My dad had 2 weeks respite care after my mum was admitted to hospital. This was his 2nd placement in Lancaster Grange. Once again I found the care given to my dad was very good. Many of the staff recognised my dad and their attitude towards him was professional, warm and friendly. During my visits I found all levels of staff to be approachable and informative. I would have no hesitation in requesting more regular respite placements for my dad in Lancaster Grange with a view to full time care in the future if and when needed. Thank you all.
Our mum was only in Lancaster Grange for a short time for end of life care. The team here are absolutely amazing. The care and compassion given not only to our mum, but to all our family when visiting was incredible. We are so pleased she came to stay here. We were with mum right until the end, nothing was too much trouble. The home is very well maintained with beautiful gardens. I would not hesitate to recommend Lancaster Grange to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one.
Since her arrival at Lancaster Grange my aunt has gained in strength, seems to be eating well and has a good relationship with the staff. I am satisfied that she is receiving good care.
As before, my wife has been a resident of Lancaster Grange Care Home. After treatment has been consistently of the highest standard. The staff all seem to be caring and act in a consistant way, recording every face to face encounter with my wife and recording their experience on digital handsets. The room is always tidy and the beds and linens clean. I am kept really informed of my wife's condition, by face to face encounter on telephone by both senior dementia staff and doctors. The whole experience from entering the home to leaving leaves me totally satisfied that my wife is in the best possible place.
I am constantly amazing + delighted with the care patience and dedication the staff give give to my mother. She is well looked after + quite obviously loved. I could ask for no more.
I had extremely good help and care today today, 15th March, above and beyond, from 2 staff members in particular dealing with me in what was a unusual situation for me, they were kind and professional in what could have been stressful for me. I have thanked them personally but wished to pass on my experience.
My aunt was in Lancaster Grange for only 4 weeks before she sadly passed away. I cannot praise all the staff enough for their care of my aunt. They were all very helpful & couldn't do enough for her to keep her comfortable during her short stay. We were kept informed all the time as to what was happening. I would not hesitate to recommend Lancaster Grange to anyone
Moving Mum to residential care was a huge decision. Lancaster Grange stood out immediately in terms of attitude, ease of planning and listening to our needs. Mum, in spite of her devastation admitting she could no longer cope on her own and leaving her beloved home, has settled in beautifully. After 10 months, she feels Lancaster Grange is her home. The staff feel like family. There is a wonderful sense of community. As her family, I feel as much a part of Lancaster Grange as the residents and staff alike. Obviously, I'd like Mum to be living independently but Lancaster Grange comes a very close second.
I would like to make a special mention to certain members of staff, they have gone way above expectations, being particularly helpful and reassuring. All the staff are very good and helpful. Thank you.
Very friendly caring home. Nothing is too much bother. Residents have entertainment every day.
On Monday I had the pleasure of taking my favourite mother-in-law in her wheelchair for a visit to Fernwood park opposite the home. It was organised by the senior activities coordinator, assisted by members of staff (some who had come in to help on their day off!) and volunteers. What a great idea. It made twelve residents very happy, especially as it included an ice cream! Thank you and well done.
Absolutely brilliant from admin to care, to manager.
I am more than satisfied with all the staff do for me.
My mum feels very safe and secure here. All the staff go over and beyond to make sure all the residents are happy and feel loved.
Barchester Lancaster Grange Care Home is a good care home. It is light, airy and cheerful. The staff are great, very hardworking and caring and the food is good too!
Having now been a resident for three years and five months, I have to say the high standards have always been in evidence. What more can I say? I couldn't wish for more.
My mother has been a resident of Lancaster Grange in the Memory Lane community since January 2023. She continues to receive excellent care and enjoys the activities as much as her dementia permits. Staff are constantly patient, kind, and caring and Mum is settled and happy in the home.
I found Lancaster Grange Care Home excellent in all I could have wished for, care, food, cleanliness and kind and efficient staff. The manager is helpful to staff and patients. The activities are outstanding and amusing. Hairdressing is very accommodating. Housekeeping and maintenance, are perfect.
From the initial visit to Lancaster Grange Care Home, everyone was very helpful and supportive. My mother needed respite care after a spell in the hospital and the care and support she received have enabled her full recovery, she is now able to return to her own home. She is now confident she can manage with support from self. The staff have been wonderful and the range of activities available enable residents to mix together and have some fun. Would highly recommend Lancaster Grange Care Home.
