View Full Details of Evelyn May HouseI have visited my uncle on a number of occasions, he has always been clean and well-shaven his room and bathroom have always been clean and tidy. The staff always put a smile on his face and he enjoys their sense of humour. My extended family and I have always been happy with his stay at Evelyn May House.
My mum went into Evelyn May care home in laindon. Mum was assessed and accepted on her needs . Mum one hundred pound more than we were originally quoted. The week mum's money ran out the manager said mum can't stay because they can't deal with mums needs . Even though mums needs hadn't changed . Our dad has cancer and is in and out of treatment , however the manager didn't care the stress this caused my dad.My dad lives in laindon and was close for him to visit his wife of 63 years . When mum went into the home we was reassured mum could stay. Mum has black and blue bruises all over her face and arms we did raise concerns and reported the bruises, however no explanation to how they came about . I only hope you read this before you decide to leave a loved one there please don't ! . The manager in my opinion could not run a tap let alone a care home, The manager most certainly told us a pack of lies, and can't be trusted to tell the truth. Mum's necklace was also stolen whilst there.
Unfortunately, my mum was only at Evelyn May House for a few days before she sadly passed away. I cannot thank the staff enough for the kind and thoughtful care they showed towards Mum and us as a family. It meant so much to all of us that she spent the last days of her life in such a warm and compassionate environment. The staff helped us through the difficult process of loss with support and guidance and treated Mum with the dignity and respect she deserved. It was sad she didn't have more time there as I think she would have been happy, as were we. Thank you.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all staff at Evelyn May House including the manager. My father resided there for the last 3 years or so recently he passed away in his room on floor level 2. The kindness and care given to my dad was excellent. The manager and staff in the office gave him attention when needed made sure he was comfortable at all times. They gave the family support at the difficult time. I worked in social care some years ago.For me this care home is on the of best!
I can't thank the staff and management at Evelyn May enough for looking after my Dad for the past 3 and half years. From the moment he went into Evelyn May he received the best care, he was always clean and tidy, happy and he loved the food. Unfortunately Dad passed away a couple of weeks ago at the care home and everyone there was so lovely, helpful, kind and compassionate all the staff and management couldn't do enough for Dad and our family at that difficult time. Thank you so much.
My dad moved into your home from hospital and was sadly only here for 2 weeks before going into hospital where he died. Due to holiday commitments, I only visited your home on the first evening but the staff were very friendly accommodating helpful and professional. My brother found it exactly the same on subsequent visits. Upon arrival my first impression other than clean and orderly, with a warm and kind atmosphere, with happy residents and visible staff presence as I passed through the corridors. The manager and her team were equally helpful and empathetic when we returned to collect my dad's belongs which they had packed beautifully with an inventory. Thank you for your genuine care and support for my dad and us too. I witnessed a great interaction between staff and residents and family.
Great comfort for our family to know that he is being looked after so well.
My mum came here in March 2024. Every time I have been, the experience has been excellent. I cannot fault anything. The food is clean, and the staff are very good.
My dad's stay with you was sadly short lived, as he passed after two weeks. From my visits to Evelyn May House I witnessed genuine care towards residents. There was a good level of staffing present, and effort made to build rapport often in difficult circumstances. The staff and managers always had time to talk to me, provide updates, and always up to date so communication was good. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Flexibility in service and care was evident.
Lovely friendly staff, kind, caring and welcoming. A warm welcoming home for residents. All the staff are very helpful when approached. Five stars all round.
I am delighted that my elderly mother is in Evelyn May House. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they make an effort to engage with all the residents. The home is always clean and bright and feels a safe haven for the residents.
Very pleased with every aspect of Evelyn May House. All the staff are kind and helpful. Security is very good. They couldn't do more to make you happy. Please keep doing what you do.
The staff and managment are excellent they take care of my nan. The home has just been refurbished and is looking amazing. She loves the days they take her out and the activities they put on at the home. She gets her hair done by the hairdresser on site once a week too. She loves the staff so much and they treat her like family which is more than we could ask for.
I moved mum into this care home this week and the care, empathy and kindness we have both received has been unrivalled. There had been a waiting list and the management team kept me informed and reassured. I have every confidence in the staff and carers here and know that my mum is in the best hands.
The improvements to the home are fantastic. The second-floor lounge has made such a difference. The staff are fantastic. Two ladies going above and beyond the care of the patients. Nothing is too much trouble for reception staff. My Mum is happy and cared for well.
Excellent service from everyone from top to bottom. Mum is getting excellent service - no complaints with anyone.
I was sent from the hospital to this care home and was allowed to stay there for a couple of weeks. These two weeks turned out to be one of the finest breaks I have had. The staff (all) and the facilities were second to none. Well done and lots of love to all concerned.
Cannot express my gratitude to the staff and management for the care and support given to my wife on her return from hospital. I honestly thought I had lost her in hospital but she has made a remarkable recovery. Not there yet but well on the way.
The staff are wonderful and very hardworking. It has been a pleasure to stay here. I was bedbound for a long time and always treated with dignity during changing and bed baths. Very professional people.
We found the home very clean and well-maintained. Friendly, competent staff and a high level of care. The food looked to be of good quality and although the person in care was unable to join in activities there was a lot to offer.
