View Full Details of Applegarth Care HomeFrom the very first visit to view the home, I felt everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and the team was very professional. Mum was very happy the month she was in respite, and would be happy for her to stay at Applegarth full time when she needs to.
Attended a barbecue, which was excellent. During this and previous visits, I have been impressed with the level of care provided by every member of staff.
Brother is being cared for. We went for a BBQ. Very impressed by how much effort had been put into the afternoon. Could not wish for any more. The care we saw given to residents was superb.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to the entire team at Applegarth Care Home for the exceptional standard of care and compassion consistently shown to my nan and all the residents. From the moment she arrived, the staff made every effort to ensure she felt safe, valued, and truly at home. The warmth, professionalism, and dedication of the team are evident in every interaction. It is clear that the staff go above and beyond not only to meet the individual needs of the residents, but also to promote their well-being, dignity, and independence. The environment at Applegarth is always welcoming, clean, and calm, and there is a real sense of community and kindness among both staff and service users.
Whenever we visit we are greeted with warm smiles from all the staff even the chef! They genuinely care for for the residents. Our friend is so happy to be there.
My friend is very happy with his care and considers himself very lucky to be a resident.
All staff at the home take interest in residents care. They have made sure that my mum doesn't get lazy and she uses her arms to reach her walker. Everyone is always polite & friendly. Residents have activities and are encouraged to join in.
I am happy here it fulfils all my needs.
I am happy with the carers. They make you feel happy and provide a lot of activities.
I have been a resident in Applegarth Care Home for 1.5 years having had no previous experience of residential care. Once I settled into the system I realised I was very fortunate to be here. The staff are kind and thoughtful. The meals etc are excellent, the room is comfortable and I have no reason to complain.
Always caring. Always go out of their way to help.
A home from home. Care, concern and liveliness in equal measure. Other family members and friends comment on the overall care and kindness they notice.
I came to visit an ex-neighbour and friend. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They kindly brought tea and home made cake. All the residents seemed well cared for and content. I was impressed by the atmosphere. Our friend's room was well furnished but rather lacking in anything personal from his flat. Staff responded very rapidly when my friend accidentally pressed the call button. Overall very impressed with warm welcome.
Attended the music quiz. Great fun and lovely that so many residents took part. The entertainment staff does great job keeping them all entertained.
Amazing care and diligence from all staff regarding personal preferences, medication, and food preferences. Lovely to see all staff so enthusiastic at all times of the day and so hands on with all requests. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Brilliant staff, very caring, great teamwork. Friendly atmosphere.
The care my mum gets is really good.
Since moving to Applegarth, my aunt has been much happier.
It was like one big homely family, a place I would choose if I have enough money, as I visit every fortnight with 3 other friends. But I don't know much it would cost to be a resident, bearing in mind I'm 88 with arthritis in both knees and ankles.
My sister has now been cared for at Applegarth for more than a year. Although I am unable to visit on a regular basis I am convinced, both by her responses to my questions and the support shown by staff, not only during my visits but by their keeping in touch at other crucial times, that she is recieving the best possible care. Thank you is inadequate but they are the only words to express my gratitud.
