My mother-in-law has been at Wensley House for five years now. We have always been happy with the care provided; the staff are friendly and attentive, and the care provided is of a very good standard. The menu changes regularly, and the home is always clean and tidy. I have no problems at all in recommending Wensley House. Top Marks, well done Wensley House.

The management and owner are very friendly. Staff are courteous. It is good to know my father is in good hands.

The staff at Wensley House have been so supportive in helping the family to arrange and organise appropriate care for my brother who has settled in, how relaxed he is with all the staff and how positive all the interaction has been. He is eating better than before, and responding well to encouragement for help with personal hygiene and care. He is so much better since moving to Wensley and he family couldn't be happier! Thank you!

Wensley House is the most wonderful care home that I have ever experienced. My dad was fortunate enough to spend his last year there, and I couldn't have asked for a safer and comfortable environment for him. All the staff were always kind, considerate and treated my dad with so much respect and dignity. I will always be so grateful to everyone at Wensley House for all that they did for my dad. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wensley House for my friends and family.

Having had previous experience of 2 care homes falling short, we were so happy to find Wensley House for my dad. The staff and management have been fantastic, and we have been so happy with the great care provided by wonderfully friendly and attentive carers in great accommodation and with good and varied meal menus. We recommend Wensley House wholeheartedly for the superb care and facilities. All the residents are treated with great respect and dignity.

I visit my friend every week at Wensley House. My friend who has been in this care home for the last four years has never had anything to fault it with. She is very happy and the staff are very helpful when I come to visit her. The staff treat me exceptionally well and could not be more helpful. If I ever have to go into a care home this is the one I would like to stay at.

Lovely friendly environment. My dear nan is so happy and content in the care home. The activities person is so very good in giving her things to do ie colouring to keep her active without boredom. The staff are very caring and attentive. We are always made welcome when we visit. If nan is happy I am happy.

In all the years mum has been here I have always been impressed with the management and staff, how attentive and caring they all are. The food always looks nutritious and varied. Everywhere is always clean and a great calmness in the home. Mum always appears happy (despite her dementia). I would highly recommend Wensley House 10/10. Thank you for caring for my mum!

Mum felt at home as soon as she arrived. The staff gave her a welcoming hug and did everything in their power to help her settle in. She was very frail when she moved in, but even after three days I could see the improvements in her physical appearance and her sense of confidence. She felt safe and loved. Importantly the staff are permanent members of the team, rather than a rotating number of changing faces, so mum was surrounded by familiar faces. When the end approached, the management and staff did everything one could hope for to make her as comfortable as possible. Wensley House provides exemplary, loving care in every respect. I am extremely grateful.

My mother has been here for 2 months now, has settled in well and is very happy here. She has made new friends and joins in with activities. As a fussy eater they are prepared to meet her needs and are always kind and caring towards her, staff go above and beyond duties to help. Would recommend.

Wensley House isn't a care home, it's a 'family home'. As soon as you step inside, you feel like you are part of a big, loving family. The staff are so kind and attentive to both the resident and their loved ones, the food is excellent, and the cleanliness is first-class. The management team are very hands-on and approachable. I am grateful for the care, compassion and dignity everyone shows my aunt and uncle.

I had many concerns regarding my mother's move into a residential home, worried if she would settle okay. At 91 years of age she could no longer look after herself, and the care she was receiving was not good enough. Those concerns soon went away when I saw the way the staff at Wensley House were looking after mum. A very professional and caring team who obviously enjoy their work with a friendly and warm atmosphere, mum could not be happier. The attention to detail and the way the Wensley House team conduct themselves is great, I cannot prise high enough.

The staff at Wensley House have been looking after my father for just over a year now. They have all been excellent. Dad had been in two other local care homes but nothing compares to the Five Star treatment at Wensley House.The owner and the manger are visible and are always very knowledgeable about my father's status and conditions. I totally trust them looking after my 92 year old father. They have been fantastic.

I am very grateful for the care, compassion and dignity that everyone at Wensley House show my relatives. Wensley House is not just a Care Home, it is a 'Family Home'. Whether you are a resident, friend or family member, you are welcomed into the Wensley House family with open arms. The management team are very approachable and visible, the staff are extremely attentive and caring, the food is first class and the rooms cosy and immaculate. I could not be happier with my experience, or that of my Aunt and Uncle.

Tried two previous care home that scored well on a few of the points below, but Wensley House is the best being excellent on all areas rather than just a few.

Wonderful! My mum was resident at Wensley House and was treated in the most caring and dignified lifestyle. All of the staff are dedicated to their roles, treating residents with utmost care, respect and kindness. Rooms are perfect, the whole home has a very homely atmosphere. It is "home" for the residents. In my experience, this is the best.

On visiting Wensley House, what struck me first was the friendly family atmosphere the home had created. Having recently moved my mum into the home, I have found all the staff to be very kind, caring and helpful. The management team are always on hand and extremely efficient in what they do. There is a great pride in the home and they are always there to help. The rooms are of a good size with ensuite bathrooms and nicely decorated. The food is all freshly prepared by their own chefs and of good quality. There is also a nice garden for the summer months. I am happy with the home and feel my mum has settled in well.
