View Full Details of The Oaks Residential Care HomeEvery visit my wife and I make, the staff are very welcoming to us, and are friendly. All residents who are mobile are always in the lounge or in the reception room. There appears to be enough staff to cope with the resident mobility problems. My father in law has taken time to settle in. All the staff like him which is good.
A warm welcome is always received from the carers and management when visiting the home. Dad is usually in the main lounge and a carer will accompany him to a more private area for us to have a chat, along with a cup of tea and biscuits. The carers and management provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere whilst continually being attentive to the residents' requirements. They have a good understanding of my dad's needs and I am happy that he is being well looked after.
When I have visited my aunt the staff have made me feel very welcome and my aunt says they are all nice.
My friend's mum is in The Oaks, I have visited the home myself and have taken my friend's mum out on a few occasions, each time the staff are friendly and approachable. The home is very clean and tidy and you can see they have put a lot of thought into making the home comfortable and welcoming. Since my friend's mum has gone into The Oaks, my friend has totally relaxed knowing her mum is in a safe and loving environment where quality care is delivered. The Oaks is a truly lovely home
The Oaks atmosphere is warm, welcoming & genuinely feels like a home. Staff are incredible, they all go above & beyond, they're professional, kind, friendly, empathetic, patient & truly caring, which is everything we had ever hoped for. When seeing mum, I've seen how staff have the ability to adapt to each residents needs & have seen they go out of their way to ensure residents are happy & comfortable. Mums room is spacious & bright with a large window overlooking the main road. The home is always clean & smells lovely. The varied & stimulating activities have helped mum socialise & make friends. Since moving to The Oaks, mum has regained her appetite & looks healthier, even enjoying second helpings at meals. Knowing my mum is in such an amazing home gives us huge peace of mind & I would recommend The Oaks to anyone. I cannot thank The Oaks enough for everything they're doing for my mum. They've made this incredibly difficult Dementia pathway so much easier for me & our family.
Dad has been at The Oaks for 6 months, and in that time the team have done a fantastic job helping him settle and meeting his needs. Communication with us has been excellent. The environment is warm and welcoming, and the staff are very caring.
The most passionate and caring staff. After a very stressful period, the Oak's welcomed us and our family member and have been there for us ever since. The daily dedication to their residents families and guests makes tis care home a relaxed, warm and inviting place to be. We cannot thank them enough.
Cannot be happier with the care that my mum received at The Oaks for respite. I would 100% recommend this care home to anyone as they cannot do enough for you and ensure the best care for residents.
My 91-year-old mum has dementia and moved into the Oaks Care Home in May 2024. Since she has been there she seems more alert and constantly tells us that everyone there is so nice to her and the food is delicious. When we visit she is always clean and wearing fresh clothes. Mum interacts with the other residents and enjoys the entertainment provided, especially the singing and she even gets up to dance. Putting Mum into a care home was the most difficult decision our family has ever made but seeing her now we have no doubt that we made the right decision. I couldn't recommend this place any higher if you are looking for a care home for your loved one, just drop in and see for yourself how everyone is treated so well, I think the cheerful faces of the residents and the staff say it all. Special thanks to every member of staff for making Mum smile again.
My cousin has settled in and seems content. The staff are very friendly and caring. The building is well-maintained. We are happy with the care she is receiving.
Mum is cared for very well at The Oaks. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. There is often entertainment for the residents and a lovely garden for them to enjoy in the summer.
I think it is very good, staff are very good and very helpful.
My brother has been in The Oaks care home for nearly six weeks. On arrival he was not looking after himself, his weight had dropped because he was not eating. The staff have been so kind to him and he is now looking so much better. He celebrated his 70th birthday and danced and sang all day with staff and residents.
Amazing staff. Very welcoming and compassionate in a difficult time.
No complaints. The staff very caring and my cousin is well looked after. Very pleased with the home.
I find the staff very helpful and understanding of my aunt's needs.
Arrived from Australia to see my mum who has been a resident at The Oaks Residential Care Home since August 2023. Mum, who has dementia, was extremely happy to see me and kept saying how impressed she was with the staff and care provided. Mum looked so well compared to when I left her in September to go back home to Australia. The staff are all amazing. They are so approachable, friendly and really care for the residents. Every time I see Mum she is smiling, laughing and doesn't stop dancing when music is played which is quite often. Living in Australia used to be such a worry when Mum lived on her own. I no longer worry about her as I know 100% she is looked after more than I could ever imagine. The management staff keep in touch with me in Australia and let me know how Mum is each week, for that I am truly grateful. Very happy family.
Wonderful care home with genuine, caring staff. The home is clean, bright and vibrant with a great atmosphere. The staff seem to go above and beyond with the level of care. I would highly recommend this care home, they are just brilliant.
Nice, comfortable, small, homely, lovely place with good, responsive management. All staff are always ready to help and very professional.
