I had to find a space for my mother on a short-term basis following discharge from hospital. It was Christmas and very little was available. The manager at Evelyn was absolutely fantastic and called to say she could help. At a very busy time, nothing was too much trouble. I cannot speak highly
enough about the manager at this care home who put me at ease, addressed all our issues and personally made sure mum was happy.
My mum settled in well. All the carers were excellent, professional and kind.

Myself and 3 mothers visited our friend. We were greeted by the staff, and we were invited to use a kitchen/dining room so we could have a tea party with our friend. The staff popped in to ensure we were happy, they were extremely kind and helpful and made our visit most enjoyable.

My mum lives and is cared for at Evelyn May House. We moved Mum from another home, where the level of care fell short of our expectation for her. We are so happy with the care, compassion and respect shown to Mum from the team at Evelyn May.

I am very happy for my aunt to be in Evelyn May care home as she feels safe and cared for all the time. Staff are very efficient and caring and friendly.

My aunt was discharged from hospital to Evelyn May Care home, and now has a permanent occupancy and she seems so much happier within herself since losing her husband and she deteriorated health and mentally wise, but the staff and care she has received is first class and it's great to see her well

Very happy with the service my nan receives. We visit weekly, everyone is so welcoming and friendly and feel the staff go above and beyond their duties, with the care she receives. Nan loves all the staff and is always happy with the kindness they all show her, especially the hugs. As a family we
feel the home is everything and more to us, and we know nan is in the best place for her care needs.

Mum has settled in very nicely. I'm happy with the care mum receives, Evelyn May do a lot of activities, and mum loves having her hair done, and going out for day trips. She does like a shower everyday, this is what she does moan about a lot.

Staff were amicable and friendly. Overall atmosphere was enjoyable. Entertainment was really good. Manager was friendly and involved with all of the event and was overall a welcoming presence.

Evelyn May is an excellent care home and I can't think of a negative aspect. The staff are wonderful and super friendly.

This is an outstanding home. The staff are fantastic, very kind, and very professional. The home is spotlessly clean, the food is excellent, and the care provided to my parents is first class.
The manager is an exceptional leader, we are lucky to have someone like her running this home.

Our mum has been in the home 2 years. Overall she has been well looked after. Staff are magnificent.

I have visited my uncle on a number of occasions, he has always been clean and well-shaven his room and bathroom have always been clean and tidy. The staff always put a smile on his face and he enjoys their sense of humour. My extended family and I have always been happy with his stay at Evelyn May
House.

My mum went into Evelyn May care home in laindon. Mum was assessed and accepted on her needs . Mum one hundred pound more than we were originally quoted. The week mum's money ran out the manager said mum can't stay because they can't deal with mums needs . Even though mums needs hadn't changed . Our
dad has cancer and is in and out of treatment , however the manager didn't care the stress this caused my dad.My dad lives in laindon and was close for him to visit his wife of 63 years . When mum went into the home we was reassured mum could stay. Mum has black and blue bruises all over her face and arms we did raise concerns and reported the bruises, however no explanation to how they came about . I only hope you read this before you decide to leave a loved one there please don't ! . The manager in my opinion could not run a tap let alone a care home, The manager most certainly told us a pack of lies, and can't be trusted to tell the truth. Mum's necklace was also stolen whilst there.

Unfortunately, my mum was only at Evelyn May House for a few days before she sadly passed away. I cannot thank the staff enough for the kind and thoughtful care they showed towards Mum and us as a family. It meant so much to all of us that she spent the last days of her life in such a warm and
compassionate environment. The staff helped us through the difficult process of loss with support and guidance and treated Mum with the dignity and respect she deserved. It was sad she didn't have more time there as I think she would have been happy, as were we. Thank you.
