View Full Details of The AnchorageEverything about The Anchorage is absolutely fantastic. The level of care, support and friendliness is outstanding, and they go above and beyond to look after residents. They make the transition into care seamless, providing love and care at every stage.
Finding The Anchorage was the very best thing that I did for my husband. I looked after him at the house with Alzheimer's, it was so very tough, and he just ate and slept every day. Immediately after he arrived, he blossomed again and joined in, and his cheeky smile was back. He loved the kind care and attention that he was given, and the staff just could not be kinder - everyone. And then as he deteriorated, but still had the splendid care. Thank you all so much.
My brother has now become a resident, due to ill health. His transition to the home from hospital was quickly and efficiently carried out. Everyone I have met (staff) have been extremely friendly and efficient. My brother has settled in extremely well. The grounds are peaceful for the residents and visitors alike.
Excellent experience, very friendly and helpful staff.
As always my relative is well cared for with the dignity she deserves. I can only praise all the staff for the way they look after her.
Mum and Dad moved into The Anchorage in January 2025 as Mum's health was failing. In past years they had visited friends here and had already formed a favourable opinion. This was fully reinforced when I visited with Dad prior to moving them in. The accommodation is very warm, clean and homely, light-filled dining room with tablecloths and napkins a nice touch. The staff are very caring and attentive. Sadly we lost Mum after a couple of months but the care she received in her last weeks was outstanding. Since her passing Dad has been extremely well-supported too. Finally, the meals deserve a mention, the chef prepared the food freshly every day, a big hit with Dad!
I went to visit a friend who is a resident. The staff greeted me with kindness and all were very friendly. The manager was very helpful. I arrived at lunchtime and the food looked amazing and my friend said it is delicious. The chef gave me a pudding as I was sitting with my friend, and that was very delicious! I would recommend The Anchorage here at Pulborough to my friends. Also me when I need care. xx
The Anchorage is a friendly, efficient, wonderful Care Home They have many activities with visiting entertainers Like today with it being St Patrick's Day they had an Irish Dance group to entertain the residents It has been mums home for the last 15 months and I know that mum is being cared for well which makes me know that she is safe, secure and happy Thank you
We visited a patient staying at The Anchorage today. We called unexpectedly and were received by the delightful manager who took us to see our friend. He was in good spirits and was able to talk to us (in response to a question) about how kind and caring were the staff. As we sat talking other patients began to gather as it was approaching lunchtime. Ther4e was a warm, happy, and friendly atmosphere. We left the house with smiles on our faces.
We feel that the care our friend receives at The Anchorage is excellent. She is delighted with her room which looks out to the garden and pond. The staff are very kind and caring and if they have spare time sit and chat to her. She says the quality of the meals is excellent and she can request her favourite food. Well done to The Anchorage, keep up the good work!!
I have visited The Anchorage once to visit my friend. I was impressed by the atmosphere, the staff, who all seemed very attentive, and the facilities. We joined my friend for lunch, which was very good. She said she hopes to go back to her home, but if that's not possible would be content to stay at The Anchorage.
It is very safe to holiday here. The fundraising is most comfortable. The staff most kind. I really mean that.
I can't express my gratitude to all the staff at The Anchorage for the care they gave my husband, after he had had a serious operation. He was given an extremely clean and very comfortable bedroom where he could relax and recuperate. The staff were like family, they always had a happy and cheerful face and nothing was too much trouble. The daily menus were just as he liked it and staff often catered to his tastes. As I am elderly also, everyone showed concern for my mental welfare when I visited my husband on a daily basis beyond the call of duty which I truly appreciated. If ever I needed care or respite in my old age, I would certainly want to go to The Anchorage.
I visited a friend at The Anchorage at their Summer Party in September and was so impressed by the effort that had gone in to making it such a special day for the residents, there was a fabulous band, ice cream van, close up magician, great food and lots of effort had gone in to the whole event. My friend said she was extremely happy there and the carers were so kind and lovely, the food was great and she was well cared for. It's such a relief to see her happy here, I would certainly recommend The Anchorage.
My mother has been at The Anchorage for 2 1/2 years. Prior to moving to The Anchorage she had a very brief spell at another care home in Horsham that left her with a dreadful impression of life to come in a care home setting. The Anchorage however is everything that first home was not and she regained her zest for life. The care manager and the rest of the management team and staff are simply fantastic and completely focused on providing the best quality of care and support to residents. Never have have we encountered anything other than total professionalism, efficiency and commitment which has always been delivered in the most friendly personal way. The rooms, common areas and gardens are always spotlessly clean and well-maintained. In terms of fees it is competitive and represents excellent value. We count ourselves very fortunate to have found The Anchorage and cannot recommend it highly enough.
I have a nice room with a lovely room. I enjoy the food and activities. The staff are very helpful and caring. All my needs are taken care of.
My dear friend has been at The Anchorage for about two years. When she was admitted there her health was indeed very poor. Now she is cheerful and active, this is all due to the wonderful care in the home. The care and kindness shown is outstanding. Every need is catered for and this is all down to the staff from the manager, deputy and all the staff I met, I can only say they are a credit to the company.
I have visited The Anchorage a few times now. I have always experienced a very warm and helpful welcome from the staff. The home itself seems and smells very clean and well-kept. I would strongly recommend it.
My cousin speaks highly of the home and the people working there. Very attentive and polite.
As a family we are really happy with the care my mother is receiving. The Anchorage is a wonderful country house and gardens. The staff are excellent. The residents can be involved with the activities or left in the privacy of their rooms. Visiting is always a pleasure and my mother is lucky enough to have grandchildren and great grandchildren and dogs to visit and possibly sit in the garden. Weather permitting. Probably the only negative is the fish and chips (not to her palate) bit hard.
