Just to say its a lovely care home the staff are lovely and they do so much with my mum its nice to know she is safe and looked after. Thank you all for what you do for her.
My mum went into permanent care in Parkview just before Easter having been in hospital and realising her dementia had reached the point she couldn't go home and needed 24hr care. At first I was very worried as every time I visited mum she was in her room and usually asleep. Then in June I found your social media page and a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders as I could see photos & videos of mum joining in your wonderful activities and her happy smiley face showed how she had settled and was enjoying life again. I cannot begin to tell you how happy that has made me feel and I cannot thank you enough. Now when I visit her I have something to talk to her about, as her dementia won't allow her to remember I can show her the photos/videos.
My wife has been in Park View for over nine years and I have nothing but praise for her care and her carers. I am so grateful also for their consideration of my welfare too. It takes special people with lots of patience to become a carer. And I have peace of mind knowing she is in good hands.
My grandmother was at Park View for about 18 months until she passed away. I live abroad so I appreciated the lively Park View social media account where I sometimes saw her petting a pygmy goat, celebrating VE Day, or receiving an Easter egg delivery. During my shorter visits but especially during my week-long vigil before she passed, I saw first-hand how much Park View staff do for their residents and their families. I cannot speak highly enough of the Park View staff -- including the fantastic manager, the directors of social activities and healthcare, the carers, the handyman, the night workers and everyone else -- who cared not just for my grandmother but also for me and my family. They were kind, compassionate, and thoughtful, and they were proactive about communicating with us, both in person and on the phone. I felt reassured at every step that my grandmother was in good hands. Thank you, Park View!
I am very happy with the way he is being looked after. He seems to be very happy living there. All the carers are very nice and very helpful. I am glad that he has found a nice home to be in.
A very happy place, full of fun and laughter. Very helpful and friendly staff. More like an extended family.
Even as a visitor here to enjoy the company of my mother, management and her friends in care at Easter, I couldn't help wiggling my bottom and joining in the dancing in the adjacent park on a lovely, sunny Good Friday! Well done.
I was instantly recognised and warmly welcomed by the staff at my recent visit. I live at a distance of 250 miles so am not a weekly visitor. My brother appeared to be happy, safe and very well cared for, a credit to the care team. The staff are clearly very well aware of the needs and personalities of each individual resident and treat them accordingly. I told the manager how pleased I am my brother is there and so is he.
The overall standard of care is extremely high, especially with regard to dementia care, resident activities and communication with family. The home is spotlessly clean and maintained and the care staff and management couldn't be more friendly, helpful, attentive, and professional.
I can highly recommend Park View. My father was there for about a year, and his care and support was excellent. Every staff member I met was kind, welcoming and very friendly and the care they provided to my father was exactly what I'd hoped for. He was well looked after in his final months, and they attended to his every need throughout his living there. At his passing, staff were very considerate and understanding, and allowed the following process with dignity and respect for my father and family. My father enjoyed his time at the home, and I enjoyed being able to visit him there.
Staff are always polite, caring and happy , can't do enough for the residents. Lots of different group sessions and wellness sessions . My mum is happy and well cared for. She has a lovely room. The new management team has really improved the home and made the families involved.
My mum went into Park View in February and I've been very pleased with the whole set up. Staff are very helpful and friendly, the home is very clean and the food excellent. Mum has been taken out a few times in the minibus and always enjoys that.
My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia. We chose Park View for him because of it's calm atmosphere and the great location. Dad loved to sit in the lounge and look across the park. We never had any regrets with our choice. Every member of staff is caring and kind. Everyone treated Dad with respect and dignity. Changes to his condition were always identified quickly and his needs were always met. There was excellent communication from the staff and manager. When my Dad's condition deteriorated, every member was staff was compassionate and caring. Our situation was handled sensitively and delicately. I cannot recommend this home enough.
Wonderful. My Mum is thriving. So well looked after in every way. I couldn't wish for a better care home. Activities are fabulous. When I share the trips / visits with friends they all comment on how well Mum looks, how's she's enjoying herself and how their parents / relatives in other care homes never have the option of activities that residents have at Park View. Alzheimer's is a dreadful disease and no cure has yet to be found. With the care and knowledge of the disease at Park View, I am confident that Mum is in the best place for this stage of her life.
From the moment I walked into park view I was amazed with the professionalism of all staff especially manager. The whole home is run and managed very well and the staff are very caring and go above and beyond for my friend. I am very grateful for my friend and I have already recommended this care home to other friends who are looking for residential care. The staff are always doing things to keep the residents busy and always are happy! Well done to the whole team here.
I have just moved my father out of Park View after a disappointing respite stay. Issues included: - He was discharged from the hospital without any medication, and despite the care home having a list of his pre-hospital medications, they failed to arrange any in the nearly four weeks he was there. - As someone with POA, I requested a copy of his care plan. I was told it may be delayed as it needed to be "redacted by head office." Nearly two weeks later, I still haven't received it, nor am I clear about why/what needed redacting - despite this being crucial for making informed decisions about his care. - My father asked often to go outside, only to be told they were "too busy". While I understand care homes can be stretched, it was frustrating to see staff sitting on their phones during visits, rather than engaging with residents. - His house keys were left in another resident's room, and almost all of his clothes were lost. I hope this feedback encourages some improvements.
Very active care home that genuinely care. There is always something different going on and every effort is made to engage as many residents as possible. All the staff including the carers, cleaners, laundry lady and management take a real interest in each resident.
Such wonderful staff and very good front of house manners on the phone too. Very informative, helpful and pleasant. I am glad my mother is being cared for by such professionals as she deserves in her twilight years.
The staff look after my mother-in-law very well. She has now been in Park View for over three years and we are very happy as to how she is looked after. Communication with all staff members is excellent. The home is always welcoming and spotlessly clean. Weekly activities take place and you can see from the photos how much the residents enjoy them. My wife and I live a long way from Essex, so it is satisfying and rewarding to know that she is being looked after in very safe hands. We cannot recommend Park View more highly.
My partner moved in and on the second day called Park View her home, and loves the company of staff and residents, the food and the entertainment.
