View Full Details of The Lindens Residential Care HomeWe have been very satisfied with the care my mum has received from the Lindens. She has been here permanently since December 2023 and previous to that had numerous respite stays. She has complex needs and they know her well and how to care for her. They are proactive in arranging things to make her more comfortable, be it a waterbed or physio treatment. I live a long way away and can rest easy that she is well cared for. Her hair is always clean and brushed, nails cut and skin moisturised when I visit unannounced They treat her so kindly and she seems happy. I couldn't ask for more. Well done Lindens, especially 3 staff members in particular.
Very pleased with everything provided for Dad. Dad is very happy.
All of the staff show a deep concern in ensuring that all of the residents are treated fairly and any issue I have raised has been dealt with speedily and a satisfactory end result.
The Lindens is a very special place, my mother, now 99, has been lucky enough to have been a resident for almost 8 years. During that time, we have truly admired the level of commitment, care and professionalism. The whole staff have shown on a daily basis. The atmosphere is purposeful, lively, cheerful and above all, caring. Mum's increasing medical needs have always been monitored and dealt with compassionately. We cannot recommend this residential home highly enough.
Our mum has been living at The Lindens for just over a year. She has a complex medical history and the staff and management are extremely helpful and supportive of her. Their support has taken a lot of the worry away from us, knowing that they are checking on her. Their care was recently very helpful in preventing mum returning to hospital, nursing her back to normal within their care. The activities that the home runs to provide entertainment are great. I particularly enjoyed the carol singing and mum is always telling me about the cookies and sausage rolls they have helped make. Our contact with the home has always been great. They have always acted on any issues with mum quickly and the relationship they have with the local medical teams means they can action interventions much quicker than we, as family, had been able to when we were caring for mum ourselves.
Mum was at the Lindens for about three years, they are very caring, helpful, understanding, supportive I could go on, they looked after her till her peaceful end and we would like to say a big thank you, it's one of the best homes I've seen
My mum has been a resident at The Lindens for almost 10 years now. She has dementia. Moving into a care home is stressful for an older person and Mum went through a period of adjustment, but it was amazing how much her health improved once she was being cared for properly. She has always been happy at The Lindens and it is a great comfort to me to know she is so well cared for. I've been extremely impressed by the staff and management of The Lindens. Staff turnover seems to me to be extremely low, which says a lot about the quality of management and means that the care is personal and consistent.
Dad has been a resident at The Lindens for 12 months and we could not have chosen better. Staff - the owners, managers, receptionists, carers, chefs, cleaners, gardeners, maintenance team, and everyone else - they all show immense passion and pride in their work, and have been very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Accommodation - the main house, restaurant, lounge, coffee room, bedrooms, grounds, and flower beds are of high quality and are kept in extremely good order. Restaurant - only wish I could dine there every day! Carers - we all understand this is a very demanding role and we have been very impressed with the high level of care, empathy, and understanding that all the carers have shown both to my Dad and other residents that we have seen on many visits. Activities - the team has endless amounts of energy in finding positive activities for the residents to undertake both at The Lindens and externally on day trips. Well done to the manager and her team; keep up the great work.
Our 88-year-old Dad moved into the Lindens in November 2024 after living at home with a 24/7 carer following a serious illness. The Lindens has been nothing short of a revelation for him! Run by the ever-approachable the manager and her amazing team, they are caring and friendly to a level that genuinely makes Dad feel like he's at home. Prior to the Lindens, Dad had stopped reading and watching TV - indeed, he had almost stopped engaging with people. Now he has made friends and joins in the daily activities that the team arrange, including trips out. The Lindens are also exceptional at managing Dad's ongoing health needs, with weekly GP visits addressing any issues before we even know of them. The speed and consistency of response from the Lindens team makes them very easy to deal with. Add all of that to the lovely building and grounds and you can see why one of Dad's visitors is hoping to make her own arrangements to enter the Lindens. You can't give a better recommendation than that!
