View Full Details of The BramblesI was invited to attend the VE Day celebration today. We enjoyed a sing along followed by afternoon tea traditional street party style! The home was decorated beautifully with detail to residents memories of the end of the war! It has been a very special visit that has left a lasting place in my heart, the people living there were so welcoming, taking time to show me around, the art work by one resident it amazing! Staff and management were so attentive to the people in their care! This in my opinion is how good care should be done! The team were amazing and joined in the sing along! Thank you and keep doing an amazing job!
Thank you for supporting us with a very big decision, to support our lovely relative/friend feel settled into your home, and making it feel like her home after a very short period. All the staff have showed love and support all the times.
Mom has been a resident at the Brambles for several years. During this time she has experience changes in her health but staff at the Brambles have been excellent at all times and have adapted to her changing care needs seemlessly. Mom enjoys the various activities that she can attend if she wishes. Staff are always welcoming when family visit and are happy for us to take Mom out to socialise and loan wheelchair, etc to allow this to happen safely.
Our cousin was really well cared for here over a nearly 2 years stay. She had advanced dementia with no memory, long or short term. Staff engaged her in activities & managed her incontinence well. We were always welcomed on visits, mostly unannounced. They kept us fully informed if she was ill & managed her decline & personality change at the end sympathetically. It always felt very friendly & our cousin really enjoyed the musical events when entertainers visited. A very caring home.
My Mother settled quickly at The Brambles. The staff are caring and considerate. There is a happy inclusive atmosphere and residents are encouraged to participate in the activities on offer which include crafts, drawing, quizzes, word search, memory days, yoga, and exercise to name a few. Carers make an effort to celebrate birthdays, and festive and special days.
My mom moved to the brambles care home during covid. It was a very traumatic time for the family when we were trying to find a home when we couldn't visit any of them. The Brambles was the only one who offered us a live video tour. We decided immediately that was the home for mom. The carers are wonderful mom. Mom has dementia. The carers treat her with dignity and kindness. They do some lovely activities that mom enjoys. The manager is also very approachable and gets involved. The carers are hard working, very friendly and cheerful. I would without hesitation recommend the Brambles.
From what I have seen with this care home they look after all residents and keep them occupied doing lots of activities and care is really good. Keep up the good work ,. The staff I found to be very friendly and look after the residents with a lot of respect as if each resident is a relation of theirs , I would also say that the management is very dedicated as well. Compared to other care homes I have contact with this one is number 1,
My dad was a resident at The Brambles in October and November 2022. He unfortunately had several health issues and high levels of anxiety but the staff were brilliant with him. They were all very patient and caring. The manager takes an interest in all the residents in order to give the best possible care, she and all the staff were lovely to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Brambles. Thank you again.
My Mom went into Brambles in July this year. I was very nervous that Mom wouldn't like it, but on the contrary, she quickly settled in. At first, she wouldn't come out of her room but the staff gently coaxed her to come down and join in with the activities. Every single one of the staff were welcoming and caring, nothing was too much trouble. I have to praise them for the varied activities that they do with the residents every single day, which I think is very commendable, not many homes offer that level of commitment to the residents. They have a Facebook page where they post pictures of what the residents have been doing during the day, which is a great way to stay in touch. My Mom only had a short time with them but she was happy and they made it memorable for her. I couldn't have asked for anything more for Mom and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brambles. The level of care was exceptional. The manager is first class. I'm so very grateful for everything they did.
My mother lived at The Brambles for almost four years until she passed away peacefully there in October 2022. During her time at the home, she made many friends and always spoke so highly of her marvellous carers who did so much to make her comfortable. She enjoyed the activities she was able to do and the entertainment and the sing-a-longs. Mother always loved her food and the food at the home did not disappoint! She would say that the quality and variety was excellent. For her 100th birthday, the staff put on a party for her and the residents, as there was no visiting allowed at the time indoors, due to Covid, but Mother had a wonderful time and she was allowed to meet her family and friends briefly outside the front door amongst all the decorations they had put up along the building. Mother was very happy at The Brambles, due in no uncertain terms to the love and care she received from the hardworking wonderful staff to whom we will always be so very grateful.
I'd like to give eternal thanks to all staff for the care you gave to my nan. She was happy to have you as her carers/friends/extended family. You've gone above and beyond in the past few months and we will never forget your kindness and continual hard work. You are all so special and please know we are all extremely grateful. Keep up the hard work.
My mother-in-law has been at The Brambles for 9 months. She constantly tells us how kind and considerate the staff are and how well she is looked after. She enjoys the food and when she has requested specific foods this has been arranged. She likes her room, surrounded by her own possessions. She likes the carers and enjoys the activities organised, particularly the outings to a nearby coffee shop. It is so reassuring for us that she is happy. We can speak to the staff at any time and they deal with any queries efficiently.
A very professionally run Care Home with kind, caring, respectful and hardworking staff in all areas. They know when Mom is not quite herself and have picked up on several infections before they could take hold. They also work hard to protect everyone’s mental health, especially during Covid. They have ensured that Mom and I have been able to keep in contact regularly, visiting when allowed by PHE and video calling her on her tablet. It’s fantastic to see her looking so much better; happy, smiling and laughing even enjoying a little “banter” with the carers. Lots of imaginative activities are arranged and there is a private social media group with regular posts showing these taking place. It’s fantastic to be able to see Mom happily joining in and that she has made friends there. It also lets me see what she’s up to, which definitely helps when we’re chatting. I can’t recommend The Brambles highly enough and am so relieved that Mom is part of The Brambles family.
My grandfather seems happier in there than he has been for years! He's well looked after, treated with respect and even when he's confused, he's always able to contact someone outside of the care home for reassurance. I'm so grateful for everything the workers do there - we couldn't ask for more, especially in such trying times!
I am grateful for and delighted with the level of care and support my father receives. I have only had positive experiences with any team member. I have also been impressed with the level of activities that residents are actively engaged in. I know my father is happy and settled which means a lot. Thank you, everyone.
My Mother in Law became a resident at the Brambles Rest Home since October 2015. My wife and I are extremely happy with her care and our Mother is contented and happy too! She loves mealtimes and highly recommends the cooking. The staff take time to look after her personal needs and nothing is too much trouble. Mother is mobile and chatty which enables her to mix well with other residents and staff.
Very clean and friendly home.
