View Full Details of Wild AcresAfter being with my partner for 28 years, we thought it would be nice to tell my mum we have got married. So we made plans to have a civil partnership in Wokingham. We knew we could only have ourselves and two witnesses in the room at the registry office, but we wanted to involve mum on our special day, so we asked Wild Acres if we could use the conservatory at the care home to have a small gathering with my mum. Wild Acres put on a brilliant afternoon for us. Amazing buffet cake, bubbles, present and card, decorations, and the manager walked mum in to greet us arm in arm. Pictures were taken, confetti thrown. It was a magical afternoon with mum by my side. Thank you so much to Wild Acres Manager and staff.
I am very happy with the care my parents have received at Wild Acres over the last 6 months. The staff are friendly, caring and understanding. Andrina, the Care Home Manager, has provided very helpful advice when needed. Andrina also helped with the transition of moving my parents from their home (where they were not coping well) into the care home. Dad enjoyed being at Wild Acres, and he was able to let go of his responsibilities and worries. It is a relief to know that mum, who has advanced Alzheimer's, has got company and activities to keep her occupied in the care home. Thank you to everyone at Wild Acres for the impeccable care you have shown my parents.
The home is beautifully kept, staff are attentive , caring and consistent (ie. no agency). Mum feels safe, fed good meals and very comfortable.
Vising my brothers mother in law we were greeted by nice friendly staff. My brothers mother in law seems very happy and has a lovely bright room. The home put on a lovely party as my brother and his girlfriend had got married. Lovely room decorated and with balloons, cake, food drinks, tea and coffee etc, and a wedding present from my brothers elderly mother-in law. Made to feel welcome and enjoyed the experience of a well run care home. Thank you.
Our son got married on the 1st of August. We were very concerned how mum was going to be able to attend. Wild Acres very kindly offered to put everything in place so she could celebrate her grandson's special day. They arranged for mum to have her hair done in the morning and paid special attention to getting her ready from applying her make up to getting her dressed. She arrived by taxi with someone to look after her every need all day. She left later that afternoon happy and tired. Costs were covered by Wild Acres of that we are truly grateful for everything they did for us and for mum. Absolutely amazing.
My mum has been living at Wild Acres for the past eighteen months. She is being looked after and cared for very well. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. The home is always clean and tidy. From what I have seen of the meals - they always look appetising. I am always kept informed of any changes in my mum's condition. Thank you to all the staff at Wild Acres.
I have found the staff to be considerate and patient in their care of my sister. I could not imagine her being in better hands than Wild Acres. Thank you.
Unfortunately, I have had many experiences visiting relatives in care homes, but I can honestly say that Wild Acres stands out as the best care home I have come across by a country mile. Long may it continue.
Wild Acres has a very welcoming and homely atmosphere. The management and staff provide a high level of care that is provided in a friendly manner.
I have the greatest respect for your staff who do the long shift, and always seem cheerful and polite and work very hard. Your premises have a nice atmosphere about them and are welcoming. I like the way you treat your residents as individuals and listen to their needs, it can't be an easy task. All your members of staff seem to "work" together to provide a safe and welcoming home for old folk in their latter years, my wife and I are confident that her mother is in a safe and caring place, thank you all so much
Caring and supportive. Above and beyond.
Staff seem very caring and attentive. They are very friendly and make my aunt feel comfortable. I would recommend Wild Acres to anyone.
The standard of care here is at a level that all of our family who visit regularly would describe as excellent. The additions of particular focuses on extra curricular activities provide valuable social interactions as well as added benefits of movement and concentrations which mum clearly much enjoys. The interest shown by all the staff members is a credit to the supportive leadership, in so much as we feel that the care is a prerequisite of the roles, and the staff perform their duties with a genuine interest in the well being of the residences a whole.
The review was extremely thorough with all aspects discussed in detail, patiently explained, and all queries answered. Special mention of an offer from home to assist with transport and carer support for mum to attend a family wedding.
My experience with regards to my husbands stay at Wild Acres for about nine months now is full of positivity. I am very happy and satisfied with the professional and caring way my husband has been looked after. My full praise for the staff and management.
My mother of 102 years is settled well in this happy and friendly home. She is well cared for by all the staff and enjoying good food and daily activities. Her room is clean and her clothes washed every day. All her needs are met by the kind staff and she is happy here.
Since becoming a full time resident at Wild Acres my dad has received outstanding care. Its a small size which meant that all the staff know my dad and his needs very well. It is a great comfort to me to know that my dad is safe but also encouraged to take part in activities to the best of his ability. He is always treated with kindness and respect and I couldn't ask for anymore.
Whenever I visited my brother-in-law, I found all the staff very kind and friendly. As the residents are cared for in a gentle and supportive manner. A very pleasant environment indeed.
I moved my mum into Wildacres in early March from another local care home after I had first-hand experience of their care and compassion for my terminally ill husband in January. I am so happy with the way she has settled in and is being looked after. All the staff are amazing, and nothing is too much trouble
Excellent all round. Five stars from me. People have no fear of putting their loved ones here. Superb!
