View Full Details of Larchwood Care HomeWe were grateful to the home for accommodating our request to hold a small family party to celebrate our parents 39th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, as always, and new memories made. Thank you
Our dear family friend who i have known for years is being looked after very well by the staff at the Care Home and they will aways contact my brother and myself when there is a problem so we can discuss it as a team which is very important. Another important factor is that they actually 'listen' to our concerns and act upon them wisely and keep us in the loop. Our dear old family friend recently had a 90th birthday party and they made such a lovely effort decorating the private rom with banners and laid out everything just as you would wish for your birthday party. Attention was to the detail and they even allowed another beloved dog in so that he could enjoy patting her as he used to be a dog walker. The birthday cake the Chef/cook made was marvellous and we all thought it was lovely and tasty. Thanks to the team for being so kind, attentive and thoughtful - well done guys x
I am very pleased with the care that my husband gets at Larchwood Care Home, I've never had a problem with anything that is done there
Since my wife arrived, the support and care provided to our family from all management and staff has been exemplary. We are grateful for all the information and advice we have been provided with by everyone associated with this great facility.
Mum has been living at Larchwood for just over 2 years now, and although her dementia is getting worse, she is treated with the utmost respect, love and kindness. We are happy in the knowledge that she is well looked after and is happy and safe.
Yet another perfect occasion. My hearth felt thanks to all staff at Larchwood. Keep up the good work. A perfect run team of special people.
My mum was a resident of Larchwood for just over a year and was very well looked after by the staff there. They all work very hard to ensure residents are well looked after, the home is cleaned and nutritious meals are served. Fortunately there is a new manager in place now and my daughter and I had the privilege of being invited to the Open Day recently. The entertainment was fantastic, there was a delicious barbecue in situ and again the staff worked very hard, despite the extremely warm weather. Everyone had a lovely time, the staff had residents up dancing and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves. We noticed a vast improvement with the new Manager in place here and were very impressed with the day. Care work is a tough job both physically and mentally and we cannot praise the staff here enough!
Only moved to Coggershall Jan 2025 and this was my first time attending this event and seeing my sister dancing and enjoying her really made me so happy and emotional. Many thanks to each and every one person made me so happy knowing how well looked after and cared for my sister is. Thank you all so very much.
Larchwood care home in excellent. My wife is very well looked after and happy.
Fantastic staff, caring, all go above and beyond their duties.
Since my Grandma moved into the care home in 2023 I have been very happy with the care she has received. The carers and staff are always very welcoming when I come to visit and always help engage my grandma into conversation and let me know what she's been up to in her day. I generally visit on a weekday and all the staff are lovely. I have eaten here with my grandma on a few occasions and the food has always been very enjoyable. I feel she is very well looked after and cared for here.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Larchwood to anyone. My dad lived there for 2 years before sadly passing away from his Dementia in 2023, and they did an amazing job looking after him, so when mum was also diagnosed with Dementia and had got to the stage that she needed full time care, Larchwood was the first place we went to without a second thought. Mum has now been there for a year and is looked after so well by everyone. The home is always clean and tidy, and nothing is ever too much trouble if you ask for anything, an all round amazing team of people working there!
My loved one came here for respite from hospital. Left here far worse and nearly 2 stone lighter. Every time i visited her clothes were missing, no underwear in her room and she was often sitting in urine. Safety is poor with bell not working, not asking for anyone to sign in or even who we are. Activities were mentioned and on a schedule but twice I turned up as was told none were happening even though I had come especially to join in. The laundry is an absolute joke, constant clothes missing including mums underwear which was new this year. This has been my first in sight of a home and not one I want to repeat. Rooms are very very basic, like a hospital side room.
Larchwood Care Home is an excellent home, all the staff are kind, caring and truly lovely people. My husband is very happy there and he is looked after so well, I could not be happier knowing when I am not there he is being kept clean, treated with respect and I can only say loved. The home is clean, the rooms are lovely and has a lovely feel about it. I have always been treated with respect whenever I visit my husband, I cannot praise he home enough.
Larchwood is a well run and very friendly care home ALL the staff are friendly helpful and pleasant. It is clean good food and they try very hard to keep all residents involved in activities. The staff respond to residents needs promptly when asked or buzzer pressed
My husband has been in Larchwood for over a year, in that time the new manager has done wonders, the home is always clean and homely, nothing is too much trouble, any problems are resolved quickly. There is always a member of staff on hand to discuss any needs, any medical problems are resolved quickly . The carers are kind and understanding of Dementia residents and give them the respect they deserve. In difficult situations. The entertainment team are first class and there is always a variety of activities for the residents. The hairdresser and chiropodist visit regularly. The gardens are well kept with plenty of leisure areas for the residents to see the wildlife.
A very pleasant visit to see my Dad, he appeared to be very well looked after. Staff are so pleasant and caring. I was there during lunchtime and could sit with my Dad at mealtime. the food is excellent, a choice of meals are well cooked and nutritional (fresh vegetables and good quality meat). So pleased that my Dad is resident in such a lovely care home.
The Staff and nurses have worked hard to help my wife recover from pressure sores which were discovered following a recent Hospital visit. They (Larchwood) were proactive in getting her back from Hospital so they could provide the care and attention that was required to meet her needs as someone with vascular dementia. They are kind, supportive and most of all understanding.
Just a note about our pie and mash visit with Dad recently, my sisters and I were very pleased and impressed with the facilities and staff, thanks very much for this and also for looking after Dad. It has been a year since my dad joined the home and in this first year we have all found him improving steadily, he's more the happy-go-lucky person he has always been so once again thank you. Hoping you have a lovely Xmas.
My husband is in Larchwood and I cannot express enough. The kindness of all staff towards him. He is looked after with dignity and love. He loves his new home and is very delicious. Me and my family thank you all.
