Since mum has been a resident at The Moorings she has had excellent care from the manager and kind staff. Her room is very comfortable, the large window and French doors overlook the lovely garden. Everything is always very clean and tidy. The freshly cooked meals are very good and plentiful. Mum enjoys tea/coffee and biscuits served mid morning, and tea and cake mid afternoon. Whenever we are visiting we are always offered these as the staff want us to feel just as welcome as if we were in mum's own home. Nothing is too much trouble. The doctor and nurse visit The Moorings very quickly when required for a health check or medication. Mum enjoys fresh air on fine days as staff take her around the garden in the wheelchair. Movement by ball and balloon games while sitting in the lounge are fun, and mum loves to make a fuss of the 'pat dog' on her regular visits. The staff are very kind and thoughtful. Mum is happy, feels safe and well looked after which means a great deal to her family.

My mum has been in The Moorings for over two years and I can't speak highly enough of the care and compassion my mum has received. It is a truly wonderful home that cares for all. Lots of activities to suit all needs and so much support for families too. I have really appreciated the open communication and all the carers and staff know and care about all the residents. I couldn't have wished for a better home for my mum. The manager, Dani, is superb, as are all her team! Nothing is too much trouble and no question goes unanswered. A real gem of a care home!

So firstly I would like to say how wonderful The Moorings care home is. I currently have my mother in residence and my father was until he passed away last month. The care my father received whilst he was in his last month of his life was truly amazing. From the mangers all the way to the laundry staff, the level of care and kindness is always such a high standard. If I can speak about food, it is so well prepared and always very tasty. Facilities are brilliant and their hygiene level is really top top. Activities are to a very high standard including visits from Elvis and many animal sanctuary's. If someone asked me to rate The Moorings it would always be 10/10 across the board.

My mum went into The Moorings a year ago .From the first day the amazing staff led by a wonderful lady have been with her every step of the way.I cannot praise them enough they are kind, considerate ,caring and professional.I always know that she is clean, well fed ( fresh food) , safe in a homely friendly environment.Nothing is ever too much for the staff they are always there.Mum is always encouraged to join in the various activities and has made several friends with residents and their families and staff.The Moorings is like an extended family to us. Always being there not just for mum but for me as well on the bad days .I can't praise them enough.Would highly recommend.

Both my parents have been residents at The Moorings in Earsham for the past ten months, and the care they've received has been outstanding. From the very start, the staff have been warm, kind, and endlessly patient, always going above and beyond to make them feel at home. Both need support with mobility, and the team have helped them maintain their dignity and independence with real compassion. The home is spotless, welcoming, and full of warmth, with beautiful gardens and a lovely, calm atmosphere. The food is excellent, and the activities are thoughtful and engaging. Communication with families is brilliant, and we always feel included and reassured. We're so grateful to everyone at The Moorings for the care, respect, and kindness they show every day. It truly feels like a home from home, and we couldn't recommend it highly enough

Dad was cared for and looked after by the caring, dedicated and professional staff at The Moorings for 4 months. We can't praise them highly enough. He and all the family truly appreciated their friendship and care at the end of his life.

The Moorings is an absolutely amazing home with the kindest, nicest, most compassionate staff. My mother arrived in August 2023 in quite a bad way, but the carers, led by a wonderful lady, managed to settle her well and even got her involved in craft activities which she had never wanted to try in a previous care setting. Sadly, she died in April this year but following her wishes she remained in the care home until the end and I can only say the team were even more wonderful, if that were possible, during her last days. I will be forever grateful for the care, patience, kindness and compassion they showed her and would highly recommend The Moorings as a safe, caring, friendly and all-round fantastic place for a relative or friend. A heartfelt thank you to everyone.

My Mother lived at The Moorings for just over 3 years until she passed away. She always seemed happy, calm and well cared for. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The manager in particular kept us updated on any changes and needs. Mum enjoyed being pushed around the lovely gardens and also watching the rabbits, deer and birds in the fields beyond. Mum was treated with respect and dignity, especially in her last few days. Consequently, she remained calm and peaceful.

