View Full Details of Aughton ParkWent with a friend who has an aunt in this care home. I must say I was very impressed by the standard of care the residents received. My friend's aunt really was happy there and says she is well looked after. Well done
My initial impression of Aughton Park was a warm, friendly and homely place, and this has not changed. The management are excellent and interacts with the residents and families. The staff are lovely and hardworking, treating the residents with care and dignity. I am very happy that my friend is here. All staff have time for the residents. I have visited a few care homes and this is by far superior in warmth and care than most.
All care staff have been helpful, friendly and respectful towards my brother and myself since he arrived 2 months ago, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and building a relationship with my brother. My brother is always clean, tidy and has fresh clothing every day. The management team are approachable and nothing is too much trouble if we need help or advice. The care home is spotlessly clean and staff work hard to keep it that way. You get a good feeling about the home when you enter it.
My Mother has been at Aughton Park for over 8 years. She is happy in the home and is always eager to return after she has been out. The staff at the home are wonderful and in the time my Mother has been there she has always been treated with respect and care. I would particularly like to praise the Administrative manager and Senior members of staff who have been at the home since my Mother has been there and have gone far beyond what is expected to help my Mother. The chaplain at the home is also excellent and the activities coordinator makes a huge effort to involve all the residents. I am pleased that the garden has been improved recently, although I wish that residents could do more activities outside. I would like to thank everyone at Aughton park for the care they provide and keeping my Mother safe and happy,
My friend has been in the care of this lovely home for over 4 years and the care she receives now is still the same as on day one, the staff are kind, caring and very thoughtful to each individual resident, nothing is too much trouble for them. The home is exceptionally clean and tidy with a good range of activities and the gardens are maintained to the same high standard. The admin side is run very smoothly and efficiently. The home seems to have found the right balance for the staff and the residents alike as it always has a nice atmosphere.
Aughton Park is welcoming with friendly and helpful staff. My Mum is looked after well by attentive staff and her needs met. She participates in a variety of activities throughout the week and these are well run.
My brother is in Aughton Park, we found the staff fabulous, helpful, caring nothing is too much trouble, it is immaculate well maintained and cleanliness is superb, the chef will prepare anything for you, my brother is special needs, and has settled in amazingly, which is perfect as he usually struggles with new people and surroundings which shows how comfortable and safe he feels there
I am writing this review with sadness that my lovely dad has just passed away but wanted to highlight the wonderful care he was given until the very last day. Dad was a resident of Aughton Park for 5 years, and his dementia changed as expected over that period. Throughout his stay there dad was so happy and content. The care provided is second to none , hence why i think dad lived to a great age of 91. He was always dressed smartly, very clean and shaved most days and that didn't waiver for the full 5 years even when personal care had to be increased at the end. There are always things that can be improved ( some of the ground floor areas need a refurb and the quality of food could be better , but dad didn't notice or complain about either, he was safe and well looked after) During dads last few weeks he couldn't have been treated with any more dignity respect and love. The team genuinely care and together we were all heartbroken and I am so glad his final days where at Aughton Park.
In the last 10 years, I have visited friends in various care homes in the area and found Aughton Park to be one of the best. Since becoming a resident, I have found it to live up to my expectations. The management and staff are very helpful and caring. I have settled in well, made new friends and enjoy taking part in the activities.
This care home is all that anyone could ask for. My mother in law has been a resident with dementia for 18 months. As happens with this condition she can experience frustration at her situation. It is a testament to the genuine kindness and care of all of the staff that my mother in law always looks well, and has all her needs taken care of; everything from personal care, to food, company and activities. I could not fault the standards of food, medical attention, cleanliness and communication with family. The reception area has the aura of a pleasant country hotel. But what makes this home special is that there is a warmth at the heart of it, which comes from the warmth of the staff and it's ethos. This is a good place for loved ones who need help. I know from experience not all care homes are like this. Thank you Aughton Park.
Mum is very happy at Aughton Park; she has been there for nearly four years now. She talks highly of the staff for their kindness and the way they care for her an that nothing is too much trouble. She has a lovely room and really appreciates having her own phone and Sky TV, which make a big difference to her daily life. The small acts of thoughtfulness mean a lot-for example, when she drops something on the floor and staff pick it up for her. We her children are always made welcome by staff when we visit.
