View Full Details of Nightingale HouseBoth my parents were initially in Nightingale House as Dad had several strokes and was no longer safe to live at home anymore. Mum insisted on entering Nightingale with Dad. Nightingale were extremely good with both of them. Now Mum is on her own in Nightingale. She is safe and well looked after. The staff are all very pleasant and work very hard. There is lots of opportunities in relation to entertainment from chair yoga, games in the home, trips out, they are going to Southend soon, but also take them around the park for a bit in good weather, they have a wide variety of musical entertainment and visits from pets, normally dogs. The staff are very responsive to relatives if you need to speak to them about anything. They have formal meetings, information sent out via email and have a good social media website for relatives to tap into if they are not able to go to Nightingale so that they can see what their loved ones are up to. I'm very happy with Nightingale House Romford.
There was always excellent monitoring of residents. The staff always knew where my sister was in the home when I arrived to visit her. I was always welcomed by the staff and asked to sign the visitor's book on my arrival.
My mother has been a resident for over two years and is completely happy here. As visitors we are always made to feel so welcome and the staff are very approachable and friendly. They provide plenty of activities as well as a well maintained shady garden with outdoor seating. I am always kept well informed of all the activities and trips that are planned and really welcome the updates in the social page.
Great care home, all staff supportive of residents with care & consideration. Plenty of activities throughout the day. Family / friends can visit whenever they like & the home also offer 'quiet lounge' should you want to sit & chat in a private room with your relative.
My mother has been in care home for three years and she has been well looked after by nursing staff. Staff are very polite and doing excellent job and always ask us if want drink tea, coffee and water. I am so happy with care facilities provided.
We came across Nightingale House as a respite for my dad, he was there for 2 weeks he mentioned that he was well looked after and that he would go back there again. The staff where very friendly right from the start and even after getting Dad back home.
Our mum was a resident in Nightingale house for 1 year January 2024 - 1st January 2025. Nightingale is a friendly well run care home. It is clean and welcoming. Family and friends can visit any time of the day and don't have to make appointment to visit. Although our mum never wanted to join in there were activities going on everyday, bingo, art and crafts, singalongs etc. Nice bright communal lounge and separate dining room. A varied menu with a choice of dishes.. Staff- All staff were professional , kind, caring, hardworking and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They treated our mum with compassion, love and respect until her dying day. I just want to say thank you very much to all the amazing staff for looking after our mum. and I would definitely recommend this home.
Our mum received outstanding care from all the staff at Nightingale House, we can't thank them enough. She was always well-presented and very content. Even if she was feeling a little under the weather she was encouraged to join the other residents in the welcoming communal lounge. The home was always spotless, with a great homely feel to it. Management are very approachable and proactive, and all feedback is listened to and acted upon. I would thoroughly recommend this home for your loved ones, we are so glad our mum spent her last few years here.
If anyone is looking for care for their loved one then Nightingales is the place. My brother is so happy and is absolutely thriving. The staff are always happy to help and greet you with smiles. He's been there for 6 months now and all my worries are behind me as I know he's being cared for with love and affection. My recommendation is 100! I actually think this home saved my sanity.
Dad was moved here earlier this year, his move was unplanned and unexpected due to an accident. So we didn't get to visit beforehand or prepare ourselves or Dad for his move. But we have been pleasantly surprised and impressed with the way that the staff have made huge efforts to help Dad to adjust and to make him feel at home and to settle him into his new life.
Lovely home, my mum is very happy here. The staff are amazing and very caring, food is good mum is diabetic and well taken care of. Mum has her hair done regularly which we love. Thank you to the manager and all the staff they do a marvellous job.
Can't praise the staff enough. Lovely homely feel with lovely gardens. All staff listen to requests and understand individual needs. Dad is assisted with all care when needed but also makes correct judgements with my dad when he feels he can manage. All staff seemed happy to be there and always greeted with smiles a good vibes. Keep up the good, hard work.
The team are always responsive to our requests in a very positive way. They hold events constantly, which keep the residents happy, interested and promotes their health in this way. They’re forward thinking, by taking residents whenever possible on one to one basis days out. Their page on social media has almost daily updates within the home, exhibiting pictures of the residents enjoying singing, drawing, painting, puzzles etc. I have never known a care home with such a caring outlook from top to bottom.
My father has been a resident for 8 months now, in that time he has been cared for in a professional manner with empathy and kindness. Staff are well trained and have taken time to get to know him and his individual needs. Although his behaviour, can at times, be challenging they still treat him with courtesy and compassion. Staff keep me updated on his care and contact me if there have been any changes or issues with his care. The home is kept clean at all times and a number of areas have been improved whilst he has been a resident. Overall, I am confident that he is safe and has been looked after in a professional manner.
Great level of service for my mother. It is a weight off of our minds to find a team who are so dedicated to her wellbeing and safety. Lots of activities and Mum integrated immediately into her new home. Keep up the fantastic work.
My mother-in-law has been a resident since January 2020. She has been very settled at the home and if we take her out, she wants to come back indoors! The staff are wonderful and a lot of thought is put into entertaining the residents. We are very happy with our choice of home for her.
The Nightingale staff are amazing. The home is always clean and welcoming any time you visit - they say to treat it like you would visit at any time, so you don't have to make appointments like some places. They do so many fun activities - every day there is something going on. A lovely home.
Whilst there are some very caring staff, there is a need to remember there are many forms of Dementia, they need treating individually not always as one. Again, I feel Dementia homes should have more staff on to get that individuality, a little better.