As soon as we walked into The Moorings we knew it was the place for Mum. It has the most friendly and welcoming atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for the staff who take such wonderful care of Mum. (She is taking part in activities which we never thought she would do!). When mum was 90 she was made a lovely cake by the fantastic catering team and all her children and grandchildren were made so welcome for the afternoon. Mum is very happy at The Moorings and thinks of the staff as her friends. I would very much recommend The Moorings to anyone looking for a care home for friends or family.

My father and my stepmother went into care at The Moorings together quite a few years back. The staff were excellent in helping them to adjust to their new life and they were able to enjoy several years before my stepmother passed away. The care she received was kind, considered, supportive and allowed them to be together in her end-of-life care. The staff continued to be gently at my dad’s side. Always knowing when he needed a bit more support and allowing him again to make the adjustments to his life. My dad has thrived in the caring, positive and happy atmosphere of The Moorings. He has made lots of friendships and I have never doubted that he is content and safe there. For residents and family it is an enormous step when considering care be it temporary or permanent but I can look back over many years now of my dad’s care at The Moorings and feel that we were fortunate to have found this care home.

From the day we looked around the Moorings when considering where Dad would like to see out his final years, I have nothing but praise for the Moorings. It's a fabulous welcoming and most importantly homely and safe environment. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff from the cleaners to the carers. They are like family not only to Dad but to me too. The care and attention they give my dad and everyone in the home is amazing. I genuinely don't know how they do it. They make sure they cater to each resident's individual needs, from the food to the activities so everyone has a chance to eat and do something they enjoy every day. Dad is genuinely so happy and at home here. This is all before you consider the immaculate and beautiful grounds that the care home is situated in. The gardens are kept to a very high standard and are a joy. Also, you can regularly see wildlife wandering in and out of the gardens which is lovely too. We couldn't have found a better care home.

Both my parents went into The Moorings in December 2022. Their care has been excellent. Mum received palliative care and sadly passed away in December 2023. The care and compassion she received was exceptional. Dad being left on his own received love and support from all the staff there after Mum's passing and is still receiving wonderful support. Every time we visit, there is always a friendly atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble.

My husband lived at The Moorings for twenty months and his care, especially in his last days, was exceptional. We are overawed by the kindness and dedication of all his carers, both to him and to ourselves. They looked after us with such love. If you are having a dilemma about arranging care for a loved one, do not hesitate. You will enjoy your visits to their beautiful grounds - as did we. Thank you to everyone.

Prior to her death, my mother was cared for in the most amazing and beautiful facility and spent her last years in the perfect and picturesque surroundings. The management and staff have been fantastic from the very first day to the last, when she passed in her sleep. The attention and care given to her throughout her stay was just exceptional. We could never have found a better place for her to live out the remainder of her life, surrounded by a professional and caring team. Literally, every staff member we came across was simply brilliant. We could not recommend this place highly enough. Our thanks to The Moorings!

The staff cared for my mum with such care, compassion and skill. As a family, we struggled so much with the decision that Mum needed more care and support than we could offer. We visited together and Mum chose The Moorings as a joint decision as a family. Despite finding it hard to settle Mum developed good relationships with people living and working there. As her illness progressed and she experienced difficulties after having had Covid, the staff were always so knowledgeable, supportive and put her needs first. In her last week they enabled us to spend valued and special time together, ensured she was comfortable and enabled her to have a 'good death' for which I will always be so grateful.

My wife was treated with the utmost care and attention, and she died among friends who were her carers. I cannot thank the staff of The Moorings enough, especially the manager who I now regard as my friend. The atmosphere at The Moorings is something that all care homes should aspire to. I was very pleased with the care that my father received during his stay at The Moorings. All aspects of care and facilities, the attitude of the staff and the management were good or excellent. I cannot speak more highly of the service that was provided and would willingly recommend this care home to anyone with age-related health problems and dementia.
