View Full Details of Arbory Residential HomeVery emotional decision for family after looking after loved one for so many years, however, the dementia disease of the loved one finally had its unforgiving toll on wife (sole carer), providing all care throughout each 24-hour period. The torturous decision had to be made for long-term care home/ nursing care. On viewing the Arbory, the greeting, understanding and interest shown by staff expelled my fears. I felt my husband would be in a safe environment, cared for by a dedicated/ skilled team and my family and I can visit at any time. The home is bright, well-designed, which enables residents to maximise their independence and interests with the safety of staff available at all times. Thank you.

Everyone at the Arbory Residential Home is extremely friendly and makes us feel really welcome when we visit. My Nanna has settled really well and we have noticed a huge difference in her emotional wellbeing. She's is happy at the Arbory and we are so pleased that she is safe and happy.
The friendliest care home I've ever been in too! My Nan has been at the Arbory for a while now and is so settled and loved by everyone. She was even treated to a birthday party for her 93rd birthday where she was spoilt with balloons, cake and gifts. Thank you for loving my Nan as much as we do :)
The staff at The Arbory have made what was a very hard decision on the first day into a blessing. As our Mum is looked after so so well. She seems very happy there and always lights up when the staff come into her room. Nothing is ever too much trouble and are always happy to help. They helped make our Mum's room extra special with all her personal things around her, and putting up lots of family photos and pictures which she loves to look at as they comfort her. And she loves to chat to the staff about everyone in them which they always happily do. And the staff are not just there for our Mum, they have always been there for us too.
I have always found the staff to be helpful and friendly when visiting my aunt and the managers are always at hand for any concerns I may have. My aunt is always well-dressed and looks well cared for. Thank you for the hard work that you all do!
Since Mum went into the Arbory Residential Home in July 2024 we have been so pleased with the care she is given. All the staff are really lovely with her and other residents. All the staff from all different areas are amazing. Such a friendly and warm place. Couldn't have wished for anything better for our mum. She is very happy there and loves her room. All made very personal with all her own things and photos. They always chat when I go there or they phone me if they need to. We don't have to worry about her since she has been there. It's a wonderful place.
It is a little way away from where I live and have to rely on my daughter to take me. But when we needed the care this was the only one locally that had an excellent report and my husband is happy there.
Every time I visit Mum which is about 2 times a week I find the staff always extremely friendly and also helpful. I feel my mum is being well looked after here and it is lovely to see her sitting in the lounge and pleasant to sit with her. She is always clean as is her room and I look forward to the summer to take her outside in the garden. Staff are caring and friendly so no complaints.
My mum spent the last year of her life at Arbory, bedridden, being moved from the ground floor to floor 3. She spent the majority of this staring at a blank wall after repeated requests to have her photos put on the wall. The duvet on her bed was so old it looked moth-eaten. These photos were her only possessions and after her passing, were all that needed to be collected, which they were a week later. Unbeknown to me, a charge of over £200 a day accrued as they were not picked up within three days. Families, please be aware of this extra fee because you won’t be advised of this. I emailed head office who have not bothered to reply.
I am very happy with the consistent level of care that my husband receives at Arbory Residential Home. The staff are all wonderful and treat him with respect and affection beyond what I expected when I placed him there.
We are really happy with the care that our mother is getting, always clean and very happy. The staff are brilliant, and the facilities are excellent. All-round great!
Overall Mum is happy at Arbory. The gentleman taking charge at the home is very informative and helpful. Need activities to keep residents active and stimulated.
Could have a chair in bedroom. Sometimes chair is wet when I sit on it in the living room.
All staff very helpful at all times.
I feel there could be improvements across the board. Residents need more activities. General personal care needs addressing.
He is always very happy, he has positive things to say about all the staff who comes into his room while I am there. If I see of feel there are any issues and inform staff, it is always usually dealt with quickly, for example; I have had issues with the cleanliness of the toilet and took my own products in to clean it and left a brush, I was contacted to say they would have dealt with it and things have improved since.
Staff are always warm friendly and helpful. There have been noted improvements over the past few months. Which is very welcomed. Keep up the good work.
Friendly and caring staff.
All staff are very obliging and considerate. Mum settled very quickly after a difficult start.
