View Full Details of Keate House Residential HomeMy father is very settled at Keate House. He has been a resident for over 4 years. He is well cared for and staff are kind, considerate and compassionate. Any concerns or issues I have had, (there have been very few) are taken seriously and acted on. I trust the staff, and know they have my Dad's best interests at heart. Many thanks to all the staff, who each make it feel like a family home.
Keate house has wonderful staff who care for residents like they're their own family. They are also very caring and supportive of the residents family members. They regularly put on interesting and enjoyable activities for residents. Our Grandad was very happy and comfortable during his time there. I would highly recommend Keate house to others.
Mum has been here over 8 years now. It has a great entertainment team even though she is passed joining in now. The care she receives every day is unquestionable and the whole family can trust she is safe. All the staff clearly care and love the residents and have the patience of saints answering the same questions over and over with gentleness and care.
We can't rate Keate House Care Home enough. The care and attention my Mum gets is second to none. From the minute she gets up to the minute she goes to bed she's 100% looked after so we know she's safe and well. Thank you for everything the staff do for her, she is always smiling.
The home is well-run, and we are very supported by how it is run. The staff are caring, and Hilary is in a safe, caring place, couldn't be more happy with Keate House
My father-in-law was looked after superbly. He loved his time at Keate House. The staff and management were very kind throughout his time there, especially in his final days. Our family and Dad were treated with care and dignity throughout. We were always greeted with a smile and kept up to date at all times. Dad also enjoyed the entertainment provided by the team too. His happiness was all that counted, and that is what was given.
Hilary has been at Keate House for nearly 2 years. Both myself and my sister are extremely happy with care and attention which Mum receives. We have peace of mind she is in the best place and very well looked after and she seems very happy.
Staff are very friendly and efficient and always have time for residents and families.
Since my father entered Keate House, after living independently until well into his 90's, we've all been pleased and relieved that he has settled in so well. Whenever we see or talk to dad, we always privately check on how he is doing. And he always mentions the kind and helpful staff. I think another big draw for him is the excellent food. He's always loved his food, and this was one of the things that helped him decide on Keate House. The medical help and support has also been great, with Keate House staff liaising with health professionals where necessary. All of us, including dad, are very happy with Keate House.
Since arriving at Keate House, our mum has found a new lease of life and loves it there. We can't thank the staff enough, they treat her very well indeed and she and us have no complaints. Thank you to all involved.
Mum has been living at Keate House for almost 7 years. Throughout the whole time she has been well looked after and entertained. As her dementia has deteriorated and her needs have changed, the staff have adapted to her needs. What really stands out at Keate House is the number of staff who have been there throughout the whole period of Mum's stay. This includes many carers and staff working in other functions. This creates a strong, friendly and knowledgeable atmosphere that feels like one big family. I struck lucky when I found Keate House. I would not want Mum to be anywhere else.
Always greeted in a positive manner when I visit. Staff know all the residents and can talk about the residents' families confidently. They are able to name family members. Residents are always treated with dignity and respect. Staff ensure residents eat and drink well. Constantly give drinks out and prompt them to drink. A lovely home that has looked after my mum perfectly.
My mum arrived here and was in desperate need to be cared for. From day one the staff have been amazing so kind caring for my mum. The premises is always clean, well maintained, welcoming. The activities, meals available is excellent. Mums room is well decorated, clean, tidy. Mum is now living her life, even though she has dementia I feel that through the dedication and care from the staff she is able to enjoy her life. Most importantly I know mum is safe, well cared for and that is all I can wish for.
The help and support the fantastic staff have given Mum is truly amazing. The facility are beautiful.
Our Mum has been living at Keate House for over two years and she calls it 'home'. It is home: her home, a home where the most wonderful, kind, and caring staff look after her with dignity, love, and professionalism. She is safe and happy, eats well, and has lots of fun joining in with the many amazing activities which are organised daily. We certainly could not have chosen a better place! Thank you to everyone there.
My Mum has been living at Keate House for over two years. She's 97, with dementia and a bad leg, and it's a great relief to know she is in safe hands. Keate House is family-owned and run and the sole focus of all the staff is to make the residents' lives as good as possible. The whole atmosphere is very different from the care home from the big chain that my aunt was in. There are lots of activities, of varied types, so that there's something for everybody despite their condition. I can go and visit any time, take her out around the village in the wheelchair or out in the car, and everybody is helpful and cooperative. They also understand the different ways dementia affects people, and whether a change is an expected progression or some unrelated infection that needs referring to the GP. We are so glad we found Keate House.
From the outset, everyone at Keate House has been understanding and friendly when dealing both with my mum, who suffers from dementia, and our family, who obviously want the best care possible in her time of need. Regular communication, ease of visiting, attention to detail, and quality surroundings, all made possible by the wonderful staff, mean that I couldn't recommend anywhere better for my mum at this time in her life. It's also the little things, like the number of activities and stimulation that all the residents receive and the respect that each and everyone also gets, that means the environment, whilst challenging for the multiple needs of everyone concerned, is welcoming and run like a family home rather than a care establishment.
My uncle moved to Keate House in early June 2024. Everything about the experience has been fantastic. The carers are all so friendly. He is so well looked after. The food is lovely and he often says he has enjoyed it. There is plenty of entertainment for residents. He has visited the village and the ice cream farm. The grounds are beautiful and very accessible. His room is great. Keate House just cannot do enough for the residents. My uncle has not stopped smiling since he arrived. Thank you for everything.
The care my dad has received has been exceptional. My dad didn't settle at first and I found it very difficult. The wrap-around care that we both received was truly superb and I am so grateful to them. My dad is so settled and happy and I love visiting too. Thank you.
The staff at Keate are very kind, caring, and professional. Everyone has gone out of their way to ensure that Mum's transition to the home was as smooth and seamless as possible. Nothing has been too much trouble and the standard of communication between Keate, Mum, and us as relatives has been exemplary. There is absolutely nothing to fault in our experience so far. I feel confident that Mum is being very well cared for and that the staff at Keate are going out of their way to ensure that her needs are being met.
