After months of finding it difficult to cope at home by herself and coming out of a two week hospital stay on the Isle of Wight, we were faced with the challenge of what to do next. Our Sister had no family on the IOW so we visited six local Care homes on the mainland which were accessible to the
family in the New Forest. We gave each Care Home a rating for different aspects including ' Would we be Happy in the chosen Home ourselves'? Hartwood House came up with maximum points so our decision was easily made. The Staff were very helpful and made our Sister welcome from the very start. This is a difficult time for both our Sister and the rest of the family but it is great to know she is in the best place, being cared for and the family can visit with ease. Instead of being isolated on the Isle of Wight our Sister has come Home!

Hartwood Care Home is set in delightful grounds in the New Forest, it is a lovely , homely environment for residents, which is beautifully furnished and decorated. The staff are extremely welcoming, caring and very attentive to my mums needs.
Her room is a very comfortable, decorated to a high
standard and kept very clean and tidy.
There are plenty of activities laid on for the residents if they wish to participate and the food provided is of excellent quality.

On first approaching and entering Hartwood House, you would think you were going into a country hotel. The grounds are immaculately kept. Inside the public and private rooms are beautifully decorated and cared for. The lounges are set up so that they provide a cosy space to enjoy.
All of the
staff take time with the residents which makes it a truly caring environment.
Food and drink is of good quality. Various activities are available for residents to join in with throughout the day.

All the staff at Hartwood were excellent. They treated my wife with kindness and dignity throughout her stay. Also, they gave me confidence as this was the first time I had to place my wife in care. They made my wife's stay excellent. Thank you all.

On every visit we find all the staff extremely helpful and very friendly. My Mum is very well cared for and respected by the staff, as are we when we visit. The accommodation is clean, bright and comfortable and the food excellent. It is good to see Mum joining in the activities. The staff are
always very attentive and ready to help.

Can't recommend highly enough. Fantastic standard of care, residents are treated like family. Very clean, beautifully furnished and restaurant quality food.
Large comfortable en suite rooms and cosy communal lounges.

Hartwood House arranged a fantastic birthday party on 18th October to celebrate my mum's 100th birthday. They arranged for a singer to entertain Mum and the residents in the morning. They provided wonderful party decorations, a magnificent tea and birthday cake and a separate room to use for family
and friends. In addition to this, the home arranged for the birthday card from the King and Queen to be delivered to the home and presented to her by the Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire on behalf of the King. A fabulous and memorable day. A big thank you to all staff.

My grandmother was welcomed in with open arms and constantly sings the staff's praises about how helpful, patient and kind everybody is. The room is always tidy and clean and she has everything she needs 24/7. The home provides plenty of activities for the residents to do to keep their minds and
bodies active, but there's no pressure to force anyone to do something they don't want to do or are unable to do. All of her needs are catered to, including doctors appointments, hair cuts, podiatrist appointments etc. The staff really are wonderful and it gives me so much peace of mind knowing my grandmother is well looked after in her final years. Couldn't be happier.

Whilst visiting a friend of my grandmother's, I found Hartwood House very welcoming and friendly. All the staff were very attentive to the residents and visitors, the rooms are very spacious and airy and exceptionally clean.

Excellent care home. My Mum seems very content. It's clean, tidy and homely. Nice big room with ensuite facilities. Home cooked food. Friendly and caring staff who make sure my Mum has everything she needs.

What a wonderful community this is, my grandmother is happy, healthy and engaged. It's been amazing to see her improve after assisted living in her twilight years (carers in her home). Hartwood House feel makes me realise how well a community for the elderly can be managed, supporting residents
whilst maintaining dignity for them, and the families.

Since visiting, we have noticed a great improvement in our loved one. She appears happier and healthier than she has over the last couple of years. She talks about enjoying the food and that she looks forward to the daily activities.
It has made spending time with her much more special as we don't
have to worry that she's being left home alone or what she will eat.

Our friend spent a couple of weeks at the home on respite. She was well looked after, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and the care for residents that we trusted was outstanding.

My mother-in-law was resistant to staying at a nursing home for respite care, but settled into Hartwood from day one. The team was incredible: as my mother-in-law's health suddenly declined, the support and professionalism simply accelerated, not only for her but for her family.

I cannot speak highly enough about Hartwood House. All the worries about my mother have been lifted as the care and compassion of every single member of staff is amazing. It really is Mum's 'home' now, and this is possible because of the staff. They all seem to enjoy working there so much, and this
attitude comes from the management and filters down.
