View Full Details of Homestead HouseWarm and friendly staff. All needs catered for;- food, bed matress, protein drinks, kept clean. Kind and caring.
When entering Homestead House, the staff and manager are very welcoming. They treat my sister in law with dignity, respect and understanding. Her room, though small, is adequate, but more than two visitors at a time would be very crowded. There is no room for a permanent visitor's chair. As my sister in law is on a semi-liquid diet, it can at times appear unappetising (through no fault of staff or management.) My sister in law says she is happy here and wishes to stay.
My mother in law was cared for 5 years up to her death this month. Communication with management was excellent, the staff were professional, helpful and very kind and polite. Management went out of their way to problem-solve and keep her safe as she was prone to falls. My mother in law was always happy there, praised the staff and the food. The home was kept spotlessly clean, and we never noticed any bad odours. Their end of life care was exemplary, both in the management of my mother in law, who was bed bound and semi-conscious for the last week and in how they cared for us, her relatives. The home itself may not be the most modern or elegant surroundings, but the care, kindness and professionalism shown was what mattered to my mother in law and to us.
My experience was really good actually, the staff there are very kind, accommodating and helpful. From the moment I can tell that my Fiancé was in good hands. The manager of the care home is very caring, the way she handles all of the staff there are amazing, all my concerns handled promptly, the needs my fiancé was obtained during his stay. I salute to the carers there too, their dedication to their job are very unique, all are lovable and calm all the time.
In my view Homestead House was the ideal place for my mother. It offered her a home from home warm, friendly and cosy. The staff were kind and considerate and loving. They treated my mother like family I was very pleased with her care!
My aunt has been a resident for 2 years. A home from home environment. Staff always friendly, readily give updates regarding care and any health issues. Residents are well cared for in a safe environment.
My experience of Homestead House has been very positive. The management are approachable, understanding and available. The staff are efficient, quick to assist with residents when needed and care for their residents with kindness and dignity. They quietly go about their work with residents needing transporting between rooms. Appropriate activities are available and encouraged. Visitors are welcome with friendly faces. Overall, an experience of warmth and caring.
My mum lived in this care home for over 7 years and always seemed happy and healthy when I saw her. The staff were all very friendly and approachable and would always answer any queries or concerns I had. I was always welcomed into the home and offered tea/coffee and the atmosphere was nicely relaxed. The home is very clean and mum's room was cosy with all her photos, her own chair, and some ornaments. Mum enjoyed the music days best of all and quickly made some friends within the home . All her health and care needs were met with kindness and dignity and towards the end of her life they ensured she was comfortable and pain free which was so important to me.
I find the home and staff friendly and helpful when visiting to home.
