Hearing bad press about care services left me nervous to relinquish some of Nan's care, but Bartlett's has proved all of my worries wrong. From the moment we brought her in, the staff have been warm, welcoming, caring, attentive and kind. The home is clean, the food delicious, and the residents are
provided wtih a staggering array of entertainment. I am reassured that my Nan is in excellent hands.

Mum moved here a few months ago and is really happy. The staff are wonderful positive friendly people, always ensuring mum is getting the best possible care, and having fun at the many activities.
The location is superb, easy to get to and still peaceful with lots of outdoor space.
The activities
are numerous and in some cases unexpected, after all who expects a visit from live penguins in a care home.
Mums room is warm spacious and cosy, with some of her own furniture to make it home.

My mother has been at Bartletts since June 2023, and the level of care is excellent. The staff are brilliant. She enjoys her time and her needs are well taken care of, with visits to the theatre and local garden centres most weeks. Anything she needs is always accommodated. I cannot thank the staff
enough for everything they do.

This place is excellent and caters for al our manifold needs! The staff are all very good and always meet our needs! The accomodation is excellent and meets all my needs! My family are always wellcome and keep in touch which helps me keep in touch with all that is going on at "home"

My husband David and I came to Bartlett's about 5 months ago. It took a short while to 'settle down' and aclymatise to our new surroundings. But we have been so lucky! We have a spacious twin beded room with everything we need and an en suite bathroom. Also, because we are all on the ground floor,
we have a patio door on to a beautiful garden which we love to walk in. And the people who look after us are wonderful and we are so grateful

Dad moved to Bartlett's 4 months ago and was made to feel welcome from the first day, he settled in quickly and regularly tells me how happy he is. ALL the staff ( whatever their role) are friendly, kind and caring. We were encouraged to bring furniture, pictures, and favourite possessions to make
his room homely.
There is a wide range of daily activities on offer including a variety of regular outings. Dad enjoys the social aspect of eating meals in the dining area " the meals are very good & tasty".
The rural aspect of Bartlett's was important to Dad and he likes spending time outside. The few queries I have had have always been answered promptly either in person or by email. As a relative I have been made to feel very welcome, and can visit Dad at any time or take him out. Knowing that Dad is happy, safe and well looked after has been a huge relief.

The care of my husband over the last 19 months has ben beyond excellent.
I never had concerns for any aspect of his care & cannot recommend Bartlett's highly enough at every level.

Mum has been a resident at Bartletts for nearly 4 years now; in that time her Alzheimer's has slowly continued to eroded her memory, mobility and cognitive function but despite this she continues to be very happy there. The staff are very caring and encourage Mum to join in the many activities they
have each day. Eating has become a little challenging for her and so meals are adapted so that she can more easily pick food up with her fingers. When Mum first moved into Bartletts she loved to walk around outside in the beautiful grounds; a feature that is particularly outstanding at Bartletts. She is now wheelchair-bound and we are not sure how much she can see but she is appreciative of the kind, compassionate and loving care she receives every day. As a family, it gives us such peace of mind to know that Mum is being so well cared for; a cherished resident. I really wish that Mum wasn't having to go through this deterioration but she is in the best possible place for 24/7 quality care

My mother-in-law is very happy here. She has settled in well and has made many friends. She has enjoyed all of the activities and trips out, especially bowling, which she has never done in her life. The staff are all very caring and friendly, and it's nice to know she has nothing to worry about and
is taken very good care of. The food is always very good and the amenities are excellent.

Bartletts is a highly esteemed facility, maintained to the highest standards. Its serene environment is truly magnificent. The staff at every level are committed to delivering exceptional care and service. My mother has been a resident for nearly two years, and her physical and mental wellbeing has
notably improved due to their excellent care. The food provided is of outstanding restaurant quality which she very much enjoys. The activity coordinators excel in offering a diverse range of activities tailored to residents' abilities and organize remarkable excursions. It brings considerable peace of mind knowing that mum is in a safe, secure environment and is receiving attentive and compassionate care. The team at Bartletts is exceptionally accommodating and creates a warm and familial atmosphere. Bartletts is distinguished by its exceptional staff and dedicated service.

