The Rectory. Couldn't get better, excellent care.
My Mother who lives with us at home has spent time at The Old Rectory whilst we had been away overseas last year. The home which is local to us has always been the perfect spot if we should need any respite care for her. The first visit was a success and my mother made some lovely friends and wholly enjoyed her time there. The staff from the start were fantastic. Welcoming, friendly, patient and understanding to her needs. A year on my mother has spent time at the Old Rectory again and had a wonderful stay. Whilst enjoying seeing friends she had made the first time, my mother really enjoyed taking part in their daily activities and getting her hair and nails done. I couldn't recommend this home more for their kind and compassionate staff and beautiful countryside location.
Our dear friend was only at the Rectory for a short time for respite care before she passed away this week. She had no family to visit or grieve for her only us, and we will miss her very much. We quickly realised how caring and compassionate the staff are and we are grateful for the care and help she received.
I am very happy with all the care that I receive and the staff are very caring. If anything goes wrong it will always be put right. I always enjoy the food. There is always an alternative. The home is very warm and welcoming. The staff are very respectful and will always put themselves out especially if you are ill. They act very quickly. All in all I am very happy with everything.
I am very satisfied with the care that I am receiving. The staff are very caring, the food is nice, the home is warm and comfortable. I was lucky to have got a bed here. There are always activities going on that we can join in.
When I came in I was very anxious and very poorly, but soon put at ease. I am very fond of all the staff. The care is excellent from all and made to feel part of a big family very soon. Everywhere is spotless and food very good and very lucky to be here.
Everyone here is very kind and accommodating. I read a lot and regard this home as a nice respite. I am not demanding and do feel all my needs are being met. Considering the number of residents the food is very good. When I was admitted I would have liked a card in my room telling me what is expected of me but otherwise I am very satisfied. Everyone tries hard.
The Old Rectory Care Home in Albrighton near Wolverhampton provides a high quality comfortable home for my aged mother. She is well cared for, content and certainly well fed. The Home provides a variety of activities which my mother joins in and appears to enjoy which enables her to mix with the other residents including some excursions outside the Home. The welcome from all employed within the Home is very warm from Reception to all the carers, managers and all other staff who seem to know my name better than I am able to recall all their names. My mother has a full and carefully prepared Care Plan which seems to cover all aspects that are required for her, well developed, well thought out and used on a day to day basis to ensure her comfort and enjoyable time during her now lengthy residence at Old Rectory Care Home. I'd be more than happy to recommend any family looking for a Care Home to use the fine care offering at this Care Home.
My mother has been a resident in The Old Rectory for about 6 years. It really is the most wonderful place. My Mum has mild dementia but is treated with dignity and respect. All the carers seem to be genuinely fond of Mum. The rooms and en suite bathroom are always spotless, there are never any undesirable smells ! The food is great and my Mum who was underweight when she arrived here is now a healthy weight. She is not left in her room all day but encouraged to join in the many activities that take place. She is taken out on trips for shopping, to the garden centre and even bowling ! All in all I am more than happy with the care that my mother receives.
I have been in the home now for three months and have experienced a wonderful caring time. Nothing is any trouble for the staff who are all so kind and cheerful. I feel very fortunate to be here.
Arrived at the home in a sad state. I was greeted by instant help and kindness from all the staff. This has continued right up until today. Great care has been shown by one and all and nothing has been too much trouble whether it be night or day. I never knew that care homes could be so kind and generous in their looking after patients and, all our queries get sorted out efficiently and kindly. I intend to stay at this home for as long as possible.
I have now been a resident in The Old Rectory Care Home for three months. All the staff have made me welcome, my room is very pleasant and the food is very good with helpful understanding regarding my dietary requirements. Most days there are activities arranged in the very pleasant lounges, also outings to do some shopping or visit a garden centre. Altogether, all one could wish for in a care home.
I have been visiting my friend regularly and often had lunch with her since she was admitted towards the end of November. I attended their New Years Eve party which was excellent with a buffet and music. The home has a lovely atmosphere, the staff and management are always welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. There is always activities going on every day. My friend has settled well. She went in for respite but has now decided to stay. The home is warm and clean, bright and cheerful. I love visiting her at The Rectory.
In 2016, my younger brother suffered a massive stroke at the age of 67. He has no speech and has hardly any mobility on the right side of his body. He has been a resident at The Old Rectory for over eight years. The care he receives is of a consistently very high standard. The staff are always friendly and are always encouraging him to participate in the many activities that are available. The fact that he rarely joins in is due to his immobility and inability to communicate. They chat to him and tease him on many occasions. His room is pleasant and spotlessly clean. The food is of a very high standard. As a family, we are more than satisfied with the care he receives.
My brother has been a resident at The Old Rectory for eight years and the care has been outstanding. He is always clean, well-dressed and content in his surroundings. The food is very good and there are numerous events throughout the year for residents and family to enjoy. We cannot thank the management and staff enough for their fantastic care.
A lovely care home with a family environment feel. All staff have genuine care for residents and extended family. Residents are encouraged to attend weekly activities and trips. The church next door welcomes all residents for the church service. At prominent times of the year family and friends are invited to attend events such as the RAF Cosford airshow garden party. The Old Rectory Care Home is truly a place where we are happy and content as a family where our mother is cared for and looked after.
