View Full Details of Widnes HallMother has been in more than 18 months and we are extremely pleased with the care home. room is always clean as is the hole home. Plenty of activities for residents and staff always pleasant, helping and professional. There is also a good atmosphere in the home.
There is nowhere else I would want my mum to live. The staff are extremely attentive at all times and make sure mum is clean, smartly dressed and happy. Her room is cleaned to a high standard by the housekeeping team. I would recommend Widnes Hall to friends and family.
The staff are amazing, understanding, patient and kind. I think there could be more activities maybe movie days with popcorn more music etc. Air conditioning would be welcomed as this summer was extremely hot and especially being upstairs. I've also noticed that occasionally there doesn't seem to be enough staff which puts more pressure on the staff that are in.
Very pleased with everything from the home to the staff. They are always friendly and welcoming when I visit my mum.
All I can say is from day one Mum has received top class care from all the shifts, I know that the girls have a lot on every day on the Magpie unit at Widnes Hall. They are all so caring and patient with everyone. We only have to ask for anything, and it's not a problem; they do everything. I have always said it's a vocation and not just a job, and they all go the extra mile.
Staff are patient with my mother, they take their time attending to her needs and make sure that she is happy and comfortable. I am kept up to date with any issues or concerns that the staff may have and how it has been resolved. I am so glad that I chose to leave my mother's care in their hands.
Carers and staff work hard. Very polite and helpful. No trouble to help. I am very grateful to carers for looking after my wife. They deserve a medal.
The staff are very friendly. The home is spotlessly clean. Rooms are lovely. All residents are well looked after. The Activity Team are fantastic. The home provides a lot of activities, music, baking, bingo etc and trips out on the mini bus.
Day staff are excellent very helpful and caring, not much contact with the night staff but overall happy with the care given by them. Any problems are always listed by to management and ways to to resolve, discussed and agreed swiftly.
Outstanding care home. Staff are amazing and do so much with my mum. Since moving into Widnes Hall mum has a new lease of life. Its a joy to see her enjoying herself every day and taking part in all the activities and days out. We have such peace of mind knowing how happy and well cared for mum is. I have also recommended Widnes Hall to my friend who has recently moved her mum in. Only negative is I would like mum to have new flooring in her room. Other than that 5 stars all the way. Thank you to all the staff you are amazing.
When gran moved into WH in Oct 2024, we honestly thought that if we get her to Xmas we would be lucky. But with the expert care she has received, she is thriving - healthwise, happiness, contentment, friendships have all blossomed and as a family, we could not be more appreciative.
My mum stayed at Widnes Hall for two weeks respite care, whilst I went on holiday in February. From the moment we entered we were made to feel like we were friends, everyone was so welcoming and any fears of leaving mum were quickly gone. I can't stress how important this was. The en-suite bedroom was lovely, as was the lounge and dining area. There were lots of activities throughout the day, bingo and a singer and it was lovely to see the residents enjoying themselves. Every single member of staff was really lovely and caring and are a credit to the company. If we ever need respite care for another holiday, Widnes Hall is the only place I would want to leave my mum.
My husband received great care at Widnes Hall. The staff are knowledgeable, caring, professional and supportive of residents and their carers. I felt fully secure leaving my husband in their care.
From entering Widnes Hall, we were greeted with a pleasant greeting by all the staff. Mum couldn't settle at first but now she loves it and has certainly settled in. Mum is happier when she is kept active with different games or tasks. The entertainment is good too. I would recommend WH.
Widnes Hall provides a warm and caring environment for its residents. Staff members are attentive and compassionate. The facilities are well maintained, offering comfortable living spaces and a range of activities that promote social interaction. The staff ensure that each resident feels valued and cared for.
My dad is happy and settled and always talks highly of the staff.
My dad has been a resident at Widnes Hall since May 2024. He is 91 and has mobility issues. Dad is so settled and happy there. He feels safe as he felt vulnerable living on his own. He has not looked so well in years as the care and kindness he receives are excellent. The staff are so wonderful and have helped Dad feel as though Widnes Hall is his home. I have also received so much kindness at what was an emotional move from his bungalow.
My mum has been a resident for 18 months now and she has settled in very well. All staff are amazing and understanding. The food they serve is all homemade and fresh. All staff communicate with us and tell us of any concerns. The doctor comes every week and checks for any needs. The hairdresser on site is fab and my mum looks forward to having her hair done every week. Always doing activities with the residents my mum enjoys it. I would 100% recommend Widnes Hall and feel secure in the knowledge my mum is being well looked after.
On the whole, I am pleased with the care. I know my uncle is safe and looked after. I do think it is expensive for what you get. He has to pay £20.00 to the Podiatrist and I think this should be included. He has to pay for a haircut which I think should be included. He needed a haircut a couple of months ago and it was not cut because they said he had no money. He does and all they needed to do was cut it and then ask me.
My ratings show my views about Widnes Hall. The staff on all levels are conscientious, efficient and go about their tasks with a smile on their faces. The leadership and management are excellent and take great pride in seeing Widnes Hall shine. Facilities are excellent, cosy and warm and well-suited to/for the residents.
