View Full Details of Chiltern Grange Care HomeFantastc in every way , staff so caring Spotlessly clean
My Father has been a resident at Chiltern Grange for a year now. He has Alzheimer's. All the staff there are wonderful, every time we arrive we are met by happy smiling polite members of staff, who ask how we are and are willing to help us straight away. The level of care, patience and compassion my dad receives is incredible, the food is always delicious and the place is spotlessly clean. When someone you love has this condition and you have to hand them over to strangers to be cared for it can be very distressing, but because of the care he is receiving we can all relax a bit. It really is so comforting for me, my dad's wife, his granddaughter, all the rest of my dad's family and his close friends, who visit on a regular basis. I cannot thank every member of staff at Chiltern Grange enough for being the team they are. Xxxx
My husband was a resident on the Dementia floor of Chiltern Grange recently. He was treated with care and compassion by all members of staff and all his needs met promptly. Our family were able to be involved with all aspects of his care at all times. In essence the care at Chiltern Grange is exemplary
Over the past year, whenever we have visited our friend here, he has seemed increasingly comfortable and 'at home' and as visitors we too feel very at ease and welcome in the relaxed atmosphere such that we positively look forward to our regular visits. The staff are so attentive and, most importantly, kind and patient in their care.
My brother sufferers from Alzheimer's and mercifully my sister in law found Chiltern Grange . The staff are exceptional people ! Nothing is too much trouble. The building is tastefully furnished and you truly feel like you are in a hotel rather than a care home ! The meals are outstanding and the attention to detail in the restaurant is so uplifting for the clients but their families too - flowers on the tables to name a few extra things that make it special . I can sleep at night knowing my beloved brother is being well cared for and no harm will come to him in their care . I only wish I was closer in distance to visit him more often . A million thank you's to all the staff !
My grandma has been at Chiltern Grange since March 2024 and I am so grateful for the care she receives. The staff are kind, attentive, and always go above and beyond to make residents feel safe and valued. The home is spotless, with beautifully kept courtyard gardens and spacious, homely rooms offering lovely views of the grounds and surrounding fields. There's a welcoming bistro area for family and friends to enjoy refreshments with their loved ones. The chef is fantastic and the food is always freshly cooked and varied. There are always lots of fun, creative activities for residents, with regular entertainment and themed events like summer and Christmas parties with live music and family involvement. My grandma is treated with dignity and compassion every day. The management team are exceptional - kind, caring, and care deeply about the residents. Having experienced other care homes in the past, I can confidently say Chiltern Grange outshines them all.
We are deeply grateful for the gentle, compassionate care my mum is receiving at Chiltern Grange. As she nears the end of her life, every member of staff has shown extraordinary kindness, patience, and attention to detail. They treat her with dignity and respect, always taking time to ensure she's comfortable, calm, and surrounded by warmth. From the way they speak to her, to the small comforts they remember - every gesture is filled with genuine care. The atmosphere is peaceful and reassuring, and it means the world to us to know she is in such capable, loving hands. Thank you for making this difficult time so much more bearable through your compassion and dedication.
Really pleased with the home that is provided for Mum at Chiltern Grange - she has settled in really well and we have peace of mind knowing she is being looked after really well. The home is a very nice environment to visit and there are lots of activities provided for the residents --though Mum isn't the best at joining in but at least she can if she wants to !
We needed a care home, emphasis on care, for my Dad, he was on palliative/end of life care and was welcomed, as was all his family, (and family dogs) with open arms and the care and consideration that you would hope and pray for, is exactly what is provided at Chiltern Grange, in abundance. My Dad was only with Chiltern Grange for around 17 days and yet in that short space of time, Chiltern Grange became our new normal, and a new home. To be able to spend every minute with Dad was priceless, as one member of the family left another couple arrived and so it went on. From the minute you step through the first set of doors you're made to feel like family and welcomed with open arms. The food was lovely, help yourself to drinks and snacks at the Bistro in the reception area.
My sister moved to Chiltern Grange Care Home in July 2024. The nurse care team gave an excellent review of her care over the last six months. I was given details of my sister's personal care, social interaction with other residents and health issues in a clear and easy to understand format.