It never ceases to amaze me how welcoming and positive the atmosphere is at Bartletts. The staff are always friendly, accommodating and supportive. There is always something going on to keep residents entertained and it's a delight to see my mother engaged with the activities.
She enjoys excellent
care and attention and is clearly very happy. We couldn't ask for more.

level of care. The activities scheduled every day are phenomenal, offering stimulation and personalised attention that is beautiful to witness. Our mother has been at Bartletts for the past 8 months, and as a family who visits daily, we've had the privilege of seeing the team in action. We are also deeply appreciative of the care team's communication-prompt, thoughtful, and always with our mother's best interests at heart. The home itself is spotless and beautifully decorated, with stunningly maintained gardens that reflect the same high standards of care evident throughout. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the unique and caring culture that defines Bartletts.

As a resident at Bartlett's for almost 3 years, mum has always received excellent care, even when her behaviour was difficult due to her advanced Alzheimer's. Everyone, no matter what their role, showed fantastic compassion and I couldn't have asked for better care for mum. They have also been
extremely supportive of my brother and I during what has been a difficult time for us all.

Lovely place but our mothers's stay didn't come without issue and the rising costs from £1.6k per week to £2k per week within 2 years was extortionate. It's bright, clean, boasts of it's 18 acres (most of which are not available to residents) and is beautiful. The staff are very loving and
attentive, and the best part. Some management and night staff less so. Lots of things to do for residents but weekends the place is not as stimulating. Communications were poor. Emails would not be responded to by senior carers, so we wouldn't know if it had been addressed and the Manager rarely replies to emails. Care plans were chased, personal hygiene was not taken care of well at times. Food was ok but fed too much sugar and cakes. She fell in their care and died 6 weeks later. We never heard from them after her death offering condolence/card/flowers until I complained. The AM she died I was pulled aside into a room and asked to give a review and if I could leave an excellent review to keep their numbers up -shocking! The manager hates criticism.

Excellent care home. Very caring staff who always smile and go out of their way to help.
My dad was extremely well looked after and we always felt very loved when we visited him. It is like one big family here.

Bartlett's Residential Care Home is a wonderful, very well-appointed home of character set in glorious, well-maintained grounds with views to the Chiltern Hills.
My father used to visit a friend when she became a resident and he praised it endlessly, so when the time came for the move from his own
home, Bartlett's was the obvious place as it was "home from home".
Father has now been a resident for four years and continues to praise everyone and everything - empathy would seem to be second nature to all staff at Bartlett's, they have endless time for their residents and are very aware of and responsive to their ever-changing needs.
I benefit from the same empathy afforded to my father and am made to feel very much a part of the "Bartlett's family". I am always welcomed and included in any activity and kept informed of any issues with Father and also what he has taken part in and how he has enjoyed it.

My mother has been a resident for almost two years. Within a few weeks, she was loving her new home. Without exception, all the staff are kind and extremely efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum loves the food, the trips out and the wonderful special events, which family and friends enjoy with
her. She has made friends with other residents. We all have nothing but praise for Bartlett's Residential Care Home, a wonderful place in a beautiful setting.

From the moment my mum arrived at Bartlett's she felt thoroughly at home and often said so. Over the last four and half years it is fair to say that being cared for at Bartlett's transformed her life in every respect. Who would have thought that she would go ice skating or have a penguin on her lap!
Apart from the beautiful surroundings inside and out Bartlett's really does provide a level of professional care which is second to none whether it is daily personal care, on-call medical care, activities to cater for all interests and abilities, trips to interesting venues and restaurant-quality catering.
What makes Bartlett's exceptional is the quality of care which all the staff provide and which we as a family experienced throughout Mum's stay there, especially when it came to end-of-life care. They are a truly kind and caring team who treat everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.
We could not have asked for more.

We as a family are extremely happy with the love and care our mum receives from the Bartlett's team. They always give 100% to whatever care they are giving. Food is amazing. Grounds are wonderful to go for a walk or to sit and relax. Every member of staff from carers, cleaners, gardeners to
management all have the resident's best interests at heart. Also my mother absolutely loves it at Bartlett's.
