View Full Details of Church View (Oswaldtwistle) Residential HomeMy Mum has been a resident at Church View for a couple of years as she has dementia & after a fall could no longer walk & remain in her own home. The staff & management are fabulous and went out of their way to help mum settle and to get mum a special wheelchair to aid with her restricted ability with sitting & to aid lifting/moving. They always try to include mum in the activities despite her limited movement & she appears settled & happy in herself. The addition of a private social media group is a fantastic way for me to keep in touch when I'm unable to visit daily. The staff keep in touch with me about any appointments/flu jabs etc & any needs mum might have. I would highly recommend Church View for your loved one.
Brilliant staff they do so much for my brother i reallt appreciate the hard work these people do . Haley and all other staff thanku 4 loookin after my brother .my brother has so much support from everyone at churchview i thankyou
My mum has been at church view oswaldtwistle for over a decade now and has had nothing but the best residential care focused on my mums indivual needs. Shes has a great close relationships with staff who in my opinion go above and beyond for her. She has also made friends with other residents and for the last few years we have noticed a big improvement in her overall, which is amazing.
My Mum moved in January 2025. It was the hardest decision of my life as she is and always was so independent however she lost her Husband in November 2024 and her Alzhiemers symptoms meant she required more help. I really was unsure how either of us would cope with the transition and as a former nurse myself a bit anxious. I can't praise the staff enough. Everyone there, Hayley the Manager and her Team are all kind, knowledgeable and committed to making the environment and residence homelike, stimulating age appropriate and happy. They've helped me understand how to understand my Mum's needs better and welcome visitors. My Mum's is relaxed happy and cared for. To be honest she looks so much better in herself and has a lovely homelike environment to share with the other people who live there and has made friends. Meals home-cooked, beautiful decor. It's always spotless and staff always on hand to help people look and feel their best.
Having made the difficult decision to put my mum into a care home as she is very elderly with dementia but is receiving excellent care not just in practical terms but is treated with dignity love and compassion. In fact I would say she is thriving and the staff go above and beyond her daily care and needs. It is a very friendly place to visit and gives me complete peace of mind,
My Dad is resident at Church view and what a difference this has made to him. The manager and staff are so accommodating, they all get involved in the activities and really care which is great to see. Dad is happy and settled, he takes part in activities and enjoys spending time with the other residents which clearly shows how settled and happy he is every time we as a family visit him. They take him out on trips, he's been bowling, to the local pub and even going to the cinema which for Dad is so, so good as his social life is back again and he's enjoying himself, smiling and chatting which for Dad is such a good thing. Dad reports the food is always good and there's plenty of choice, they always give residents a choice and it's no trouble to make them something different. Rooms are clean, spacious with everything needed. All the staff are friendly and you can speak with them and ask anything and they will try to accommodate. I would highly recommend Church view.
When the time came to find a home for our Dad it was upsetting but once I had looked round Church View I was relieved and happy knowing it was the best one for Dad. He had been poorly and on a drastic decline and needed to move him out of the place where he was at the time. So 5 months on and Dad's a changed man chatting away eating and drinking well and getting involved in all activities. He's made friends here with fellow residents and staff. He's happy and well cared for and can't thank the manager and staff enough for everything they do. If my Dads happy then so is his family. He's settled, safe and knows this is his home now. He loves his room. We are pleased he's doing so well. Long may it continue.
This care home is excellent, I chose it by accident as I thought I was applying for another place with the same name, but this turned out to be a happy accident. My brother said the staff were nice from top to bottom and I can vouch that the manager runs a great facility. I have found her to be very approachable and you feel that she genuinely cares about the residents, but she is also a fierce advocate when dealing with outside bodies and agencies on behalf of the residents. The food is excellent, the rooms comfortable and clean, and the staff friendly, caring and diligent. This is my first real experience of dealing with a care home and I can't praise Church View enough - highly recommended.
This home is one of the cleanest, nicest smelling, friendly homes anybody could wish for in their later life. The manager has been nothing but helpful and honest with the care of my aunt, all the staff are welcoming and nothing's too much trouble, always offered a brew, food is brilliant, can’t recommend enough really! Five stars from me.
I couldn’t have asked for a better home for my mum. The care she receives is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble. After working in the care sector myself for 15 years, I’ve never met such a caring manager, she goes above and beyond for all her residents, and staff, and family! I don’t have to worry or think about my mum when I can’t visit, we know she is in the best place possible. Do not hesitate to place your loved one in here.
The staff are all wonderful, they go out of their way to help you and also help their relatives. The home could do with a little updating but that is ongoing. They keep you updated on anything that is going on and updates about my brother that lives there, if he needs anything or is having a bad day they ring us straight away. His room is cosy, also my brother has a good view of the garden, he loves sitting and watching the birds in the trees and going out to feed them. He enjoys his meals and if there is anything he does not like he tells them (in a good way) and they sort something else out for him. He has his washing done with his own washing powder that he needs to use and it is put away in the right drawers or wardrobe (because I am fussy about that) and is always clean and tidy. They also keep his room neat and tidy. We know that he is safe and well looked after, we definitely would recommend the home to anyone.
Since my father has been in the home he is well looked after. I can relax more, as I know he is being taken care of properly. The home, care team and manager are excellent. Very caring and friendly, excellent teamwork. The food is excellent, my dad is gaining weight.
My grandmas arrived at Church View at Christmas 2018. Just survived life-threatening sepsis and she put up a fight and she was black and blue. Six months later, she is back to full health, walking and regained her weight with the help of the nurses and doctors at Church View. Thank you.
Just too wonderful to put into words. Been coming over eight years, twice a week to see my brother.
Our auntie is in this home, the best she's been in, staff are wonderful, caring and the home is safe, which is most important to us.
My brother came to Church View the middle of February, he was at that time very run down and thin and looking really neglected. Since being in Church View, he has come on leaps and bounds - he has put lots of weight on and has become a very happy individual, he now becomes involved with other residents and has a laugh and a joke with the carers, who are excellent. I would recommend this place to everyone.
A change in management 6 months ago has seen the level of care and upkeep of Church View improve substantially. Staffing levels are consistently high and a good quality providing the residents with a great support team who attend promptly, with dignity and most importantly with compassion. Still, a work in progress but myself and my brother are very satisfied with Church View and all that they are providing for our Mum. Unsung heroes of society.
The staff at Church View are very nice and approachable and hard working. They make you feel welcome. If I had one criticism it would be to maybe try and do more activities with the residents i.e. Take them out for a walk in nice weather or to a show etc. Other than that I would recommend Church View to anyone that asked and my mum is happy there.
I feel this residential home is friendly and welcoming establishment. My mother is well looked after and her health constantly monitored. If any problems do occur the management are quick to contact me and do whatever is needed. The most impressive feature of the home I find is that all the staff seem to genuinely care about the residents.
Staff seem very competent in their working environment. Very friendly and helpful. My auntie is ever so happy being waited on by the staff.
