View Full Details of Westfield Park Care HomeI feel safe, secure and happy being in here. I like and get on well with all the staff. Plenty of choice regarding meals.
The care home is always clean and no smell. The staff are very attentive and caring. My friend always has a good thing to say regarding her care when I visit she is always happy to tell me how much she likes being there, and that the staff are always available if she needs anything.
My sister is 94 years of age. Since losing her husband 23 years ago, she has lived on her own. She hadn't been feeding or taking her medication properly. She asked me to find a care home for her. Having visited Westfield Park to see a friend, I decided this was the place for her. She gets three square meals a day and her medication at the right time of day. Loves her room and the staff, overall, she is very happy, safe and secure.
When my dad & I made the difficult decision to move my mum (who has dementia & cancer) into care, we were filled with fear, uncertainty & guilt. We were so anxious about whether she would receive the attention, compassion, & care she deserves. From the moment we stepped through the doors of WP & onto the Birch unit those fears began to ease. The staff welcomed us (& more importantly, mum) with open arms & warm hearts. They took the time to truly understand her needs, preferences & history, treating her as the unique individual she is rather than just a resident. The level of care & professionalism is outstanding. Every member of the team at WP goes above & beyond not only to ensure her health & safety but also to provide emotional comfort & companionship. They are patient, kind & clearly passionate about what they do. We've watched mum settle in, smile more, & even regain a bit of her spark (something we hadn't seen in quite some time). We're so very grateful to all at WP.
Extremely impressed with the service received so far. The team are extremely caring. Nothing is too much for them. My parents are in a joint room, which is lovely and homely.
When mum went into Westfield Park Care Home, she was in a very bad way, but with the care and medical help, she is nearly back to her old self. She has settled in and loves living at Westfield. She has made new friends and is very happy at Westfield. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a perfect care home.
I booked for one week's respite care - a little holiday. I have enjoyed a change of company and getting to know many of the residents. The staff have been very kind and helpful. There is a good atmosphere, blending freedom with safety rules. I have booked to stay another week later in the year.
Westfield Park has been and continues to be an excellent choice for my mother who has dementia. The facilities and services are great, and most importantly all the staff who look after my mum do so with kindness, friendliness and compassion. I very much appreciate the proactive approach adopted by the care team and I know I can absolutely trust Westfield Park to look after my mum at this stage in her life. The food and drinks provided by the home are excellent and thoughtful in presentation (eg milkshakes and ice cream to increase fluid intake). The laundry service is efficient, and Westfield Park is clean and well organised. My mother's physical disabilities means it is often difficult for her to participate in social events, but the care team do encourage and involve her where possible. Thank you all round to everyone at Westfield Park.
My first experience of respite. I found the staff were excellent but always rushed off their feet. I lost a fair amount of weight in 9 days due to the poor food, some of which was cold when it arrived. Some food was inedible. My room wasn't ready when I arrived, a mattress came later that day, as did a TV. The key to the lockable drawer was the wrong key and no replacement could be found. In conclusion, this has put me off future care home stays. I was also given the wrong meds one day which is inexcusable.
Very well presented care home was just as advertised, if not better. The level of care and knowledge is outstanding, large rooms, plenty of space & light. The staff have gone above and beyond to get Mum settled in and feeling cared for. As a family, we can't thank you enough. Well done.
As a family we were very anxious about putting mum into the home having had a bad experience elsewhere. However I can say one hundred per cent that we never looked back about our decision of choosing Westfield Park. The home is beautiful, the staff so very caring and professional. Mum went in for respite for a couple of weeks and in that time we could not believe how she changed, going back to being more alert due to the attention and company she received. Just to look at her we could see how well she was being cared for and mum herself had nothing but compliments for the lovely staff. As a family we felt so at ease with someone else having responsibility 24/7 but it was the standard of care and seeing mum thrive so well that made it all worthwhile. Even we could not compete! The food was also top quality and lots of activities going on. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. A big thank you to everyone that made mums visit a success.
Well run home. Staff efficent and friendly. A very pleasant stay.
Since my husband has been in I have seen an improvement in him. Doing more than when he was home. Staff are absolutely great also management they always have time for you very supportive. My only gripe is the laundry; one jumper ruined and laundry seems to take forever to come back. I am now taking his jumpers home to wash. You obviously need more machines to cope with so much washing.
The care provided for our aunt was first class, the room was very spacious, clean and welcoming. All the staff were very helpful and always asked if we wanted anything to drink, nothing too much for them, facilities are excellent, entertainment was great, we loved to join in, would highly recommend the home.
My brother and I moved our 92-year-old mother into Westfield Park last Friday 24 January 2025. We were literally amazed at the quality of the home. More importantly the staff and service provided is exemplary. Everyone is so helpful with a warm friendly and caring attitude. My mother was a little apprehensive about the move initially but after only three days is so much happier and content. All in all a fabulous care home.
The care my mum has received at Westfield has been brilliant. Mum arrived at Westfield after a traumatic period due to deteriorating dementia Previously Mum had been agitated and lost quite a lot of weight. Due to the care received and the excellent food Mum has now gained weight and is settled. When visiting, myself and my elderly father feel welcomed by all staff, who are friendly and helpful.
I have visited Westfield for 2 years. The home is lovely and has well-maintained grounds. The staff are lovely and approachable and work hard. At times there is a shortage which can be frustrating and upsetting. There have been issues with food in the past but now it is really good. Activites and outings are great and well-organised. Nothing is too much trouble for residents and their guests.
A big thank you to the whole team at Westfield- you go above and beyond. We appreciate the care, support and friendship shown to our mum over the past three-and-a-half years. Staff, many of who have worked there a number of years, know the residents well and there is a real sense of community. A family feel which made Mum feel settled and content. There are opportunities to enjoy company in the lounge, as Mum did, to socialise at mealtimes and during the wide range of activities. However those who prefer can use their spacious ensuite room as a flat - watching their own TV or chatting on the phone. Visitiors are always welcome and as a family we have felt confident that managers and staff are open and clear, keeping us up to date with regard to Mum's care.
I am so delighted with Westfield Park. Arranging for a parent to move into care is very difficult. Mum has settled really well and we know she is happy, well cared for, engaged and safe. The staff are all fantastic. They know the residents really well and create a loving and caring home atmosphere. Thank you.
Dad came here about 4 weeks ago after suffering a severe stroke, the staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The care home itself is warm and welcoming, they have areas for family to eat with their loved ones, there is also a bar and small shop. It's like a hotel for old people.
