View Full Details of Highcroft Care HomeMy father in law has been resident at Highcroft for almost three months. Prior to moving in her had started to become quite confused and had neglected to care for himself. The transformation has been remarkable and we are relieved that he is safe and being cared for. Staff are friendly, conscientious and helpful. I note that his bedding is changed on a very regular basis, he is eating well and staff ensure he is hydrated and active. He is clean shaven, has regular haircuts and visits from medical professionals. Highcroft was chosen partly because it is close to where we live which means we can visit regularly. Residents are encouraged to visit the library and local community centre. There are lots of wonderful Christmas activities planned including a pantomime visit that we will encourage dad to take part is. Our relief at seeing him so well looked after is considerable. We're grateful to the wonderful team for all they do.
The staff are always pleasant, informative professional and emphatic. The manager is well informed and always has the time to speak with and deal with queries and issues in a timely and efficient way. I think she is doing an excellent job of ensuring service user engagement. The owners are also friendly and approachable and interact with families and service users when special events are put on. My Aunt is always clean and well maintained, and her needs are being fully met from what I can see.
Highcroft care home. My mother was admitted to this home in July. We have found the staff to be extremely helpful, empathetic and knowledgeable. My mum has advanced dementia and needs constant care, with this she is treated respect, dignity and has settled in very well. I would highly recommend this home, if you have to be in the unfortunate position to but a family member in a facility such as this.
My aunt has been a resident at Highcroft for almost six years now and we are extremely happy with the care given there. Although my aunt's dementia is quite advanced, Tosin and the team give her the care and support she needs, encouraging her to try and do small things herself as opposed to doing everything for her therefore demonstrating the patience needed to look after people with additional care needs. Throughout the year, special events are held where family and friends can come together and be part of The Highcroft Family. The support is also extended to us (family) in our times of need. The home is clean and the garden is well maintained. It's very difficult when loved ones have to go into care however, Tosin and the staff offer the reassurance needed.
My dad has been at Highcroft for a month now and the care he's received has been transformational. The staff have been so welcoming and caring, and have not only looked after him brilliantly but also supported me so kindly, offering empathy and practical support in this difficult time while we're coming to terms with dad's dementia. Tosin and the whole team at Highcroft are lovely - they make every effort to get to know each resident's needs, preferences, likes and dislikes and bring everyone into the fold, making them their favourite snacks, getting them involved in activities and social interaction. It's been so good for my dad - he'd not been looking after himself and it's so wonderful to see him with nice trimmed hair and clean shaven, looking as dapper as he used to! THANK YOU HIGHCROFT!
The staff, management and all workers are professional and responsibly. They has a patient and correct way for communities and dealing with the situation. I'm very thankful and I appreciate them effort and work
Excellent communication and fantastic staff who can't do enough for you. My father is loving the care home and activities. We have been made welcome and the communication with medical professionals is seamless. My father has taken to all the staff and wishes to stay as he is very comfortable
Lovely friendly staff, who are very caring and helpful. Dad's very happy and so are we, knowing he's safe and well cared for. Can't ask for better! Lots of activities and social interaction with patients and staff. Great garden too.
Excellent care for my sister while informed of what's going on. If my sister needs anything they will let you know. Staff very friendly, very approachable, easy to talk to. My sister feels she's okay there and we can visit any time. There's no restriction. They're very open with their care.
I'm really grateful and appreciate how much consideration and care Highcroft Care Home has given to my mum. The staff have supported my mum with different activities and short trips, which my mum enjoys and gives her time to go out. The staff have always made my mum feel comfortable. She has great rapport with them. It's lovely to see my mum have a good laugh. Her health and mobility has improved. When my family and I call and/or visit, they always inform us about how she is and any important information on her general health. I am so proud of my mum and I can't thank Highcroft Care home enough.
My mother became a resident in Highcroft earlier this year and my brother and I are extremely pleased with the care she has received since being there. All of the staff including the manager and owners are professional, approachable and caring. The residents are treated with dignity and respect. There are regular outings, including visits to the library and also daily activities that take place in the home that we are able to view on social media with my mother taking part. It is also satisfying to see that her mobility has improved considerably since she moved there as she has more space to move around in. We recently attended the summer barbecue held in the garden at the home and a great time was had by all residents, family and staff.
My mother has received such wonderful care during her stay at Highcroft. All her medical and hygiene needs are provided at a high standard by the caring and friendly staff. Highcroft also arrange different programs to help entertain the residents, my mother has enjoyed meeting pets and interactive games and visiting the local library.
We are very pleased with everything that the home offers, the cleanliness, the staff, the professionalism and the overall care my mum receives is outstanding, she has settled very very well and she’s happy and contented in this home. I cannot speak highly enough of everything that she receives here
I am very pleased with the care that is given to my relative, she seems a lot happier in herself and has put weight on. The staff are very friendly and she gets on with them all. She is able to communicate with the other residents and enjoys the constant company.
We, as a family, are very pleased with the care home, staff are exceptionally very good, and I can’t praise them enough for always making us very welcome, and Mum is very happy here. When Mum moved in, she was very scared of what to expect, but the staff and management made her very at ease and happy.
Mum has been a resident here since July 2023. She appears to have settled really well and have observed her mixing with other residents. Her eating and sleep patterns also seem to have improved. Staff at the home are welcoming and friendly and seem to be supporting Mother appropriately. I would definitely recommend the unit to others.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the Highcroft staff who looked after my mother before she passed away. The staff are very caring and made my mother's time at Highcroft special.
As a regular serving member of the Royal Air Force, I came to know a resident at Highcroft Care Home, whom I have visited on occasion. My initial visit was one of total surprise, having visited other care homes before. The manager was most welcoming, as I presented Norman with a bespoke cake and commemorative plaque for his birthday from the RAF. The manager made my visit very pleasing, to see the resident, an Ex WW2 Pilot, so happy and still very chirpy was satisfying. He was very complimentary of the staff and the care provided to him, he was most fond of the Manager and commented upon how well she has taken care of him. He alluded to his years of flying missions over Africa, keen spirited, he had his wits about him as he wanted to know what was going on in the 21st century RAF. To my delight, I was offered a cup of tea, by the manager who delightfully kept him in a comfortable atmosphere, where we lamented about our own experiences of the RAF. To the manager, well done to you.
I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Highcroft Care Home. I cannot thank you enough for all the outstanding care and understanding you gave to my father over the past two and a half years of his life. He was so happy living at Highcroft and it was always comforting for me to know how well he was being looked after. Thanks to the compassionate care and attention provided by all the staff, my father lived a longer and happier life. Everyone's commitment to his well being right up until the very end of his life will always be so appreciated. I was so grateful for the support and compassion that was shown both to my father and myself at that very difficult time. Thank you again to a really outstanding team for all your kindness and hard work.
My uncle spent two and a half of the best years of his later life at Highcroft. He was loved and respected by the staff community. They did so many thoughtful things above and beyond for him, for which we are eternally grateful. The home is emotionally warm and so, so inclusive. When my uncle passed away and since all the staff have been wonderful. The leadership is outstanding, the care and nursing staff lovely and the physical environment wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better place. Thank you.
