My mum has been in Totham Lodge since December 2024. She was at death's door, refusing to eat and drink. But with compassion, perseverance and patience every member of staff took it in turns to get her tempted with food and drink. Even the owner and manager!
And they did it. They turned her life
around and she has put on loads of weight (she needed to).
The staff are all the same as in December 2024. It doesn't feel like a care home. It feels like one big family.
And the building and grounds are so beautiful and full of character.
Totham Lodge holds frequent relatives meetings, a summer barbecue and a Christmas party. Also, the residents are taken out for trips.
Thank you to everyone who works there.

I moved my mother to Totham Lodge following unpleasant experiences elsewhere. It was the best decision. Although not purpose built, the management and staff at Totham are a shining example of how to care for the elderly when they can no longer care for themselves. Everyone there is completely
invested in the care that they give. I was always totally and completely confident that my mother was safe and looked after in the best possible way. I cannot express how glad I am that my mother was able to spend her last 2 years at Totham.

I can never thank the staff at Totham Lodge enough for the kindness and love they gave my mum during her 11-month stay. She was always clean and happy and I was always greeted with respect and politeness. Mum passed peacefully with end-of-life care, always grateful to everyone involved including her
doctor.

As homes go, it's as near to being at home as you could get. It's not all white-washed and clinical. It's a friendly home atmosphere that people of my mum's age like.

My mother, who is 97, continues to receive ongoing care and support which is very professional, tailored to her needs and responsive to any problems/difficulties that may occur.
