View Full Details of Bloomfield CourtMy mother lived in Bloomfield House for about 18 months before she died in May 2025, she was 93 years old and suffering from dementia. The staff at the home were exceptionally kind and understanding. They knew all the residents personally and knew their likes and dislikes. My mom had lived with me for a time before we thought it necessary to go into a home with specialist care. I personally could not cope with her mood swings and escape attempts. We visited several homes before choosing Bloomfield and we were all very pleased with the outcome. She settled in very well, enjoyed the food and joined in the activities. We never felt concerned about her safety or wellbeing while she was there and when she died the staff were so considerate and kind. Even at the funeral one of the caseworkers came in his own time, which I thought was so lovely.
All of the staff - carers, office staff, catering, maintenance... always have a smile for the residents. It is lovely to see that my dad always has a smile for the staff too - a sign that he feels happy, comfortable and safe. Recently, my parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to make this a special occasion for them both and our family. It meant so much to my mum to be able to celebrate this with my dad in surroundings where he felt comfortable and at ease. Thank you so much
My Dad had been a resident for over 4 years. The staff loved and cared for my dad during the advancement of his dementia and then his care when he was diagnosed with advance lung cancer in May 2025. They get everything in place for dad that he needed so he had a peaceful, comfortable and dignified passing in August 2025. My brother and I can not thank the staff for their care.
The family can't thank bloomfield court enough for the support and help for my nan, within a few days of being here my nan is eating, laughing, sleeping and clean. We can approach any member of staff at anytime and nothing is to much bother. The staff on reception are exceptional when the family have had any questions or needs. My nan is also getting her dignity back also making friends.
My father has been a resident since April 2024 and in this time he has received the care we believe was required for his Alzheimer's. The staff are all great with all the residents not just my father and are happy to help and we feel can be trusted to meet my father's needs. As his condition has slowly worsened it has been almost impossible to take him out of the home, so as it was my parents 60th wedding anniversary at the end of August we had asked if it would be possible to hold a small family gathering to mark the occasion. The management happily facilitated this without hesitation, providing a private area for the occasion, some decorations, some refreshments and a member of staff popping in at regular intervals to make sure everything was ok. This was topped off by the staff presenting my mother with a lovely bouquet of flowers to mark the occasion, which I know she found lovely and very thoughtful. I would 100% recommend Bloomfield Court.
Everyone treated myself, mom and my sister like part of the family. We were all treated with nothing but warmth and caring. Staff were all exemplary in their treatment of mom from Oct 24 to July 25. On the day mom passed all members of staff came to pay their respects. The staff from manager to carers, cleaners and cooks were all very professional yet having great empathy and affection for us as a family. They have all left a loving impression with us and keep them in our hearts. You should be so proud of all who are employed at Bloomfield Court.
Our Mom was in Bloomfield Court for 10 months and can honestly say the care, kindness and love bestowed on her, and us as the extended family was second to none. All the staff are credit to Anchor and certainly make Bloomfield Court the kind and caring place it is. We really couldn't have chosen a better care home for Mom's final months. When Mom died the staff were so respectful and attentive, we were wrapped in such warmth, we cannot thank the staff enough for what they did for us.
My mom has been at Bloomfield Court for a year now. The staff are very good. The food and activities provided are also very good. If I have any concerns they are dealt with immediately. I feel mom has settled in nicely now and it makes me really happy when they have taken photographs of her when partaking in the activities provided. I am also asked regularly if I am happy with her care plan.
We used Bloomfield Court twice before for respite care and therefore had no hesitation to choose it for a permanent move for mom, even though there were options closer to us. Staff are all kind and caring. All rooms are clean. Whenever I have a question or problem it is dealt with quickly or they call me back asap.
My sister has only been in Bloomfield Court for a short while, 8 weeks, but we have been very pleased with the care she is receiving.
I am very pleased with the care that my sister is receiving.
My mum receives very good care. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. The home is clean and the meals look and smell very nice. A good variety of activities are provided for the residents and families are made welcome.
My mother has been at the home about 16 months now. She was a bit mithered when she first arrived but she settled in quite quickly. Bloomfield Court have some very good carers who are very friendly with mom and family alike. Overall we are pleased with the care that mom is receiving.
Generally, all options are to a satisfactory standard, can not say any more because I am not using the care home.
Very pleased with all the staff, all dedicated to their jobs, looked after Mom very well and couldn't do enough for her. We would recommend this home to anyone. My brother and myself were very grateful.
My husband was a resident for two weeks in respite. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and he was content. My only complaint was the weekend when it was difficult to enter and leave the premises.
Dad's been here for six months. We had a few teething problems with Dad settling but all staff were on hand to help us. The home always put Dad's care first. Always good communication on both sides.
My mom has been a resident since October 2023, this was a huge step for us as a family, like it is for anyone who loves their parents. I just want to say how accommodating and welcoming the staff made my mum feel. I've spent time at Bloomfield. In the garden and at the front door, on the bench, a lot of people come back and forth, staff, family members for the other residents and everyone I've come in contact with, there has always been a positive vibe. Well done everyone there and keep up the excellent work.
Since my mom came into Bloomfield Court she is very settled. I have no worries or concerns about my mom's care. If I have any problems it is quickly sorted out. Staff very helpful.
It is the greatest comfort to know Mum is safe and happy with the staff and residents. We are happy with all her care and have no complaints. Thank you.
