What lovely, lovely people. So kind and so patient! Always cheerful and always offers a cuppa tea! Nothing is too much trouble, always helpful. My mum was here and I was so happy she was there, as was she.

We have known our friend for a long time, we have been coming to this home for sometime, we have been very welcome and impressed with his care and the excellent attitude of the staff. His health has improved, when he came here he was very thin and and since he has improved in that he has put on weight.

My mother has been a resident at Old Shenfield Place for two years and is a new woman. Although she has mobility issues, she prefers not to use a wheelchair and loves the independence afforded to her by the staff. Whenever I visit, she is full of praise for the staff and tells me how much she enjoys the activities arranged for the residents and cannot understand why there is not more take-up of these. On my visits, the staff, without exception, seem to enjoy their work and treat those they are responsible for with feeling and compassion. I would absolutely recommend Old Shenfield Place to anybody looking for a residential care home for their parents.

My mother is cared for very well. All staff maintain her dignity in spite of her dementia. Her hair and general cleanliness is always maintained and she always looks smart which is very important to her. Thanks to all the staff.

My mum came to Old Shenfield Place in October 2024. She had been through a distressing time which had taken it's toll on her physical health and caused a huge decline in her Vascular Dementia symptoms. However, gradually, she is coming out of her shell and is now joining in with some activities and her sense of humour is starting to show. I have no doubt that this is due to the staff, from the cleaners to the management, as they are all lovely and make us feel welcome when we visit and I know my mum feels safe or she would not try out the numerous activities taking place at the home. I would recommend Old Shenfield Place.

When my friend was transferred from hospital, I just prayed he would be placed somewhere people care and didn't just leave him. All was answered when came to Old Shenfield Place he relaxed, walked and smiled, All what he didn't do before. Still a long way to go but the Manger and all the staff were fantastic in the way they go about helping and attending to his needs. I walked in and thought I'd come to a top class hotel.

Over 4 months my father-in-law has settled into the warm caring community at Old Shenfield Place. What is most reassuring for the family as we visit is to see the smiles of all the staff. That the staff are happy to be there, providing the excellent care that they do, is so reassuring to us.

Very impressed with the overall experience at Old Shenfield Place. The management and staff operate at a high level of professionalism and are always very welcoming during visits. The home itself is lovely, bright, fresh and clean and a lovely environment for my mum, with always plenty of activities organised by the team to keep her occupied. I would strongly recommend Old Shenfield Place to anyone looking for a care home to provide peace of mind to their family.

Old Shenfield Place is an excellent home which is peaceful, clean and friendly. Staff particularly are very friendly, professional and helpful. I am very happy my father is placed here.
