Tucked away, in a secluded forest surrounding, Wensley House is located just a stone’s throw from the charming town centre of Epping.

All en-suite (some also with wet rooms) personalised rooms, a modern nurse call system, an advanced addressable fire alarm (pinpoints by exact location), and a gated development to allow for walks and an outdoor lifestyle and dining are just some of the things that make this a welcome home.

Be it the Oak Room, with warm oak walls where you can receive entertainers, enjoy movies, religious services, or the Garden Room, with end-to-end patio doors bringing the summer indoors, the airy conservatory to share with new resident budgies, or the dining room for all day refreshments and a choice of meals freshly prepared by a chef on the premises (top five star food hygiene rating) there is always a place to relax.

Friendly and warm staff really care about what they do and take pride in supporting you as you maintain both dignity and independence and regularly form close bonds with the residents and families. As a small, family run business, the directors are also here on a daily basis to support the staff and residents in the provision of excellent care. Staff receive all required checks and commence under review status for several months shadowing experts supported with advanced training with industry experts before becoming part of the team.

The staff at Wensley House have been so supportive in helping the family to arrange and organise appropriate care for my brother who has settled in, how relaxed he is with all the staff and how positive all the interaction has been. He is eating better than before, and responding well to encouragement
for help with personal hygiene and care. He is so much better since moving to Wensley and he family couldn't be happier! Thank you!

Wensley House is the most wonderful care home that I have ever experienced. My dad was fortunate enough to spend his last year there, and I couldn't have asked for a safer and comfortable environment for him. All the staff were always kind, considerate and treated my dad with so much respect and dignity.

Mum felt at home as soon as she arrived. The staff gave her a welcoming hug and did everything in their power to help her settle in. She was very frail when she moved in, but even after three days I could see the improvements in her physical appearance and her sense of confidence. She felt safe and
loved. Importantly the staff are permanent members of the team, rather than a rotating number of changing faces, so mum was surrounded by familiar faces. When the end approached, the management and staff did everything one could hope for to make her as comfortable as possible. Wensley House provides exemplary, loving care in every respect. I am extremely grateful.

My mother has been here for 2 months now, has settled in well and is very happy here. She has made new friends and joins in with activities. As a fussy eater they are prepared to meet her needs and are always kind and caring towards her, staff go above and beyond duties to help. Would recommend.

I had many concerns regarding my mother's move into a residential home, worried if she would settle okay. At 91 years of age she could no longer look after herself, and the care she was receiving was not good enough. Those concerns soon went away when I saw the way the staff at Wensley House were looking
after mum. A very professional and caring team who obviously enjoy their work with a friendly and warm atmosphere, mum could not be happier. The attention to detail and the way the Wensley House team conduct themselves is great, I cannot prise high enough.

Wonderful! My mum was resident at Wensley House and was treated in the most caring and dignified lifestyle. All of the staff are dedicated to their roles, treating residents with utmost care, respect and kindness. Rooms are perfect, the whole home has a very homely atmosphere. It is "home" for the residents.
In my experience, this is the best.

On visiting Wensley House, what struck me first was the friendly family atmosphere the home had created. Having recently moved my mum into the home, I have found all the staff to be very kind, caring and helpful. The management team are always on hand and extremely efficient in what they do. There is
a great pride in the home and they are always there to help. The rooms are of a good size with ensuite bathrooms and nicely decorated. The food is all freshly prepared by their own chefs and of good quality. There is also a nice garden for the summer months. I am happy with the home and feel my mum has settled in well.
