The staff at the home are very professional at what they do and care for the residents. They are very helpful to the residents. The residents are looked after in a safe manner. I don't think they need to improve anything, as they are very caring.

My mum has been in Hatton Grange since Jan 25. They all get together for meals in the dining room to meet up and chat. The food smells and looks good.
She has her own room and floor sensors during the night for protection.

My mum has been in Hatton Grange for over 2 years now, and in all that time she has been very settled and happy. I look forward to seeing her because that's exactly what I want for her. The staff who work there are so caring and make time to include the residents and visitors. (There is always a cup
of tea and biscuits available!) It has been such a relief to know my mum is safe and happy.

My mum has been living at Hatton Grange for the last 3 years. It has been a rollercoaster in terms of a staff member being a nightmare and bringing a lot of unnecessary stress to my mum, who suffers from vascular dementia, but that has all been resolved by the management. I do feel that the staff
are run off their feet and should be more if the home wants better results, but generally most of the staff are lovely and try they're best. The deputy manager is brilliant, as are most of the staff on the top floor where Mum is. The big concern for me is the cleanliness, and the top floor needs a new kitchen at times, it's disgustingly old, and it also needs a lick of paint. Been going 3 years, top floors have never been decorated, and looks very tired. It should also have electric gates, not secure enough, bad area.

Margaret has been a resident at Hatton Grange for 5 years next month. She is going to be 104 in August. The care she has had for all the years and continues to be is exemplary.
That care is not just physical, because she is unable to walk, but the love and kindness that she receives is very much
appreciated by her family. Also the management of the home is excellent.

Mum has been a resident for three and half months and in that time we have noticed she is more relaxed and seems happy here. All staff are approachable and helpful and work hard with activities for residents. There appears to be a regular relatives meeting, which I am hoping to attend next time.
There are two therapy dogs which I think is a great idea for the residents to pet, as it feels like a homely place. Overall we are happy and fortunate we found a care home that suits Mum's needs.

Some areas need a little TLC. Always a pleasure to visit Hatton Grange.
Such a friendly place.

I would not recommend the dementia unit to any of my friends or family. Poor dementia care provided by staff. No consistency of staff. Communication from leadership was virtually non-existent. I more often than not found my Dad's bathroom dirty and had to request it was cleaned. The shower was
broken and I had to request it be repaired. The food provided was of a poor quality. I often found residents were unsupervised in the lounge area because of understaffing. Leadership were unresponsive when confronted about issues and problems we faced with the dementia care we were receiving for my Dad. Leadership were never seen on the dementia floor. There was an activities timetable displayed on the wall but the family saw only one activity taking place. Needless to say, we moved my Dad out of Hatton Grange.