My dad has been a resident for almost 10 years, and the care he receives is nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you walk in, the warm and friendly atmosphere is palpable. The staff are not only incredibly friendly but also genuinely happy, creating a welcoming environment that feels like home. The home is clean, with everything maintained to the highest standards. It always smells fresh and inviting, contributing to the overall comfort of the residents. Each meal is cooked fresh daily, ensuring that residents enjoy delicious and nutritious options. There's also a fantastic range of activities available. Whether it's arts and crafts, games, or social events, there's always something happening. The management is approachable with an open-door policy, making it easy to reach out with any concerns or suggestions. Overall, I cannot recommend this care home highly enough! If you're looking for a caring and supportive environment, this is definitely the place to be!
My Mum moved to this lovely home in February 2024 as a result of general frailty. At 88 she had decided that living alone and managing her house had lost its appeal. By way of introduction she was invited for lunch and to look around. She instantly liked the atmosphere, the gardens and the food. She was warmly welcomed by the staff, who could not be kinder or more attentive. Residents are treated with respect. Her room is pleasant, spacious and comfortable and she has added her own touches. Family from the biggest to the smallest are always made welcome. Communication from staff is excellent and they are quick to spot and report concerns. They seem a happy and cohesive team. I have great faith in them. The manager is accessible and the home is well-run. Mum is happy and well-cared for and loneliness is a thing of the past.
I have found all the staff at The Lindens strive to make the residents at ease and they show dignity and respect to all. Always helpful and compassionate. It can be personally very difficult to see loved one(s) in care homes, the staff put my mind at ease. I feel fortunate my loved one(s) are/is there. I wish all care homes were as good.
Very pleased with Mum's care and her general state of health.
Absolutely wonderful place, every staff member is so attentive and determined to make every hour of every day a good one for all the residents! Our mother is happy and smiling most of the time, if she's unhappy, distressed or unwell it is picked up on very quickly, the situation is sorted out immediately and the appropriate care is given! Therefore over her time at The Lindens, (4.5 years) there has been a marked improvement in Mummy's overall health and well-being. From management and administration staff, to nurses, carers, activities team, kitchen and housekeeping staff every single person is helpful, friendly and always finding time for a chat, simply amazing! Thank you all so very much. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone and everyone!
I would stay there!
My father moved into The Lindens when it became obvious my mother was unable to cope at home. I cannot fault the staff for their kindness and care towards my father in the later stages of his life. Communication was outstanding, my mother was always in the know as to how my father was medically. As a family we cannot fault The Lindens. My father received 1st class care at all times.
After viewing several care homes in the area I immediately walked into The Lindens and thought this was the one. Lovely building overlooking fields and the canal. The open airy entrance hall and impressive dining room give off an air of comfort yet homeliness. My husband's room and en suite are spacious, comfortable and sunny. The care he receives is kind, caring and cheerful. The management and staff are empathetic and meet my husband's many needs with dignity and professionalism. They are also supportive of me. My husband's many medical problems are dealt with immediately and efficiently. I feel lucky that we found The Lindens.
My mother first came to the Lindens because of a combination of Parkinson’s and the onset of dementia. Later her poor sight turned to almost total blindness. Throughout all these travails, staff were always attentive, caring and good-spirited. They enjoyed her company and found her very funny, nicknaming her ‘Lady Di’. I’m told, and believe, they came to love her. The Lindens were always well-run and coped well throughout the Covid years. It avoided the horror one read about other care homes. If staff caught Covid, they were sent home with pay. The care provided was superb throughout, being effective and friendly; indeed, when my mother was in the hospital with an infection and the hospital felt it needed to put her on end-of-life care, they agreed to take her back to look after her at the end of her life. In this period, they were especially attentive, careful and caring. The Lindens looks like a clean, well-run country club and is welcoming. The restaurant always looked tempting!
I am so pleased every time we go up to see my mum that she is so happy and contented and pleased with her care. She is always saying how kind they are to her and that they can't do enough. She is always saying how lovely the food is and eats well. She loves being downstairs in the big lounge and taking part in all the activities they do there. It is a comfort to me knowing she is looked after so well and every time we go up they are so kind to us as well. When my mum had Covid, they rang me every day to let me know how she was. Lovely.
Very well-maintained home. Very clean. Staff are very happy, caring people. The manager has changed in recent times, so a lot of things have improved. Especially the communication with family.
