For several years Mum was a resident at Astral Lodge Care Home. During the last two and a half years of her life , she was bedridden and required much care and attention. The staff at Astral Lodge were marvellous and looked after her wonderfully. They were very caring and attentive and they always
did their very best to make her comfortable and care for all her needs. All the staff ( management and care staff) were very friendly and approachable and they always made me very welcome when I visited Mum. I always left Astral Lodge knowing that Mum was in very safe hands.

My dad stayed at Astral Lodge for a month after his stroke. The staff were very kind and friendly and looked after him well. I was happy with the care he received whilst he was there. My dad was eventually moved to a care home that specialised in stroke rehabilitation which is what he needed.

Mum was very happy at Astral Lodge. She was very well cared for by all Staff & they greeted all her visitors with a warm & friendly approach. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
After a few months, Mum became bedbound & remained so for over 2 years until the date of her death.
The Manager &
Staff did everything possible to keep her clean, fed & comfortable during that time.
Our whole family were extremely grateful to them all.
They showed care & compassion throughout & Mums dignity was respected at all times.

A very happy place for mum to be. The staff really care about their residents, she is well fed, always clean and happy as can be expected in her situation.
The staff and manager are very approachable and will help with any queries, they listen to any requests and do their utmost to deliver.
I have
nothing negative to say and would recommend Astral Lodge to anyone looking for a caring, professional and family orientated place for their loved one.

My mum is a resident and has been for the past five years. She has always been looked after well and the staff and manager are friendly and efficient. She likes it there and enjoys the entertainment they have for the residents.

Our mum has recently come to stay at Astral Lodge, and so far, we as a family have found the home itself has a nice feel to it, and the staff are very welcoming. The manager has corresponded with us on how our mum has been settling in; she also asked about our mum's hobbies and present interests,
which is nice as it shows that they want to know about her likes and dislikes to help her whilst she settles.

Astral Lodge looked after our lovely relative for nearly 2 years until he sadly passed away. The staff were always so friendly and helpful with anything we asked. He always looked well cared for, was always clean and was always happy to be in the company of the staff. We were always welcomed when
visiting and were invited to events they held and, if we were unable to attend, would be sent pictures of Uncle enjoying himself at them. We will be forever grateful for everyone's care and patience with him at the home. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who has a loved one with dementia needing great care.

We have been very lucky to find Astral Lodge for our mum. The staff are caring and friendly, providing a calm and relaxed atmosphere which is very welcoming. The manager is always approachable and sets the excellent tone of care, which I feel is second to none. We are so pleased with the care that
my mother-in-law has now moved into the home too. Would highly recommend it to others.

My father was admitted to Astral Lodge after suffering a bad fall at home, his dementia had worsened severely, and was unable to live on his own. Dad was in Astral Lodge for about 3 months and the care and compassion he was shown by the Manager and her team was first-rate and made a very difficult
time for me and my family a lot easier to bear. All the staff at Astral Lodge were professional and incredibly patient with dad right up to his passing in May and the end-of-life care he was given will never be forgotten by us. Thank you all.

My mother has been a resident in Astral Lodge Care Home for 4 years and I have been extremely happy with the care she is given. She is 93 years old.
Although unable to walk my mother is of reasonably sound mind. She is very happy there and has told me so. She would say if she wanted to move from
there.
The lady in charge goes out of her way to make sure residents are happy and comfortable and that her staff are doing their job well. The staff look after my mother well and tell me if they have any concerns. They also organise little things for the residents to participate in every so often. Obviously, this year has been difficult with the pandemic.
If my mother is unwell they contact a doctor or nurse to see her and let me know also. She is always warm and well-fed.
I am very happy for my mother to stay in Astral Lodge because of the excellent care she has received over the time she has been there.
