View Full Details of Roseacres Residential Care HomeMy husband has been in this care home (Roseacres N20 9DZ) for over a year (14 months) and our experience has been very good so far. The atmosphere is very pleasant and reassuring, this is the feeling I got when I first visited the care home while searching for a suitable care home for my husband who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia in 2021. What ticked the boxes, I had then, when selecting this care home is confirmed daily, as I visit my husband every day. The staff are friendly, polite, professional, caring, understanding and do everything to keep the residents comfortable and happy. The manager and her assistant are approachable and caring (like the carers) about residents and visitors. The food is very good, an excellent chef who makes sure her cooked food is well consumed by residents. The place is kept clean. My husband is treated well with dignity and understanding. Moreover, he has been showing signs of improvement with verbal and non verbal communication, which is great, after having lost the language. When I asked a professor about this improvement, her answer was "This means he is being well looked after", indeed very true by family, friends and carers who treat him with respect and compassion. I cannot thank them enough for their hard work.
My mother was a resident here for 4 - 5 years and was very well looked after. We visited regularly, once a week and spent time in her room (lovely room) and in the garden and went for a walk. But I especially wanted to say the end of life care was exceptional. We were informed every set of the way. Mum was very peaceful and comfortable at the end and this made the process so much easier for us. Thank you to management and staff you were all wonderful.
I was always very pleased my mum was in this home. Management were always available to answer any queries I had. All the staff I spoke to were friendly and chatty. I have nothing but praise for all the staff I had interactions with.
My Aunt was at Roseacres for almost 5 years. She was well cared for. The staff were always cheerful, respectful, and approachable. I always enjoyed visiting my Aunt as the staff and managers were always helpful, pleasant, and kind. They played wonderful karaoke songs on the big screen so the residents could sing and dance. Always a happy atmosphere. The staff always answered the residents, had plenty of food, and helped them if they could not feed themselves.
My Mum has been here two years and she has been well looked after. I will recommend Roseacres.
Until her death on the 6th of August 2024, my Mother had been a resident at Roseacres Residential Care Home for over seven years. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 83 and came to Roseacres at the age of 86. The fact that she lived until the age of 94 I believe is testament enough that she was always given very good care. The staff have been wonderful, particularly at the end of her life.

Having been through the tough past 18 months with Covid I have had complete peace of mind that my mother was in a safe place and was being looked after extremely well. The care home has gone out of their way to help maintain contact through lockdown with phone calls and video calls facilitated. Mum continues to look well and is happy.

Staff are kind and caring. Premises are clean, and residents are well treated. I particularly appreciate the fact that letters I wrote to my aunt during Covid-19 were sometimes replied to by a staff member. Pleasant environment, lots of activities. Well done.
