Since Dad has been in the Avon Unit, his improvement has been outstanding! He is happy, healthy, put on weight, his mobility has improved - we couldn't be happier. All the staff have been fantastic, kind and caring. They all have taken the time to get to know Dad, it is lovely to see.
My aunt is very happy at the home, the staff are very nice and helpful. She really enjoys the activities organised by the home, and her mood has been elevated by being around the other residents. As a relative the staff have been very helpful and have been keeping us up to date with her progress and her well being.
Waterside is a quiet and friendly residential home. Activities are varied and residents have regular home meetings.
I am happy with everything.
My mother was desperately unhappy here. She is a wheelchair user and was effectively imprisoned on the second floor with no working lift throughout her two week stay. The bedding she was given smelt of urine and I had to complain to get it changed. My mother is a vegetarian and her dietary needs were not properly catered for - she was often given just potatoes and vegetables for her meal.
The place was bright, clean and warm. The staff cheerful and helpful, respecting the occupants they were looking after.
I am pleased with the way my mother looks. Her well-being and mental health have improved significantly. Staff are approachable and are happy to solve any queries I and my family may have. Staff update my family, when we come to visit, if my mum's welfare and call my family if they need anything. Mum is not very complimentary in nature but always asks me to thank the staff for their hard work.
I could not wish for better care for my much loved brother. The staff are kind, considerate and treat him with a great deal of respect. I would recommend this home to anyone.
I am very pleased with this home for my mother-in-law. The staff and management are very helpful, happy and nice.
Absolutely delighted with the care of my mum. Staff are all lovely. Very happy with all the activities and seeing my mum happy.
I am very happy with the care being given to my uncle. Compared to his previous care home, he appears well-kempt, cheerful and happy in himself. He states that he likes it here, he's able to move about freely and the staff are very nice and fit. He enjoys his food and sleeps well. He is happy that his partner visits and spends time almost daily. He has gained weight compared to when he was first admitted. His family abroad are seeing him via Whatsapp and recent photos taken and are very happy to see the positive change in his appearance and well-being.
Mum has been here for a couple of months and settled in well. She loves dancing and has been to the seaside. The staff are always very friendly, no matter what time we pop in. Mum likes the food and has made friends here. She has spent a lot of time in the garden and has taken up activities she had given up some years ago (crocheting/knitting/dancing).
Visit my mum every weekend. My mum is always happy and the staff are always pleased to see us and make us a pot of tea to share while we chat to her.
I praise and thank the staff and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Their job is tough but at the same time, they are nice people. If my mom was living with me, it would literally kill me. It's been so much work and intense enough prior to Mom being a resident of Waterside. So to all of you, I say kudos.
Good caring, professional staff.
Excellent team staff. Very caring. Best residential home.
My experience here was amazing the staff were very friendly and helpful in getting me out of my bed. They went above and beyond for all of their residents.
Overall, first impressions are good - friendly staff, helpful and hard working.
I visited my mother-in-law and both the deputy manager and the member of care staff were very welcoming. The deputy manager and member of staff were both able to be very informative about my mother-in-law's situation. I could see that she was well-cared for and that she was being treated with dignity and respect.
