Mum has now been at Milton Lodge for 2 years. The staff have always been very friendly and have a very caring and positive attitude. Mum hasn't always been the easiest of residents but has always been treated with respect and dignity. Mum has declined considerably in the last 6 months and spends most of her time in her bedroom. Having said this staff still include her, when she is willing, in day-to-day activities. Despite the decline mum is happy and settled. Thank you everyone.

My mother has now resided at Milton Lodge for 6 months. It is a very caring home. Mum is well looked after. Staff are attentive and listen to family members about concerns and queries. Staff and management are very approachable and respond to emails and phone calls, as well as in person. Milton Lodge has a friendly atmosphere. I attended the summer BBQ party, which was well run and a great chance to talk to other families linked to ML. I am very happy Mum is at this residential home.

Firstly managers & all the staff on all department are very professional, caring & kind , im so happy my stepmum is here she is so well looked after , Milton Lodge is home from home .The home is always looks clean and comfortable, food is lovely and home made too , when I cant get in to visit management always keep me informed by phone or message.

My dad has been happy, safe and well cared for over the past 18 months. He recently passed away in the home and the manager and staff all made sure that dad was kept pain free and comfortable in his final days. We cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did not only for dad but for us as a family also.

This home Has done so much to help my mother its unbelievable. Every member of staff is so wonderful and caring, and I'm welcomed openly every time I visit I could not recommend this Home more. Even the chef goes in and sees my mum and asks what she'd like to eat so accommodating.

A friendly and kind atmosphere when you arrive. Hard-working carers/cleaners/activities personnel/ chef/ Across every aspect within the home. They care about their residents and do their best to keep them all comfortable and happy. A wonderful team working together and helping the relatives feel relaxed and happy too. A great home for my mum as with her dementia can find it difficult, but they are patient and work around her to keep her happy and comfortable within her environment

Lovely caring staff and such a home from home for my mum . Very welcoming to visitors I feel confident they are looking after my mums welfare . They do lovely entertainment and welcome us all, in the summer there is a fantastic barbecue and a great Christmas party . There is also lots of other celebrations we are always invited too. Mum is very happy and calls Milton lodge her home . Although my dad in still in their original home he is always welcome and often gets extra invites

My mum has been in Milton Lodge for about 3 years now. She is bedridden but she is very happy. All the staff are amazing!! Nothing is too much trouble. we are always welcome to visit mum any day or time. Lots of activities going on, plus a visit from Colchester caring for cats is always my mums favourite. Absolutely fantastic home!! Thank you all for caring for my mum so well!

My mother in law has been in the home for a year now. We as a family have always been pleased with the care, the staffs attitudes towards the residents, the environment and the activities programme. The management are very approachable and will always endeavour to assist where they can. My mother in law has settled in very well and we can't thank Milton Lodge for their love, support and guidance for her continued care. Keep up the excellent work.

My mum has been at milton lodge for 18 months, I can't praise the staff enough for the care she receives, everyone from the management to domestics are wonderful! Mum's room is really nice, she has lovely food and is very contented . I visit twice a week and the staff are always so lovely! As we know, caring is not easy but they do an admiral job. Well done to you all and thankyou.

My Father has been a resident since August 2025 and we can't speak highly enough of the care and attention he has received. The carers have shown unbelievable attention to his needs. Dad has settled in very well with staff and other residents.

I cannot fault the care my brother and sister received from all the staff at Milton Lodge. The day-to-day thoughtfulness and compassion shown to my brother in his final weeks and days were wonderful. Thank you for your continuing care of my sister.

Mum has been in the care home for 18 months. They have done wonders with her. She is safe, clean, eats well and her medication has brought the mother I knew back to me. Thanks to Milton she has retained her sense of humour and her dignity. The management and carers are amazing. It is one big happy family. I volunteer there with the garden and I feel part of this amazing family.

Absolutely marvellous carers at the home, great management, nothing is too much bother for them. I feel they go above and beyond for residents in my experience and always provide updates as needed but in a compassionate and caring manner, residents are people to them, not a number which has become all too common these days. The manager is great to work alongside and always quickly replies and takes time even when she is not working to help with any matter needed. It is lovely to visit, and people importantly seem happy when you are there.

Mum has had excellent care from all the staff in Milton Lodge. They make sure there are many activities such as games, singing, baking or arts and crafts which help to keep the residents stimulated. There is an excellent varied menu every day prepared by the kitchen. She is treated with dignity by everyone. If Mum or I have any concerns at all we feel free to voice them and they are taken seriously and help is always at hand. The home is well-equipped, attractively decorated and has a warm and welcoming feel. There is a cheerful demeanour from the domestic staff to the managers. Mum is healthy and encouraged in all aspects of her care. Her appearance is very important to her and the team is on hand to help her with her manicures and hair styling. My family feel very lucky to have found this wonderful home.

I have been connected with Milton Lodge since 2014 and the residents are a happy bunch of people. Very well fed and kept occupied with games, singing and groups of children also exercising everything that helps to make them happy and as fit as they can be. My mother was here and I can't find fault with anything as staff are so professional and kind.

Sadly, Mum is now completely bed-bound, totally reliant on others to provide for all of her needs and approaching the end of life. The management and staff at Milton Lodge have ensured that Mum has continued to be well cared for and comfortable throughout her recent deterioration and I cannot thank them enough for doing so.

The resident is happy in Milton Lodge, she feels safe and secure which is most important. Although not the smartest of homes, we feel the staff are caring and helpful and would like to thank them all for all the work they carry out, especially through the COVID period.
