Excellent care home. My Mum seems very content. It's clean, tidy and homely. Nice big room with ensuite facilities. Home cooked food. Friendly and caring staff who make sure my Mum has everything she needs.

What a wonderful community this is, my grandmother is happy, healthy and engaged. It's been amazing to see her improve after assisted living in her twilight years (carers in her home). Hartwood House feel makes me realise how well a community for the elderly can be managed, supporting residents whilst maintaining dignity for them, and the families. Thank you very much to all staff and external stakeholders for the service.

Since visiting, we have noticed a great improvement in our loved one. She appears happier and healthier than she has over the last couple of years. She talks about enjoying the food and that she looks forward to the daily activities. It has made spending time with her much more special as we don't have to worry that she's being left home alone or what she will eat.

Excellent welcome, very good communication with the matron about my friend's condition. Clean, bright and very convivial to well being. Staff very attentive and helpful. Lovely environment and everybody happy and cheerful. Very welcoming to visitors, and parking very good.

Our friend spent a couple of weeks at the home on respite. She was well looked after, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and the care for residents that we trusted was outstanding.

My mother-in-law was resistant to staying at a nursing home for respite care, but settled into Hartwood from day one. The team was incredible: as my mother-in-law's health suddenly declined, the support and professionalism simply accelerated, not only for her but for her family.

I cannot speak highly enough about Hartwood House. All the worries about my mother have been lifted as the care and compassion of every single member of staff is amazing. It really is Mum's 'home' now, and this is possible because of the staff. They all seem to enjoy working there so much, and this attitude comes from the management and filters down.

House and Rooms are very clean and modern. Staff are very caring. Chef provides excellent food. Gardens are well maintained. Activities are provided, including occasional transport for days out. The best home I have seen.

My mother came to Hartwood House for what was to be a 2-week period of 'respite care' for my sisters & myself, who had been looking after her around the clock. This soon changed to palliative care. I cannot praise everyone at Hartwood House enough from the management team, to the wonderful nurses, amazing carers and the rest of the staff. Their kindness, understanding & compassion have always been present as well as their generosity with their time and allowing us to sleep in another room. They truly are all angels, and I will be forever grateful that they gave us such a haven of peace, calm & loving support as we said farewell to our mother.

My mother arrived at Hartwood at the end of April. She was welcomed warmly and instantly made to feel comfortable. Any request was attended to promptly, with a loving smile and kindness. The quality & variety of menus was extremely high & my mother enjoyed her meals tremendously. The medical care and attention was exemplary, professional and as her daughter we were reassured that our mother was in the safest most loving hands. We shall be eternally grateful to all at Hartwood House.

The experience could not have been better. Every single employee at Hartwood House is the kindest, friendliest and best person possible. They are not only excellent and highly qualified technically, but are also so gentle, warm and caring - not just to the residents but to everyone they encounter.

Hartwood is an extraordinary home; care, attention to detail at every level, exceptional housekeeping, tender-hearted but strong caretakers, professionally produced delicious food, and seamless management make this so much more than we could have ever imagined. Our Mother was quick to form a deep rapport with each and every one of the wonderful people who came in contact with her. All the residents seem incredibly at home and cared for. I cannot recommend Hartwood highly enough.

Our dad was looked after at Hartwood House for approximately 3 months. He moved there from his home town so that my sister and I could visit more frequently. From the moment he arrived, he was made to feel very welcome and valued. We as visitors along with other family members were also welcomed with open arms. Dad was invited by staff to join in all activities which seemed to happen every day. The food was excellent with so much choice. The staff could not have been more caring, kind and entertaining. Hartwood is an amazing care home and we would recommend to anyone. Thank you.

As a result of a serious fall at home, my mum decided it was time to go into a Care Home. She had heard excellent reports of Hartwood House in Lyndhurst, where she lives, and wanted to go there. I contacted the Home and found all the staff I dealt with were extremely friendly, helpful and understanding. They organized an assessment with my Mum over video call and within a couple of hours, I received confirmation of costs required and that a lovely room was ready to receive Mum on the day required. Unlike the majority of Care Homes, Hartwood House is like a 5star Country Hotel with comfortable lounge areas, refreshment facilities and beautiful decor. The rooms are large and airy with every facility required and large en-suite bathrooms, all designed with safety in mind. The menus for each meal look amazing and my Mum is really enjoying the variety and is eating very well. Everywhere is spotless in terms of cleanliness and fresh in appearance. Staff are lovely and Mum is happy and content.

I visit my Uncle on a regular basis and always find the staff happy and helpful. He is very settled at the home and received all the help that he needs. His room is always clean and tidy just like the rest of the home.

When my family first enquired, the home admissions advisor was extremely welcoming and informative. My uncle stayed at the home on respite and thoroughly enjoyed himself. She went out of her way to communicate that my uncle had settled in quickly and was being looked after well. Thank you to the home admissions advisor and the rest of the staff.
