What can I say, my father has been at The Lodge for 10 months now and I can honestly say We as a family have no complaints. My father is cared for amazingly from everyone who works there. He is happy, safe, well fed and healthy. I had Christmas dinner with my dad at The Lodge and it was like home from home with a lovely Christmas dinner, the atmosphere was great. Leading upto Christmas there was entertainment for the residents nearly every day which was wonderful. I am so happy that we found The Lodge to care for my dad and I would definitely recommend this care home, as it's homely and has that personnel touch to all residents. Thank you all at The Lodge for your support and care towards my dad.
Within the month leading up to Christmas, the Staff at the Lodge in Maldon make it as pleasant and as happier time that they can for all the Residents. It's a sad time of year that for one reason or another, that one's relation cannot spend Christmas at home with their family, but knowing they are in safe and caring hands at The Lodge, over the Christmas time, is a great comfort to my Husband and myself that Pat is well looked after. The Staff there are always arranging such carefully thought out activities for everyone throughout this time, there are Carol Singers, Games, Raffles, making things and the Staff always participate and provide a delicious Christmas Dinner on the day, a big thank you to Clare the Manager and all the Staff involved!
Such a delightful warm and caring environment, I totally recommend the friendly, happy, cosy, and kind atmosphere at The Lodge. Exactly a year ago, my Mother and Father were really struggling, and we looked at 20+ places for them, and chose The Lodge, due to its welcoming and homely atmosphere. This has proved a great choice, and it really feels just like being at home. The Lodge helped us, and our mother, to deal with the heartbreaking loss of our Father a couple of months later, and what feels like an extended family of carers and indeed other residents at The Lodge make every day there special, safe, and friendly. If you are thinking of a spot for respite, or for longer term care, I really recommend this place, and these people. The team at the Lodge has recently won a string of awards, which are are richly deserved. The home maintains a group messaging chat, which gives updates every day of the interesting and varied activities, and keeps everyone updated; really lovely!
My husband has been resident at The Lodge for the past year. I can't thank them enough for providing excellent care. Also providing warmth and compassion to us all. Its a lovely friendly home were management and staff make you feel welcome.
It's very welcoming. The staff I've seen interact with residents is lovely, kind caring. My mum is always clean & well looked after. They do so much with the residents to keep there minds occupied, even just chatting.
Mum is treated with the upmost respect, everyone there is lovely and friendly. Mum has improved greatly since being there and is calmer. I know mum is well looked after so that gives me peace of mind.
The improvement in my mum's general well being and happiness since residing at The Lodge is amazing . This can be put down to the care and attention she is given by all the staff and friendship from other residents that have improved her life immensely. Thank you so much
Friendly staff aways willing to help/support the residents and my dad. Food choices are really good, quality of the meals are outstanding, residents get a good choice of snacks and drinks throughout the day. Loads of activities offered to all to join in with. My dad is always clean shaven, showed and smartly dressed. Management are always checking on residents and my dad, and always avalible to discuss my dads care.
I cannot state how amazing all of the staff and management have helped my father. When my Dad first went into care he was unable to walk! Now he is up dancing and is integrating in activities. I'm currently house bound with Mental Health issues and the guilt I feel not being able to see my father is helped by the wonderful and numerous photos that are sent on the group they have set up. The photos are amazing and I can just see the happiness on my Dads face. They are active in finding everything each individuals true likes and loves are/where and bring as much of that with their personalised interaction as possible. Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort that you put into caring for my father and everyone's else's beloved family member.
Mum is cared for extremely well on a daily basis. All staff are caring, friendly and helpful. Any concerns are dealt with in a compassionate manner and more importantly Mum is treated with dignity. She recently was moved from her previous room which she loves and is so much happier. Thank you to you all.
Dad has been at The Lodge for just over a year now. I can't fault the care he receives and the fact that he has a dedicated carer means that his care is personal to him. He is not just another resident. Communication between the carers / management and resident's families is excellent and no reasonable request is too much trouble. The Lodge endeavours to regularly provide stimulating activities for the residents, employing a range of equipment, technologies and providers. Given the age profile of many of the residents, activities are targeted to ensure relevance, for example, the recent VE day celebration which was themed as a street party on the grounds at The Lodge. They also try to maintain a connection between the residents and the community, often involving local schools and, where aporopriate, facilitating trips to places of interest. Placing dad in the excellent care of The Lodge has brought peace of mind to our family, knowing he is safe, appreciated and well cared for.
My mum has been at The Lodge since July 2021. It has always been a really caring place, with excellent staff. Since new management have taken over it has gone from strength to strength. It is comforting to know that my darling mum is looked after by professional but top tier caring staff. Food has always been and continues to be nourishing and varied, with really lovely personal touches like each resident having a cake baked especially for their birthdays. There are always activities and events going on and relatives are welcomed at all times. It's the little things like this that put 'home' into the care home. My family are very happy with the management, staff, facilities, food and accommodation. Lovely happy home.
My Mum has been living in the lodge for 2 years due to suffering from Vascular dementia and health problems. She is cared for with kindness and compassion. All the staff including kitchen ladies, cleaners, carers and management are all genuinely kind and loving towards the residents and I have witnessed exemplary care and nursing skills. The manager and deputy respond immediately to any concerns or requests and do their utmost to help. They always show such knowledge of my Mums needs and problems and they call the Dr/ nurse/ paramedic quickly for any health issues. Visitors are made to feel so welcome and the door is always opened with a smile. Having your loved one in a care home is the hardest and saddest situation but the Lodge gives you peace of mind that they are looked after in your absence.
The home is welcoming and friendly on arrival. There is usually some activity taking place which the residents really enjoy and take part in. Visitors are welcomed and can see their relatives in the lounge or bedroom. Staff very helpful in managing this.
Considering we called the day before Christmas eve, The Lodge was very accommodating. The staff are all so lovely and kind. The place is lovely and clean but I honestly can't fault how amazing the staff are. Thank you so much for all your help.
This care home is lovely. It's homely and smells so clean and fresh. In a lovely part of town with fields as a view. The manager, and all the staff I met were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring about the residents.
Dad took up residence at the start of June, 2024. We've been really impressed the professionalism of the staff and are grateful for their compassion whilst looking after Dad. We would recommend anyone looking for a care home to consider The Lodge.
My mother was sent here for six weeks of respite, and I am hoping it will become permanent. Although the building is in need of updating, the care she receives is excellent. The carers are very attentive, and she is being very well looked after. She is happy there, and I appreciate that the owners are new and it will take a while to implement their changes. The food is lovely.
Friendly staff, my mother is well looked after, good amount of staff involvement with residents and good activities arranged. The home is always clean and tidy when I have visited. Always keep updated by manager and staff.
I've found everyone here from management to the cleaners very good at their jobs, they treat the residents with the respect and dignity that they deserve! The food always smells and looks nice which is a real bonus!
