View Full Details of Laverstock Care CentreMy mother was admitted to Laverstock Care Centre earlier this year. She had lost a lot of weight, had numerous falls, spirits were extremely low due to being isolated. But the difference now is uplifting. She has put on weight, she loved the food provided, and although she had a couple of falls, she has been looked after and checked over very quickly. She also enjoys the activities and having her hair done.
All staff very friendly and helpful. It has given me peaceful nights after so many noisy nights in hospital.
Staff friendly and helpful, Activities well supportive. Overall a good stay with all staff contribution to well being.
My husband come to Laverstock Care Centre for 8 days respite, it was his first time. For the first 3 days he was a bit lost - not knowing his way about but when the Customer Relationship Manager he was happier. The personal care, medication and food were excellent. My husband did struggle with being amongst other clients who were sick, dying and making a lot of noise. He enjoyed his room and the TV very much.
Home is clean and well-run. Staff good, treated with dignity. First care home we have been in that doesn't have an 'odour'. Thanks so much to all for looking after Dad in his final weeks.
I continue to be completely reassured by the standard of care provided to my father at Laverstock. He celebrated his 100th birthday there in August and I much appreciated the kindness and generosity of the management and staff in ensuring that he had a day to remember. I am confident that the nursing care he receives aligns completely with his mental and physical requirements and abilities and my questions as to his well-being are always answered honestly and willingly. My father prefers not to participate in the comprehensive agenda of activities, preferring to enjoy the television and newspaper in his room. Despite this, the activities team do let him know what is taking place and he is encouraged to participate. His frailty unfortunately does not permit him to enjoy the outside trips laid on by the team. I am always greeted in a friendly way by the reception, administration and facilities staff, who have always shown great kindness to me and other visitors.
Wife very happy.
I have been coming into Laverstock now for 11 years and have seen the ups and downs in the home over the years but I have to say the improvements have been excellent in the last year, so keep it up.
My experience at Laverstock Care Centre has been exemplary. After the first viewing, we accepted the offer of an available room only two days later. Every aspect of the care is superb. The nurses are wonderful, there are many of them and nothing is too much trouble. The food is very good. My husband has made excellent progress in the short time he has been here and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Laerstock Care Centre to anyone. A particular member of staff was always particularly helpful.
I found the care my sister received at the care home very good. All the staff are caring and friendly and do a very good job, the nursing staff are excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.
I have found my stay (2 weeks or 15 nights for some reason) very beneficial to my recovery after 2 weeks in hospital. I have done as much as possible for myself but when help was needed it was there and given with pleasure. The staff are amazing and show endless patience. I found the food very stoggy too much starch and not enough fruit. The helpings are too large so a lot of wastage but imaginative and varied.
The day I came for 2 weeks respite to enable my assessment for rehabilitation my first impression of the staff and facilities, it looked like a 4-star hotel with a team of staff working as a team, with smiles on their faces. I went home with wonderful thoughts about it and I am now with the wonderful team of physiotherapists, unbelievable! Yesterday was my first day of minor treatment and I have already achieved most of my goals. The care staff and managers are very good.
Welcoming greeted with a smile. My husband has been in this care home for a little while. Each and everyone of the staff are always caring and supportive when they are not busy with other clients. Carers just keep going nonstop. Weekends are a great concern, so few carers. Carers are very kind and supportive and dignified. As for management, do not know who they are. Rooms are ok, carpets could do with a shampoo. Kitchen meals are very poor, size of the kitchen needs to be larger, a lick of paint would go a long way. Water jugs and beakers are awful. If my husband eats any more mince meals, he's going to look like mince.z
Very friendly and welcoming staff. As you walk through the main doors it has a feeling of home and a calming presence.
First of all, can I start by saying a huge ‘thank you’ for making Dad feel so very welcome in his first week with you. Every single member of staff we’ve met over the last few days have been so kind, caring and genuinely helpful. Many have gone above and beyond and I feel so happy that he’s in your care. Dad has also confirmed that he feels really well looked after. The facilities are fantastic and the health and well-being activities that are put on daily are a great mix and a welcome addition to his great care. It is extremely clean and has a wonderfully warm and homely feel. Very blessed that we have this on our doorstep and can visit and take Dad out regularly.
Kind, caring and efficient. Looking after my aunt very well, knew about her and tailored their care. Lots of activities, many join in. Excellent food. The family are looked after well too. Very reassuring.
The staff are such lovely people, always polite and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, and I am always kept up to day with things. Always welcoming.
My partner was admitted to Laverstock Care Centre from hospital, having spent two weeks there after breaking his arm in a fall. Coming to Laverstock has been a positive experience for both him and myself and the support we have received has been excellent. The care and attention that he has been given have really impressed me. Staff are friendly and helpful in ensuring his needs are met.
My aunt is not an easy person due to both anxiety and dementia. The nursing team care for her in a very professional, friendly and caring manner. This meets both her physical and mental needs. The care in the nursing home is excellent.
The home is bright, clean and friendly. The rooms are well-appointed and cleaned on a daily basis. The staff are very patient and efficient. The leisure areas are clean, comfortable and quite stimulating. Activities are available on a daily basis. The food is fantastic, well cooked, with good-sized portions and a very good menu.
