At an extremely stressful time when decisions had to be made quickly I visited Park View Care Home, initially looking for respite care for my aunt and uncle. The introduction, welcome and understanding from the staff along with the bright, relaxed atmosphere of the home had a huge impact. What
seemed like a maze for us to work through was discussed with people who cared and gave us time. They offered solutions we were so thankful for. My aunt is now a resident. She is content, very well looked after and enjoys the activities that keep her occupied. With numerous areas to go to that are always well planned (my aunt particularly likes the garden) it is a pleasure to visit. Thank you Park View.

With Mum having spent 2 periods of respite at Park View, we had no hesitation in suggesting she came to stay on a permanent basis at the beginning of the year; once it became clear her needs could no longer be met at home.
She was welcomed back by the staff - always greeting her by her first name -
and the nursing staff could not have been more attentive, treating Mum with dignity and respect at all times. Thank you to everyone who looked after Mum; it certainly gave us piece of mind as a family to know that she was being so well looked after.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Park View to anyone who may be considering staying here - respite or long term - either for themselves, or for a family member.
Thank you.

When it comes to choosing care for a loved one, there isn't a single approach that suits everyone. It's a very personal decision, shaped by visits, conversations with staff, and the experiences of others. While everyone's expectations are different, what matters most is finding a place where you
feel comfortable, supported, and confident that your loved one will be treated with kindness and respect. My mother was quite unwell when she moved into Park View two years ago, but she was warmly welcomed from the very beginning. We quickly felt reassured by the carers, and they have consistently lived up to that trust. With the right support, Mum's health has become more stable. She is always clean, well cared for, enjoys a varied menu, and receives her important medication on time. If there are any questions or concerns, Carol and her team are immediately receptive to answer them. Caring is one of the most challenging professions, but it's also such an important and necessary service.

I can't thank the team at Park View Care Home enough for the outstanding care they've given my mum over the past year. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely compassionate, always treating her with dignity and respect.
It's so reassuring to know she's in a safe and welcoming environment. The
carers go above and beyond, and she's always encouraged to take part in activities, which keeps her happy and engaged. The activity organisers truly go above and beyond, creating meaningful experiences. It's especially important for those with dementia to be stimulated, and I've been impressed that activities here are always inclusive-something I haven't seen in other homes.
The food is outstanding, with a great variety of well-prepared meals.
Communication with the family is excellent, and the home is always clean and comfortable.
I highly recommend Park View Care Home-it gives us real peace of mind.

My mother in law stayed for three weeks but was due to stay five weeks for respite while my father in law had major surgery, he is her full time carer. She became very unresponsive and so the family removed her and she went into hospital with health issues due to acute dehydration, she had suffered
a heart attack too, when released from hospital end of life care was put in place. Sue suffers dementia and is completely dependent and non verbal! Had park view communicated with the family or doctor this could have been a very different story.

Staff at Park View are all welcoming, caring, loving and friendly, going out of their way to help. Even if it's not their job, they will find someone else who can help. The home is always clean, warm, with food and drink available. I'm always reassured that staff never neglect the vital aspects of
care - regular toilet routines, hydration, hygiene, washing/dressing assistance - this is the sign of a truly caring home, and activities are offered daily to stimulate mind and body.

During my two week respite stay I felt fully supported by all the staff who consistently acted in a professional, friendly and caring manner and demostrated a great aptitude to team working. The food was very, very tasty. I also particularly appreciated the regular visits from the physiotherapist
who encouraged in me a "can do attitude" and helped me in my convalescence from a hip replacement operation.

After looking after my husband at home for over 20 years from an awful debilitating disease I vowed never to use a care home for him. However this decision was taken away from me due to his and mine deteriorating health. I also have experience working in a care home . Because of looking after him
for so long I have very, very high standards regarding my husbands care and was determined not to let his care lapse in any way on admission to Park View. He has very complex needs which I demand are met to a very high standard. Overall Park View has met these standards. There has been issues with my husband's care but with communication with the management and staff and time these have been generally resolved . My experience is any problems have to be sorted face to face and that is the key for harmony between care providers and clients. Overall Management and staff are very approachable with any issues I have.

When first admitted to care home it took a few months for the home to gain understanding of my husband's specialist needs because he lacks capacity and is unable to let staff know what he requires. He cannot hold a vessel to drink himself and needs feeding so it needs regular and experienced staff
who understand this to ensure he does not dehydrate and lose weight. He also needs good help to position in his chair and bed correctly and ensure he is kept clean. I speak to staff directly and ask for things to be corrected if not ok and most regulars know his requirements. On the nursing and general health side, records do not seem to be understood and known by all parties, ie hospital/GP/nursing and other agencies.

My 98-year-old mother has been a resident in Park View, Ipswich, for just over three years. She has received exemplary care from everyone. The house is beautifully furnished, clean and welcoming. It is very well designed and managed. All the residents enjoy the food. My mother is no exception. Mum
is really enjoying the singing sessions and other sensory activities. These are especially important to her as she is partially blind and very hard of hearing. Thank you everyone at Park View, from her children and grandchildren and their partners. Cheers!

I say to everybody at Park View thank you for looking after me with the food, the activities and the clean room and everywhere in building and garden. Also my cup of tea in morning and drink at night.

Mum was resistant to care and wanted to live in her own home. She became poorly as a result but needed care badly as she was falling and had some serious health issues. The thing is that unlike children adults can be difficult to suggest loving advice to and this can cause stress and concern. The
day came that mum eventually was admitted to Park View.
This was a turning point. She immediately began to return to her old self due to constant care and attention.
Mum began to take an interest in things, though she was always a private person. With help her appearance and personality blossomed. She really loved the food and her room which looked onto the garden. Cheerful company of the nurses and staff did so much to make her enjoy life again. Thanks to Park View and everyone who looked after mum. She was very happy there and gave she and I some peace of mind.

The first impression of Park View Care Home is one of beauty and peace. The bistro area and garden are wonderful. When you move through the building the staff are so friendly and welcoming. In the dining area the staff are cheerful and helpful and the food is delicious. The care that my mother in
law receives is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and every small detail is notes and acted upon. We couldn't wish for anything better. Thank you so much.

The management at Park View were very accommodating from the start. We were able to move Dad in quicker than expected, which proved a big help. From then our experience continued to be positive; the staff are kind and caring and have taken time to get to know our dad. The settings and facilities are
magnificent and the rooms are always clean and tidy. Ultimately it is a huge relief to know Dad is cared for and safe at Park View.

My husband was in the care of Park View for 7 months before he died and was treated with respect and kindness during that time. The care home had a friendly atmosphere and staff were always available for me and my family when we visited (which was almost every day) with cheerfulness and practical
help when needed. My husband was probably not the easiest of the residents to deal with but he received good care and I know he appreciated that he was cared for at all times. At the end someone was with him in his room and the family and myself were grateful for that. Thank you.
