Grasmere Rest Home has been wonderful in meeting my dad's needs. The staff are attentive, compassionate, and consistently proactive with his medical care. They take the time to understand him and ensure he is well cared for every day. As a family, we feel reassured knowing he is safe, supported, and
treated with dignity.

As a family we were apprehensive about having to make the decision to have mum stay in a care home.
We chose Grasmere as mum had previously stayed there for respite and we were pleased with the level of care provided.
Mum becomes extremely anxious especially as the evening/bedtime approaches, her
confusion increases and she becomes very frightened. The staff are aware of this and help reassure her and calm her down. This is so important to us, to know she is cared for and safe.
I love the fact there is so much engagement with the residents at Grasmere - from singing, to quizzes to exercises. Christmas was lovely, there were singers from the local church and a great Christmas party for all to enjoy. The pyjama day was fun too but I am unsure who enjoyed it the most - the staff or the residents :)

Grasmere certainly goes above and beyond with the care for my Mum. Every member of the Team takes the time to care and make sure my Mum is comfortable, feels safe and is happy. They were all very caring and helpful with the transition process when Mum moved in and helped her and my family every
step of the way.

This is a excellent care home. The room my dad is in is always clean. He seems to be always dressed when I visit. Previously at the last care home he was mostly in his night clothes. The staff is extremely friendly even when they have their hands full. I know my dad is in safe hands and think he is
lucky to be there.

Our Mum moved into Grasmere Care Home at the end of July. This was not a decision we took lightly and we were very nervous that we were doing the right thing.
Mum settled in like a dream. Right from the start she was warmly welcomed by everyone in the home. Mum has really embraced all the
activities and is happy to join in and really enjoys them. She has made lots of new friends and we can see how genuinely happy she is to be there.
Mum is so well looked after. All the staff are very friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. We are always welcomed when we visit. Since Mum went into Grasmere I have felt nothing but relief that Mum is well cared for. Grasmere is such a happy place.

After making the agonising decision of finding a care home for my mum, I am absolutely delighted we found Grasmere. My mum is thriving, having the responsibility taken away of trying to manage her life, she is now free to live it in an environment that is both stimulating and caring. It feels like
she has gained another family with the level of genuine care given to her. This feels just like a family home.

After alot of ups and downs with different care facilities we have finally found the one place my nan feels comfortable. Very responsive to care needs and staff are lovely. My nan seems to have a special bond with certain members of staff. Facilities are great and communication is good. Medication
reviews with the nurse could be better and needs better communication otherwise a very warm, welcome place.

An amazing 'family feel' from the team that run and care for all the residents. My mother is very well looked after, not just her needs, but as a member of the Grasmere family, as a person and with love. Even though my mothers dementia has sadly progressed, she is still very much included, and they
take time to talk and look after her and involve in activities.

We feel very fortunate to have found Grasmere. They are an exceptional team. There is a very open, warm, welcoming and homely atmosphere at the home.
All the staff are, without fail, considerate, caring and kind to my mother and us. Mum receives a very high standard of care. She enjoys the food,
which is varied and nicely presented. The activities and days out are well thought out and huge efforts are made to adapt activities to each residents abilities and to ensure everyone enjoys them.

We three ladies were given the huge responsibly of being LPAs for an able, fiercely independent mutual friend who had no family. We visited various homes and were delighted when we found Grasmere which seemed like a large family and aimed to cater for the individual. We have not been disappointed.
The manager has headed up a kindly, caring and compassionate staff team who have fed, worked with, stimulated, befriended and cared for all the clients needs since her arrival two and a half years ago. Always we have been impressed with the efficiency care and detail which the staff show to ensure the welfare of residents, whether it be medical, comfort, food, stimulation, activities or celebrations for anything and everything. She had a difficult start here, but kindly consistency won her over and she felt at home and became part of the Grasmere family.
We are so grateful for all that was done for her.

My stepmother was a resident in Grasmere for 8 years. She passed away in November 2024 at the age of 106.
The love and care she received at Grasmere was excellent. The whole atmosphere felt warm and welcoming on our visits. The lounge and rooms were always warm, clean and tidy and the choice of
food was good. We greatly appreciated the activities provided for the residents. We were always kept informed of any health issues that occurred and her needs were met.
The staff were always kind and helpful. I am so grateful that my stepmother spent her final years at Grasmere.

Our Mother has been at Grasmere for two years. The staff are very caring and always offer help, should the need arise. There are plenty of activities available to residents, that make life at Grasmere a friendlier place. The cleanliness of the living areas is always good and the quality of the food
on offer is to be commended. The open invitation for families to participate with residents at events or even meals is reassuring. There is a friendly feel to the environment felt when visiting residents. There is an online facility, that offers family members to look up various aspects of the residents in care. We are happy to have found Grasmere as a care home and hope that the home continues to offer the standards it has given during our Mother's stay.

My mum has been in the care home since September. She arrived from hospital where she was struggling due to the lack of staff and she became a bed blocker and lost interest in everything and the ability to walk.
The care and attention to detail at Grasmere has been exceptional where my mum has
thrived and she is now very content there.

Our experience has been excellent, both my brother and I feel absolutely at ease knowing our mother is being looked after so well by the team at Grasmere. All the staff are compassionate professionals.

Our family has had the best standard of care for our mum, I honestly don't think it could get any better and our mum seems so happy there. Whenever we go there she is always dressed nicely. She's always clean, her bedroom is always clean and tidy etc. The staff are nice and we always have a chat!

Our friend has been in Grasmere for over 2 years now. The staff have been able to address all the issues which have arisen very much to our satisfaction and for the welfare of our friend.
We are keen for our friend to remain at Grasmere as long as possible.
Regarding the rates below - we have
observed each item and would still say they are excellent. However, we still say costs are very high but are aware of the costs of maintaining a care home particularly where staff salaries are concerned.

On placing my mum in Grasmere after researching residential care in the area we came across Grasmere and was recommended by some friends as it had a good reputation and it didn't disappoint. My mum was rather challenging when she first went to Grassmere but the staff were so patient with mum and she
is now settling in nicely. Me and my family are so grateful and it really has put our minds at rest as we can see the change in Mum for the better.

All the staff at Grasmere are excellent and experienced. They try their best to meet my friend's needs despite her very tricky demands. My friend has lived there for several years now and I feel that they know her very well.
