I am writing this review as the daughter of a resident. My mum has lived at Diamond House coming up 7 years. Generally speaking the family has been satisfied with the care given to Mum. Additionally, also satisfied with how approaches to the family have been made over the time.

As we are unable to visit my father in law as often as we would like living more than 3hrs away it is most reassuring to know he is being cared for extremely well, he always looks clean and tidy and from what we can see he seems to react well to his carers who are very patient with him.

Whenever I visit my friend at the home she is well and happy. The carers are friendly and helpful and answer any questions I might have. My friend always says that she enjoys the activities that she takes part in and also that the meals are very good.

No change from the last review. We are very pleased with the care our Mother is receiving. It's a real shame she cannot join in the activities though and it's her condition that's restricting participation. It's a shame really because she's very fond of Penny and very much likes her company, who
always takes time out to say hello when passing or on breakfast duty. Although my father Alan is not a paid resident he too is very well cared for whilst he visits our mother every day. Since my mothers arrival I have also bought Marlene into the home on the first floor and with her very limited family I guess you would struggle to obtain a meaningful review which if asked I'm more than willing to complete. There are some real staff stars in the home who go the extra mile to make our mothers stay has enjoyable as possible and you all know who they are and thank you for your ongoing care and special love offered to our Mummy.

Mum joined you in November last year after her dementia became too dangerous for her to stay at home. It was an extremely difficult and emotional decision we had to make, we didn't want to lose her.
But, she has settled in well, and the staff are so kind and caring. she is cared for, clean and happy
in her own world, the home atmosphere is so friendly, that we always feel welcome, and even though mum may not remember us anymore, her face lights up for the carers, which, can only be a good thing, because, if she didn't like them her face wouldn't lie.
Personally, I love the phone call from the staff, and doctors, keeping me informed of mums health and well being, that means so much to me, after being her prime carer for so long, I still feel involved. None of us want our loved ones to be away from us, But. I believe we were so lucky to find Diamond house... you have made our lives easier, it could've been much harder so Thankyou from all the family

My aunt is very well cared for and although she has dimenture she never questions the care she receives. She enjoys the life she is now living and it's a great piece of mind to know her needs are being fulfilled.

I am always extremely pleased when I visit my brother, he always tells me how content he is at the home and the excellent care the staff provide. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and always make sure that he is happy and ensure that his needs are met. I am confident that if there were
any problems or concerns the staff would inform me.

The staff are always very friendly to myself when I come to visit my mum but more importantly they are kind and talk nicely to my mum , I can walk away knowing my mum is safe and is being well cared of
My mum has a lovely bright room, she is always clean and appears happy .

My brother, sister and I are very happy with the excellent care that our uncle receives in Diamond House. We know he is safe and warm and well fed. The staff are always very helpful and keep in regular contact as we don't live very close to the Home. It is quite difficult living a distance away
but we feel very reassured that he is being monitored and cared for by a very capable team of people.

Over the past twelve months, conditions have improved a lot within the care home. The staff are a lot more kinder and supportive towards the service users, who are cared for well. I've noticed there are certain outstanding members of staff who go the extra mile to make sure the residents are happy
and safe, while most of the not so nice staff have gone. Keep up the good teamwork guy's.Thanks for caring and sharing!

My brother was taken into the Sapphire wing at the beginning of May with a severe pressure sore which has now healed well. All the staff have been excellent in looking after him. He has some very complex caring needs and has very limited communication after a brain tumour. They constantly update me
on any problems that need addressing.

Sapphire house do a very good job with residents that are least difficult to deal with .
All the staff do a good job and a few of them go the extra mile to make the residents happy to be at the home and give the relatives of the residents comfort in knowing that they are being looked after as well
as can reasonably be expected

Great place , carers are fantastic, mum is always clean and tidy and fed well , no one wants to end up in care but we couldn't manage and it was a must and I'm so happy it's worked out well , this home and the seniors and staff are fantastic , thank you to them all

My mum first stayed at Diamond House for respite care and has now returned after a year away. Any concerns I had in the past were promptly dealt with, which gave me confidence in the home. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Mum enjoys being able to request walks when she wants, and there
are always activities available to keep residents engaged. Overall, her needs are well met and I feel reassured knowing she's being well cared for.

As a family, we are very happy with the excellent care provided for our Mum in Diamond House. The staff are always kind and considerate. The senior carers have regular full reviews with Mum, and we are consulted and asked if we have any concerns. The staff are always approachable, willing to listen
and help in any way they can. Whenever we have made a suggestion that we feel may benefit her, it has been acted upon without delay. Thank you to all the staff, you do a great job.
From a grateful family.

My mum was a resident of Diamond House from December 2023. She was diagnosed with dementia three years earlier and when it came to the time that we could not care for her safely ourselves we agonised over her going into a care home. We should not have worried from the very first day she was offered
outstanding care. The staff showed her respect and valued her dignity. They were inspirational in how they showered her with affection and made her feel safe and loved. We were made to feel so welcome and they understood the importance of our family relationships and how deeply we cared for our mum. She was treated with kindness and her care was exceptional it went beyond our expectations. She was cared for during her final days with the same respect care and love and they showed this to us during our most difficult time. For this we are forever grateful the staff cared for her and us so well in her final days and this gives us great comfort as we navigate this world without her.

This was a fantastic care home which my father stayed in for just over 12 months before he passed away. He arrived in a distressed state after a hip operation, limited mobility and early stage dementia. Immediately the staff took care of him, showing great patience and empathy with his situation.
They ensured he was comfortable there ate regularly and was always on top of his medication. Our family experience with the home and staff was very good. We received regular updates on how my dad was doing and if there were any issues they contacted us. They were truly amazing in his final week when he needed constant care and attention. An excellent location for people who need residential care. The staff are amazing. I would highly recommend.

Shocking from the day he was first moved in, everything was stressful to get anything done and saw some disturbing scenes, told social services about them and had meetings there with them, excuse after excuse, then my dad was attacked and left with a bad wound on his left arm. They refused me access
to take him to accident and emergency and waited 48 hours until my dad's wound was infected to ring an ambulance. Before that they told social services and myself it was just a scratch which my dad had done by scratching himself which was not the case at all, said the hospital staff and was hospitalised for nearly two weeks. There is now a safeguarding investigation going on. My dad was seriously injured, this care home is absolutely shocking and should be put under special measures.

We visit every week and are always treated by cheerful polite staff. We have nothing negative to say about my husband's care, thank you so much. He seems very comfortable and we do not get a lot of sense out of him as the dementia has now set in. I still feel guilty about putting him in a care home
but at 81 years I could not cope with him. Getting old is no great shakes I can tell you. I am so impressed with the staff at the care home and nothing seems too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend the care home to anyone.

My mum has been a resident since late April and as a family we feel she has improved all round greatly. All the staff are very caring and management/admin staff are approachable at all times. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is that sometimes laundry items have not been returned and
sometimes I have taken items home as washing has returned still stained. My mum tends to be too tired to participate in activities, but I have witnessed the team's hard work to create stimulation for residents. It is first class.
