View Full Details of East Hill House Residential Care HomeMy wife has been in East Hill for 4 years. I see her on a regular basis 3 times per week. She is happy and content and the staff are superb. The activities are very good and she enjoys colouring in and gardening. I understand she joins in most of the activities and enjoys doing so.
My mum arrived to East Hill House in May 2025. She came from hospital and was very confused and disoriented. The management at the home were brilliant, and initially was practically one-to-one care. It took a while for my mum to settle, but with the staff's amazing patience and encouragement soon had her interaction with the other residents. She seems a lot more settled at the home now, it is an enjoyable experience to come and visit her.
Excellent throughout. Staff amazinf. Real care taken with every client from bottom to top of employees' status.
My brother has been a resident for approximately 8 years. He is treated with dignity and respect and the staff have a warm and compassionate relationship with him. He was very poorly over the Christmas/New Year and required a hospital admission. His care and attention prior to his hospital admission was first class. The manger/deputy manger kept in tough with me to offer their support for the duration of his hospital stay (3 weeks). Happily he has now recovered and returned to his home.
A splendid happy home - staffed by caring, loving staff - from carers, team leaders and domestic staff. A respect for the residents and their families and a respect for each other. A well run home on all levels.
My close friend has been a resident at East Hill Residential Care Home for over 5 years. During this time, the staff have always been friendly and most attentive to her needs. and have kept us informed of developments in her health and welfare. The home appears to be kept clean and hygienic and comply with relevant legislation. Entertainment and activities are well organised and frequent.
My brother-in-law has been in East Hill for the last 12 months. From the beginning the staff have been friendly, helpful and kind throughout and have loojed after my brother-in-law ever when he has had some health problems. My wife died, unfortunately, last May and the staff arranged for him to come to the funeral and supplied a nurser/carer to accompany him which was a great help to me. East Hill is quite old and needs some money spent on it to bring it up to date, including the outside decking so that the residents can spend some time outside in the summer.
Whilst I would describe East Hill Care Home as a little shabby, the care my father receives is definitely not shabby in anyway. The home is warm, clean and welcoming. The carers are attentive, happy and always do a good job being attentive and caring. They are genuine in their care and approach to the residents.
I continue to be extremely pleased with the care my 96 year old father is getting at East Hill House. He has dementia which can be challenging at times but the staff continue to be very kind to him. You can really feel that all the staff in each role genuinely care for him. He is treated with every respect and within the home, huge efforts are made with entertainment opportunities. He is also very happy with the food, which is so much better than in his last residence
I have been extremely pleased with the care received by my lovely sister-in-law. She has settled in well given the sudden change required from living at home. The staff are excellent, very caring and understand individual needs. There are lots of activities taking place and living a distance away the updates on social media are wonderful and very reassuring.
The Care Home and staff have been amazing in looking after my sister the love and care they give her is like a home from home and she is very happy. A special shout out to the whole team who support my sister like a family member is lovely and very special.
We had to find respite care for my mother-in-law quite quickly. She had been here before, so we knew she would be happy and well cared for. The staff go above and beyond and always take time with her as she can be a little agitated at times. There is always some activity taking place, whether it be gardening, cheese tasting, a quiz, etc. We have now extended her care to long-term care and are happy with our decision.
I have visited my friend weekly since she came into East Hill House. I have found it to be very clean and the staff all friendly. They are lovely to all their clients and chat to them.
It is with great sadness that we said goodbye to our mum who passed on the 2nd of February 2024. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at East Hill House for all the love and care they gave my mum right to the end. The staff always went above and beyond their duties and even attended my mum's funeral, which was lovely and greatly appreciated by all our family. East Hill House staff keep up the fantastic work you do and always remember you are all very highly thought of. Thank you once again for all you did for my mum, forever in our hearts and thoughts.
My mum moved in at the end of May this year. From the very first visit, the staff were super welcoming and very warm and friendly. We felt this was the right place for Mum and haven’t been disappointed at all. You can tell they take great care of Mum and she is the happiest I have seen her for a few years now. She was diagnosed with dementia and had become very isolated. Now, she’s around lots of people and is very keen to keep busy and help the carers. Simply a lovely place with lovely people and we feel lucky to have found it.
Nearly a year ago, we had no option but to find a home for dad where all of his needs would be met. We found East Hill after visiting many, so pleased that we did! Dad is happy and settled. His bright and spacious ensuite room is kept clean and tidy. Dad is always shaved, showered and dressed smartly at the beginning of each day. He enjoys the meals and is looking well, benefiting from the flexible routine. The staff are helpful and cheery with no exception. We visit regularly and are always welcomed by all. Dad enjoys outings, activities and events. We attended a tea party with music and lunch this morning, which was lovely. East Hill has given us peace of mind to know that when we're not with Dad, he's happy and well cared for.
My mum moved to East Hill House during the pandemic, which was a very challenging time for all, especially care homes. Mum made herself at home straight away and soon enough it seemed that all the staff loved her and her smile. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful at all times and there are always plenty of activities going on. My sister and I chose East Hill as our mum's home because of its homely nature and I am so glad we did as it is like one big family.
The staff are always polite, friendly, helpful and professional. They deliver first-class care with compassion and empathy, despite some challenging behaviour from our stepfather. He has flourished since moving into East Hill House.
My mother has recently deteriorated on her journey with dementia, which has resulted in extra care. All the staff at East Hill House have been amazing in keeping me updated every step of the way, supporting my mum and keeping her comfortable and happy. I can not thank them enough for all of their care and attention, always with a smile of their faces. Nothing is too much trouble.
I find that the carers are very caring toward my mother and she always has a smile on her face when they appear. They always go out of their way to sort any problem, which is reassuring for me. I think we are very fortunate to have chosen East Hill House for my mother and the care she is given.
