Tucked away, in a secluded forest surrounding, Wensley House is located just a stone’s throw from the charming town centre of Epping.

All en-suite (some also with wet rooms) personalised rooms, a modern nurse call system, an advanced addressable fire alarm (pinpoints by exact location), and a gated development to allow for walks and an outdoor lifestyle and dining are just some of the things that make this a welcome home.

Be it the Oak Room, with warm oak walls where you can receive entertainers, enjoy movies, religious services, or the Garden Room, with end-to-end patio doors bringing the summer indoors, the airy conservatory to share with new resident budgies, or the dining room for all day refreshments and a choice of meals freshly prepared by a chef on the premises (top five star food hygiene rating) there is always a place to relax.

Friendly and warm staff really care about what they do and take pride in supporting you as you maintain both dignity and independence and regularly form close bonds with the residents and families. As a small, family run business, the directors are also here on a daily basis to support the staff and residents in the provision of excellent care. Staff receive all required checks and commence under review status for several months shadowing experts supported with advanced training with industry experts before becoming part of the team.

The staff are very friendly and helpful.
My dad is not the easiest person to deal with but the staff are very caring and understanding with him. Food and cleanliness are very good, and staff always attend to his needs professionally. Excellent

My nan has been at Wensley House now for a year and has always been very happy and treated extremely well by all members of the staff, the staff are all very welcoming and friendly and the home is always clean and tidy. I am always kept up to date with anything relating to my nan's health.

Wensley House Care Home is a lovely home for any family members which is like a home from home. The residents are really cared for and loving. They do the residents' washing, and clothing and provide three meals a day which is so lovely that they can choose from. Their sleeping rooms are lovely and
cosy. My mother-in-law is staying at the home and she is so happy and makes her family really happy and she doesn't want to leave. Visiting times are so relaxed and you are allowed to take them out to visit other people. Every member of staff is very friendly and helpful.

I would like to say that I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the managing director and his staff. The whole team at Wensley House have gone above and beyond for my dad and the residents there. The home is always clean and tidy and the grounds always look nice and tidy. The staff are always smiling

Wensley Care Home is so clean and the food is very good. Very hardworking staff and carers and it is so lovely when I come to visit my mum. She is so happy and never wanted to go home so it makes her family so happy for her.

My brother-in-law has been in several homes since he was six months old and he has been in them for 78 years. This is the best home he has been in all his life. The owners and managers and staff are all fantastic. He is looked after like a king.

This is a wonderful care home. My family and I are very satisfied with our 92-year-old mum staying at Wensley House. The staff are so good with Mum and very patient, especially as there is a language barrier which makes understanding needs and communication sometimes challenging. The staff treat Mum
with kindness, respect and dignity. The manager speaks a little Spanish and tries whenever she can to speak to Mum in Spanish. I couldn't wish for more! The manager and the owner are always available to answer any questions and provide regular updates.

From the moment I walked into Wensley House to look at it for my dad, nothing has been too much trouble. All the staff have been amazing - so kind, caring and thoughtful. When Dad was in the hospital, the owner and manager kept in touch with us, asking on a daily basis how Dad was doing. Dad is being
so well looked after by all the staff. My sister and I visit every day and the care the staff show to all the residents are exceptional.

From the first contact with the care home management, I was so happy to see the positive attitude they showed towards my mother. They were informative about the services offered by the home and helpful in providing advice and guidance on transporting my mother into their care. At all times they respected
her dignity and cared for her as an individual. They persuaded her to join the other residents in the lounge; the first time I had seen her in trousers and a cardigan for a long time. On the day of my mum's passing, the staff showed such great care not just to Mum but also to my siblings and me, who had gathered for her last hours. They were so dedicated to providing a quality service that even though they were past the end of their shift, two key staff stayed on until my mum had passed on and all the arrangements for the GP attendants and collection by funeral directors were organised. Their thoughtfulness and commitment to providing a complete service to the family were outstanding.

The level of care at this care home is of an extremely high standard. I have found the cleanliness, thoughtfulness and compassion of all staff members is impeccable. Since my mother became a resident here I have been very pleased to see that she is cared for in a way I could never have imagined. The
food standard is above average. Management is of the highest standard, nothing is too much trouble.

I find all the staff and management at Wensley House polite and professional. My mother, who has dementia, tells me on my visits; they take care of her very well. It is reassuring for me and other family members to know that she is in a safe, clean and caring environment. The manager and the managing
director are always available to answer any questions or queries I may have and provide updates on my mother.