My mother has been at Aughton Park for almost 10 years, and seems content despite her dementia. The home is well maintained and always seems comfortable. The staff are professional and seem thorough, and know the residents well. When she has needed medical care or a hospital visit, that has been dealt with properly and the staff are good at communicating any needs she has. We typically visit unannounced and have never seen any matter of concern; the staff have done what they can to make our visits go well, even through meal-times. We're happy with the support from the staff team: they've stepped in to provide the care that we no longer could.
Aughton Park is a modern building with space for residents to wonder around and a secure garden area for when the weather is good. Some of the individual residents rooms and shared areas are looking rather shabby however they are gradually being renovated. The staff are generally very caring and courteous; although there does seem to be a lot of agency staff at weekends some of whom are not familiar with the individual residents or daily routines. The food seems to be reasonable and cooked on site, kept warm in a portable oven. Staff do their best to encourage/remind the residents to eat their food/drink There is a hairdresser available who takes good care of the residents appearance. The on-site laundry does a great job cleaning/ taking care of the residents clothes. The senior/management staff are responsive to queries.
It's a well run and kind atmosphere in this MHA care home. The staff are compassionate and thoughtful and the home a clean with good food. My Gran has been in there for years and is well cared for. I've a friend who travels from Liverpool area to visit his Mum and it's not in his doorstep.
My mother has been in Aughton Park for about 18 months and is exceptionally happy and well cared for there. I cannot praise the staff at every level highly enough. They are all patient, caring, compassionate and skilled in their work. Communication is excellent, they have always been ready to offer sound advice to us as a family when asked, and at all times I have felt my mother has been looked after to an exceptionally high standard. There are regular meetings for families where updates, discussions and constructive feedback are shared. As a family, we have also been able to attend events such as the Christmas and summer fayres, carol services and seasonal religious celebrations. Activities provided for residents are excellent, always appropriate to the resident group and often involving the local community. Aughton Park always impresses as a calm, positive, warmly welcoming setting and I am delighted my mother has been lucky enough to be cared for there.
My brother is happy in Aughton MHA. The staff are very caring and a big effort is made to provide activities for all to get involved in. My brother feels safe in the environment and he enjoys the food. I send my thanks to all the team.
My father was scheduled to go to Aufgton Park from home but unfortunately had a fall down stairs just before he was due to go there, and after 2 weeks in hospital his mobility was limited and he was very stressed. Aughton Park has been so good for him, and having started in a wheelchair he is now walking without a frame or aids, thanks to the support of the staff. The management and staff are exceptionally kind and caring from the most senior manager to the newest member of the team. There is so much patience and professionalism and he now looks far more cared for and is starting to settle and relax a little, as he knows heis safe and cared for. There are activities during the week, and the atmosphere is gentle caring and calm. I am so happy to have my Dad looked after in the way he deserves.
Attentive, caring and friendly staff who provide consistently high quality support for those in various stages of dementia in the specialist unit. Meals are of a high standard and, for those who struggle to eat, dedicated assistance is provided. Rooms are cosy and have an en suite wet room. The communal areas are of a good standard and the lounge is bright and spacious. There are plenty of activities for those who wish to participate and staff ensure that everyone gets the most out of their experience. Not a cheap option but delivers a first class service. I have every confidence that Aughton Park is absolutely the best place for my mother to be. She is happy, safe and well cared for.
At short notice, the Manager at Aughton Pauk arranged for me to receive respite care following surgery and a crisis. I was warmly welcomed with the standard of care excellent for my needs- respite- short stay -4 weeks. All aspects of my stay were excellent, staff helpful and appropriate for my changing needs as my condition improved. I would certainly recommend Aughton Park and will use them for respite or longer care if needed.
The carers are very kind and understanding of my husband's needs. They have a friendly approach to him and he appears to enjoy this. He is kept clean and also his room which is en suite. There are plenty of activities if he wishes to join these. The gardens are easily accessible so when the weather is nice we can walk around. He appears happy here which is a relief to me.
Went with a friend who has an aunt in this care home. I must say I was very impressed by the standard of care the residents received. My friend's aunt really was happy there and says she is well looked after. Well done
