My Nan stopped here for her end of life care and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she was given. The staff were great to her and our family, even attending her funeral. The home made it feel like it was our home too, can't thank you enough xx

Could not recommend this nursing home enough! I visit my nan multiple times a week and the staff are always so welcoming and make myself and my children feel comfortable. My nan loves it and that reflects in the photographs that are put on social media, showing the wide variety of activities that are offered to the residents. My children love going to visit not only their great nan but all of the residents aswell as the staff.

The staff were so very nice and lovely could not do enough for my father in law. They were always available and would always spend time with him, the care was very good. We felt that he was being well looked after and weren't worried about him being there, we felt that he would be looked after well. They would encourage him to take part in activities which was nice. The staff where very good to all his family as well we got to know them well.

In December last year, my dad was rushed into hospital. My dad was transferred to an assessment bed at Golden Hill Nursing Home. As soon as I stepped into the home, I knew instantly that this was the best place for my dad, the staff were so welcoming. It really has touched my heart, the excellent care my dad has received is beyond excellent. I can't praise the staff enough, from the cleaners, laundry, kitchen, care, senior care, admin, trained nurses, and manager. I picked up on how the staff are with each other just incredible. How the staff are with the residents, they are just so caring. I want to mention all the staff because there's an incredible pulling together. You have to give this lady a massive thank you because the manager holds it all together, everyone in the home has an immense amount of respect for her. Just thanks so much for everything you all do for my dad and your welcome to myself and my family.

My experience with Goldenhill Nursing Home far exceeded expectations. The staff demonstrated exceptional care and professionalism throughout my mum's stay. My dad has been in for an assessment for a few weeks. During this time, he has had excellent care, and we have noticed a big improvement in his health, especially mentally. Due to the 24-hour care he has received, he is much better. We would like to thank the staff for how they have looked after our dad; he has enjoyed the chats with the staff and the care they have given him. Had it been closer for the family to visit, we would not have had a problem with him staying there. Thank you, Goldenhill.

My Mum was taken to Goldenhill from hospital for assessment. In the weeks she was there she was well looked after. The staff were amazing. Mum's room and all around the home were very clean, with no unpleasant odours. The food looked lovely and it was great to see all the events that were going on to entertain the residents. Can't thank them enough.

I arrived at Goldenhill in great pain after a horrendous ambulance journey from one of the two previous hospitals I had been in after a fall. I had acquired terrible bed sores at one hospital and neither hospital had managed to sort them out, nor did they identify that I had a head injury that meant I could not write, read or tell the time. Also, I was unable to walk due to a hip fracture. The fantastic staff at Goldenhill promptly set about sorting out all my problems. The treatment I received in this wonderful home was beyond belief. From the management, who moved heaven and earth to sort out any problems, the nurses who were kind, caring and knowledgeable, to the physiotherapists who were great, and all the other people who made up your team. Especially the brilliant carers who worked so hard and remained kind, caring, patient and helpful however daunting the task. It seems so inadequate to say thank you so much for everything, for sorting all my problems out and enabling me to walk. God bless.

My mum was on an assessment bed at Goldenhill. The staff were so kind even though my mum wasn't. When she demanded to use the swimming pool, thinking she was in a hotel, one particularly ingenious member of staff, took the opportunity to get my mother to wash by creating a fake sauna. The staff are unfailingly kind and that's what matters. Don't be blindsided by facilities when choosing a care home. Have a look at Goldenhill's activities on social media. They had a llama visit while Mum was there, and yes, the llamas were in the residential lounge. So you might not get fountains at Goldenhill, but you do get fun and stimulation.

Mum stayed for three weeks and was well cared for by all staff, she particularly enjoyed the meals which were lovely and the cakes. The staff were all very helpful and she enjoyed her time there.

When Dad arrived, the staff made Dad look presentable and comfortable. They were very caring. Nothing was too much trouble. They looked after us as a family. Being able to visit Dad at any time of day or night - made such a difference. We were really glad that Dad spent his last few days here and not in the hospital. Thank you.

Our mum, on coming here, was a little fearful as she had been in and out of different hospitals. But when she came to Goldenhill Nursing Home, she was so well cared for and welcomed that she soon settled in. The care of all the staff was great, my mum was encouraged so much to walk (with some assistance). She ate so much better than she had for some time as the food was excellent. We have nothing but praise and thanks for everything.

When we first found out our mum was coming to you, we were apprehensive. But we were really happy with the care you gave our mum. Your staff were kind and considerate and we loved their empathy and patience because you need that with our mum sometimes. Your staff had a really good sense of humour. From the first phone call I received to say Mum had arrived at Goldenhill and was settled into her room, I have had first-class contact and communication with every member of staff I have spoken to. As I live abroad, I rely on Whatsapp every Sunday and if the tablet isn't available, the staff kindly let me use their own so I can see my mum. When I manage to visit, I am welcomed like a member of a big family which is so lovely. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Mum was in the hospital after a fall, she was referred to Goldenhill Nursing Home for assessment. From the moment she was at Goldenhill, the staff were so kind and caring and she settled really quickly and enjoyed mixing with other residents. The staff took time to speak to residents and ensured they knew each and every resident's name so they could chat with them, check how they were and make sure everyone was safe, happy and comfortable. I really appreciate everything that they did for Mum.

Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of activities for the residents. Very caring staff looking after my mother visiting virtually all the time except meal times very clean.staff ready to help with any queries you might have.
