View Full Details of The New DeaneryMy mum went into The Deanery as a resident due to an emergency situation when she became ill. The staff were absolutely fantastic, friendly, welcoming & reassuring towards her & us as a family. Through - out mums time as a resident she received excellent first class care. Staff were extremely kind, patient, friendly & professional. All her physical & mental health needs were met. Mum had a restricted diet which the catering staff facilitated ensuring her nutritional needs were met. Managerial staff were available to discuss issues & provide us with support throughout her stay. Mum being at the Deanery was an excellent experience which I highly recommend.
Respite and subsequent end of life care for my brother over a 6-7 week period; Lovely, kind and human staff throughout the team from cleaning and catering through to management and all care levels. Cheerful when we needed our spirits lifting and quiet and respectful when end of life care was put in place. Aimed to cater for individual food requirements, very supportive and welcoming to family member on round the clock presence~couldn't have received a more compassionate experience. Very helpful in mitigating shortfalls in communication and service from a previous care provider on several occasions, which would have had significant impact on the end of life situation without the management staff's timely interventions. For that we are very grateful as a family, that we could ensure the end of life experience that he deserved and received at the New Deanery.
I am very impressed with the care my mother is getting here. I am also impressed with the manager who runs an amazing team of carers. The carers are all amazing.
Staff are very welcoming the atmosphere was calm and friendly. The whole place is run efficiently and the residence looked after very well. Parking was easy. You are under no pressure to leave .The gardens are well maintained and a pleasant sanctuary to enjoy.
Mum settled into The New Deanery really quickly; she liked the caring staff and understood that they were there for her, day and night. She was made to feel very welcome and was keen to tell me how friendly they all were. During the first week, Mum was seen by the district nurse (regarding underlying health conditions); the chiropodist & had her first bath in over 5 years and visited the hairdresser! Mum was gently encouraged to partake in some of the daily activity sessions, and this is where we find her most mornings, when we visit. She no longer says she is 'bored' or 'fed up'! I feel she is safe and well looked after.
My sister and I was invited into the New Deanery to celebrate mother's day with our mum. It was a lovely afternoon with beautiful home made cakes and coffee taken in the front reception room, which has been decorated. The New Deanery staff are so kind and compassionate.
Since my involvement from November 24th to date, I was more than pleased with the kind and attentive help and guidance given to me by all your staff. Having been introduced to several of staff and a comprehensive tour I was more than pleased that we had decided on The New Deanery for my relative's onward care. It was a relief to have greetings given by all staff on visiting and to be called by Christian name.
My Mum moved into The New Deanery approximately 10 weeks ago, this has changed her life as living at home she was very lonely. She now has so much to do all the time, she attends activities every day, there is always something going on, and she has made friends and enjoys time with them. The staff are all very professional and very caring. The family is kept informed about health and well-being. Mum receives excellent care. The food is lovely. The home is clean and tidy. Mum's room is lovely and she is very happy.
Grandma is being very well looked after here. All the staff are amazing and we are very happy with her care! She is very happy being here and feels especially safe. One member of staff in particular always brings a smile to all of our faces when visiting.
I was visiting my friend last month, who is a resident at The New Deanery Care Home. This is my third visit so far and I must say how incredible the staff are, the homes manager is an extremely lovely person who will do anything she possibly can to accommodate your needs. The senior carers are also all very kind and hard-working. This home is an incredible place to spend time and my dearest friend is overjoyed with the service she receives. The New Deanery is surrounded by impeccably stunning grounds that are kept well maintained by a very friendly and polite young man. I will be recommending the home to any family or friends that are looking for exceptional service.
Since my grandad moved here, he has said how much he enjoys living here. Always great care given. The food is lovely. All the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. Activities has a great variety. He very much enjoys his garden view room.
My lovely mum has recently moved into The New Deanery. On the first day when we arrived, mum had such a warm welcome. We absolutely love it that mum is just up the road from us now. My daughter and I love to come and visit mum. The environment is beautiful, the gardens are stunning with established trees and beautiful peacocks. The staff are all so nice, so kind and helpful. When we arrived to see mum she looked so cared for, she'd had her hair cut and blow dried. We are so happy with everything.
From day one, when visiting my friend at The New Deanery. I have been made welcome, such a friendly place. Staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. Home is always clean (spotless), fab team of caring carers, hard working group, grounds well maintained. Menu choices is great, have had two booked lunches which were delicious. Hope to have a room here one day when needed.
Thank you so much to all the staff for the excellent refreshments and arranging my father-in-law's little tea party to celebrate his 91st Birthday. He had a lovely afternoon and was overwhelmed that all his family and neighbours came to see him. I would thoroughly recommend The New Deanery to anyone considering residential care for a loved one. In the 3 months that my father-in-law has been there the care has been excellent. The staff are all dedicated, hard-working and caring, and do all they can to make the residents feel at home, we couldn't ask for anything more. The food is excellent too and everyone has said that my father-in-law looks better than he has in years. Thanks once again everyone.
I can see that my friend has thrived since has became a resident at The New Deanery. The staff are very kind and caring and most importantly, they make her feel wanted. She is very happy there. From outings, to activities, to personal care, nothing is too much trouble. It's remarkable to see how my friend has gained strength and weight (she needed to), and confidence over the past year.
Dad had a fall at home and could no longer look after himself, so he needed to go into a care home. The staff at the New Deanery couldn't have been more helpful in transitioning Dad into his new life. Dad hasn't got a bad word to say about the carers, and he says the food is excellent. But unfortunately due to his dementia, he doesn't understand why he needs to be there, but hopefully, in the next few months, he will settle in, and become more involved in activities that are offered.
My three weeks in care were a new experience for me. I was looked after and every care was at my disposal. The staff were absolutely marvellous and were so helpful in everything they did. The food was excellent and anything I fancied was made available. I cannot thank every member of staff enough for their care and devotion.
My mother was a resident at the home from November 2022 until she passed in July this year. From the very beginning the team have been so friendly and caring. It wasn't just the care they provided, the carers and housekeepers also built a friendship with Mum and me and we became part of the Deanery family. The seniors have always been excellent, very professional, caring and well-organised. The food has always been excellent with a flexible, varied menu and excellent chef. The beautiful grounds and outdoor events are a real treat. The activity staff keep residents entertained with a daily schedule, always happy and so friendly. The care at the home really excelled when my mum became poorly, not only did they look after Mum, but they looked after me as well. Their love and emotions when Mum passed were genuine and very moving for my family. The care provided at this difficult time was outstanding. It was lovely having Mum in a care home where we were treated like one of the family.
My dad has been in 4 weeks now and the improvement in him is amazing. He's engaging with people again and looking so much like his normal self. The staff are brilliant with them both in their care and social interaction.
Great atmosphere. Staff fantastic. As a family collective - we are very happy with our family member's care.
