View Full Details of Lightbowne HallDad has only been in 1 week. Had an issue the first weekend. Dad was in the same clothes for 3 days (not the best start) after raising concern it was addressed and he has since been changed daily. Dad seem to be settling in quicker than we thought. The days out are just the tonic he needs and we are kept up to date which is great and reassuring
From the first day that Mum joined Lightbowne Hall she was welcomed and listened to, by the caring and respectful staff. They went out of their way to help Mum adjust to life in a care home, encouraging her to mix with the residents and engage in the wide variety of activities on offer. The facilities provided were excellent, with well appointed rooms, clean and comfortable communal areas and even an on-site Hair Salon and Pub, which all help residents to feel at home and part of a community. Throughout Mums stay she received first class support and care from the Staff, who ensured she was comfortable and able to maximise the many engagement opportunities. Even as Mum battled her dementia to the end the Team at Lightbowne remained empathetic, caring and above all respectful; they are a credit to the Care Providing community. A heartfelt thank you to all the Staff at Lightbowne for providing peace of mind for me, and our wider family, in caring for Mum when she most needed it.
The care at Lightbowne Hall is second to none. My mother Rita has found new peace and been so well looked after here. All the staff show patience, care and dedication. I always enjoy visiting in the knowledge mum is cared for. Even on difficult days I leave knowing she is loved. The activities and cleanliness are top of the range. Thank you.
Management and staff are excellent. I can see my mum is well looked after and cared for. I cannot thank them enough for the work that they do providing a safe nurturing environment. Lightbowne Hall has got to be one of the best if not thee best care homes Anchor has. The management team are skilled in the job they do, providing support, leadership and direction to all staff members enabling them to provide a quality service to all residents.
I have always found the staff and all of the management to be kind, courteous and very helpful during the time my mother was settling into her new home. I have found the building to be very clean and mother enjoys the food however my mother has often said she feels lonely and does not feel she really has anyone to talk to as most other residents do not seem to be able to communicate on the same level as my mother.
Lovely setting, staff very caring, good service.
We as a family could not thank the home enough for everything they do and have done. The staff are amazing the home is lovely Mam has settled quicker than we could imagine. Not something we wanted to do but things got really bed for Mam with falling. We can visit whenever we want we can go to bed knowing Mam is safe and cared for. Thank you.
Overall I think everything is good - one thing I think is that the bedroom doors should be locked when empty so other residents can't go in and take things from the room. Also I don't know I anything can be done with the laundry to ensure the right clothes are returned to the right person - especially knickers! Sometimes you can smell urine in the corridors - think this is because of carpets in corridors. I have found all the staff to be hard working and attentive and the activities are very varied and good fun - keep the residents interacting with each other - keep it up! As I only visit once a week as I'm just a friend and not family I can't comment on value for money. Think having a hairdresser on site is an excellent idea. Obviously I can only review on my one visit a week but I have found everyone to be friendly and helpful when I'm there.
My wife has been resident for the last 15 months, I visit every other day and find the staff obliging, also the interior warm and welcoming. Her room is very spacious, with everything that is needed for welfare.
I'm the daughter of one of the residents here. She is still getting used to the other residents, staff and environment. We as a family are very happy she is here. The staff and management are very professional, caring and eager to help. They keep us informed of any changes, appointments and how Mum is coping. The rooms are nice, clean and modern. The food is nice and homemade. We know our mum is safe here.
Usually visit at different times of the day, aways find the home well maintained and staff are all friendly. Mother always says the staff look after her well and she seems happy and always clean and well cared for. Can't really ask for much more than I know my mother is being looked after well.
My sister has resided in Lightbowne Hall since 2023. I have been highly impressed with the care she and other residents are supported with. Staff are courteous, friendly and caring to both residents and their relatives. Time is provided for entertainment and encouragement is given to participate i.e. afternoon teas. Rooms are adequate with being pretentious. Food and drink are of a high standard. All in all, I am very satisfied that my sister was accepted as a resident.
Excellent staff, very caring. Mum has settled in so well due to staff giving a hundred per cent love.
My mum has been a resident here for about six months. We visit quite regularly, and we are happy with the care and assistance she received. The staff we deal with have all been excellent, friendly and helpful and keep us informed of any issues my mum has.
I am very happy with Lightbowne Hall and the staff are very helpful, polite and nothing is too much for them to help you. Food is spot on, cleanliness is very good and laundry is very good with clean clothes all the time. Management is very helpful. I'm so happy for Mam and so are the family. Thank you.
Every encounter with Lightbowne Hall staff leaves you feeling positive and sure that Mum is in safe hands. We are grateful for their understanding, consideration, cheerfulness and care. Without exception, from laundry to service staff, care professionals and managers, there is a sense of team culture of sensitivity and genuine care. Staff took the time to understand Mum's likes, interests and history, they tuned into her cultural and religious needs with kindness and skill. The building is modern, spacious and pleasant to be in. Facilities and services are first class and Mum commented that it was like a nice hotel. Activities are frequent, innovative and proactively encouraged by cheerful and professional staff.
Every time I visit my mum, all staff and management are extremely helpful and friendly. If I ask any member of staff to help or get me anything for my mum, they do it straight away and answer any questions I have, or they find out the answers for me.
My mother moved into Lightbowne Hall at the end of May. It was the hardest decision I have ever made. My mam has dementia and was unable to care for herself. Six weeks in my mam is a different person. The care she receives is wonderful, the staff care about the person and their happiness not just the physical care. Every time I visit my mam is smiling and happy. There are activities, my mam gets involved in most of them. They decorated her room, we bought the wallpaper. It is now truly her home. If anyone finds themselves in the same position, I would strongly recommend Lightbowne Hall.
Due to the closure of previous care home, my sister moved to Lightbowne Hall. I visit regularly at various times and have always found her clean, tidy and well-dressed. Can't praise the staff enough! I have been contacted immediately if there have been any issues and I know I can speak to them likewise. Her son lives in London and on each visit has returned home reassured his mum is getting the best possible care. Wished we moved her a year ago.
My mum receives the most amazing care and support at Lightbowne Hall. The staff treat her with the upmost dignity and like she is a member of their family. I was very apprehensive about my mum living in 24-hour care but I needn't have worried. She is in the best possible place.