My grandmother has been at Chiltern Grange Care Home for just over a year and I cannot praise the staff enough. Due to the severity of her dementia, no other facilities were able to support her needs but the exemplary staff at Chiltern have taken amazing care of her. From the variety of activities, great food, welcoming environment, clean facilities and professional staff. My entire family are happy to visit. It turns what was previously an upsetting situation of visiting a care facility, into a pleasant one. Knowing my nan is being cared for with dignity and respect allows us to focus on creating special moments with her, instead of worrying about her when we leave. Thank you everyone.
We visit my brother-in-law at least once a week. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. The food looks very appetising and well presented. My brother-in-law's room is always clean and comfortable. He seems to enjoy the outdoor activities though enjoys his own company whilst in the home. Overall I would recommend Chiltern Grange Care Home.
My mother, who has dementia, has now been at Chiltern Grange for just over two years. The staff are without exception caring, compassionate and professional. I can visit any time that suits me and am met by familiar faces each time. I'm always kept fully informed of any issues arising and have the opportunity to discuss things with the managers of the floor she's on. Initially my mother was quite agitated by having to move from her flat to the care home, but over time, with the wonderful care she receives, she has become very settled and I would not want her to be anywhere else. The care home itself has the feel of an upmarket hotel about it and is set in beautiful grounds. It has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, including individual rooms and public spaces. There's now even a bistro/coffee room on the ground floor for residents and their guests. I highly recommend Chiltern Grange and would happily give it more that the five stars allowed.
Chiltern Grange is an amazing residential care home with the look and feel of a five star hotel. I suddenly had to move a relative from a hospital ward 100 miles away to be closer to the family. From my first visit to a week later when my mother in law moved in, everything went smoothly and I was so pleased to have found the perfect place. Her room was large and beautifully furnished and she was able to bring small pieces of furniture and her numerous family photographs from her own home which helped her settle in quickly. All the staff are wonderful. They are all so friendly, kind, and compassionate from the cleaners, laundry staff and reception staff to the carers and nursing staff and it was so reassuring to see the same familiar staff every day when we visited. My mother in law was nearing the end of her life when she came to stay at Chiltern Grange but with the fantastic professional care of all the staff she had a dignified, comfortable and peaceful passing.
My mother spent three months in the care of the wonderful staff at Chiltern Grange. Everyone was extremely caring, kind and highly professional from the initial home assessment to the support for my mother and the visiting family members. We could visit at times that suited us and communication between the staff and family was perfect. Chiltern Grange has a lovely calm atmosphere with the rooms all looking fresh, clean and well presented.
Our mother moved to Chiltern Grange Care Home last year and the care for her throughout her time has been top notch. As well as diligently looking after her they have treated her with respect and accommodated me and my sister's needs for access to mum. The experience with Chiltern when compared with the previous home she stayed in has been like night and day.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My husband has been at Chiltern Grange Care Home since July and the care he has received has been exemplary. All of the staff, without exception, are so friendly and kind to residents and visitors alike. The fact that I can go in anytime I want to, makes visiting very easy. Nobody wants a loved one to have to go into care, but the staff here have totally eliminated the worries I initially had. I can highly recommend this home. A special thank you to one particular member of staff her team, who are looking after him so well.
My experience of Chiltern Grange is overwhelmingly positive. The staff are diligent and kind and the overall atmosphere is very positive. The food and catering is excellent and the staff regularly get everyone up, dressed, and outdoors. There is lots of entertainment arranged and there is always something going on.
My wife died in the dementia ward after being a resident for 3 months. I felt that she was treated with love, efficiency, and respect, All aspects of her care were excellent. We as relatives were always kept aware of any changes in her condition as soon as they appeared. We are grateful to all the staff.
My brother has been a resident for 4 months. He has settled in well and gets on well with all the staff and most of the other residents. The staff here are so friendly and the whole place has a very welcoming feeling. Always get a smile from everyone and a chat despite how busy they are. We couldn't have wished for a better home for my brother. Oh yes, and the cakes are amazing!
