in to see him, I have been able to arrange a Facetime chat with him, and
been able to use the drive-through facility on a number of occasions. Very, very satisfied. Thank you.

The amazing and caring staff in all roles at the home are one of its main assets. They know the residents by name and treat them as individuals, going the extra mile to make sure they are well cared for, safe and engaged. Visitors are made very welcome and the Bistro is a great place to meet and socialise.
I feel the home has made huge efforts throughout the Covid crisis to ensure the residents have experienced as little disruption to their lives as possible. Despite missing face to face visits, iPads were purchased so that FaceTime sessions could be set up with friends and family to help keep them in touch, and drive-through visits were set up. We have also been kept very well informed throughout the lockdown as to what precautions and procedures were in place and why. Before lockdown, there was a very varied programme of daily activities in place for the residents to take part in and I’m hoping they will return once things get back to normal.
Thank you Sunrise.

My parents moved into Sunrise in November 2019. The facilities are excellent and the care is first-rate. There is an excellent programme of activities including trips out in the facility's mini-bus (although these have obviously been curtailed due to the virus).
During the current crisis, the home
was locked down early and they procured adequate supplies of PPE. The precautions that they have taken against infection are impressive.

My dad moved into Sunrise of Bramhall just over a year ago. Sunrise provides a fantastic care facility. When Dad first moved in he was in Assisted Living and enjoyed some independent living whilst also being cared for. After a spell in hospital following a fall where Dad broke his hip, he moved into
Reminiscence and has received outstanding nursing care and help to get him back on his feet. On a day to day basis, there are plenty of activities for Dad to take part in. Since lockdown happened and we have been unable to visit, knowing that Dad is safe and well cared for is very reassuring. The systems for controlling infection are meticulous. Sunrise have worked hard to introduce a system where we can do a 'Drive-by' visit which is wonderful. Seeing Dad after three months looking healthy and well cared for is fantastic and I cannot recommend Sunrise of Bramhall enough.

Our father has now been at Sunrise for one year. The staff have always been helpful, friendly and courteous, they display a friendly, supportive and encouraging manner with residents. Following the last review, we have been grateful to see the much-needed introduction of activities, particularly appropriate
to male residents. Dad has much appreciated this, especially the opportunity he has been given to look after an area of garden. It has greatly improved his enthusiasm and interest in life at Sunrise.

My elderly parents made the decision to move in together to Sunrise Bramhall to grow older together and make memories for when one soul mate dies.
This last year particularly Sunrise have been wonderful with both my parents sadly mum died in August after a terminal battle with cancer. My father was
given two weeks to live due to sepsis in January. The care and devotion to my father was amazing encouraging him to eat and tending to his every nursing need. He has gone from strength to strength due to the devotion of the staff and is now back eating food putting on weight and having made memories with mum. She is still with him in spirit.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 99 registered maximum number of service users is 19.8. 17 Positive Reviews ÷ 19.8 = 0.859
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
