View Full Details of Tendring Care Homes LtdMy mum was admitted to the home from the hospital. The transition was excellent. The home has a lovely, friendly, homely feel to it. The staff are very caring and supportive to my mum and all of the family. My mum loves her food and is happy with the selection, quantity and standard. As her daughter, I would like to say a big thank you for the excellent care, compassion, and patience for making this a lovely experience.
My mother was at Tendring for six and a half years and her care was exceptional. The team of carers and support staff were not just wonderful to my mum but very supportive of me especially when her dementia worsened. I think it spoke volumes when I used to take her out and she would say I want to go back "home" referring to Tendring. I feel very fortunate that my mum was able to stay in such a wonderful happy place. She picked Tendring herself and always used to say if I have to go to a home. I want to go there. We would go past, before it was a home and was Tendring Stables, she used to say if I win the pools I'm going to buy that and we can live there. She never won the pools, but she did in many ways as she got to live there and the care was wonderful. The team were so supportive of me too, when she no longer knew who I was and her carers and fellow residents became her new family. Mum passed in her room in her happy place. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to them
From day one, we have found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. The home has a lovely atmosphere and is homely, making Dad's transition easier. The food is excellent and there is always plenty of choice. Dad has a lovely room which is always clean and tidy, and a comfortable space.
'Tendering Care Homes' is a caring and friendly place to live. Everyone is well looked after and my friend is very happy here.
I moved into Tendring House for a couple of months while my fire-damaged home is being repaired. I could not wish for a better place to come to. The home is lovely and the management and staff are so good and kind. If I ever had to come to a care home on a permanent basis, I would wish to come here.
Team work is good, always someone available to help with any issues.
Very friendly. Good food.
Mum was in Tendring Care Home for just under 3 years. When she was living in her own house, she was nervous at night. At Tendring she felt safe and secure, which gave me peace of mind.
My mother was at Tendring Care Home for nearly 3 years. She died at the age of 99 on her actual 99th Birthday. She was well cared for by all the staff, who were very king and sympathetic. She had a lovely room which was kept clean and tidy. Lovely to have everything done for you including laundry after a lifetime of Mum looking after others.
A beautiful home, caring staff, great activities, good food, good care and compassion. Management can be a bit disorganised, have missed meetings or not follow up on actions. Not the cheapest home and there are a lot of extras, such as hairdressing, chiropodists, opticians etc.
My husband and I are very happy with the care his mother has at Tendring. She became very unhappy and confused when she lived on her own. Now she is in a warm, safe environment where she has company, excellent food, music, and activities.
I have found the staff very caring towards the residents. They have provided excellent care during a very difficult time especially when visiting was restricted. They are always happy to help with any problems. Now things are returning to normal they are providing regular social events for residents and their families. I feel welcome to visit when I wish and take my father out regularly.
Excellent care is given to my mother by the staff. My mum thinks it’s like living in a hotel. Care is provided sympathetically by the staff. Management are involved with the residents, they are hands-on all the time.
Have settled in living a new way of life. Have accepted the fact that I can no longer manage on my own. I am treated very well and looked after very efficiently.
Food is good. Room is clean.
The care home advertises its self as specialising in dementia care but this is misleading. As soon as my Father's symptoms move much beyond mild, the management issued a notice to quit. The staff are extremely dedicated and made my Father's time here a comfortable stay. A good balance of interactive activities is always available. The management is cold and business-driven.
I am very happy with the care given by all the great staff. The home has a great atmosphere and is very homely, the staff are very kind and nothing is too much trouble. The food is always very good and I have a great choice at all mealtimes, it has a lovely dining room and comfortable lounges.
Having led an active life and been reasonably fit it has been a challenge to live a life where through mobility problems I can no longer do the things I want to do. But with friendly staff around I feel in good hands and I'm settling into an acceptable way of life. Activities are organised in a good friendly atmosphere and it does help to overcome the problems and difficulties we have.
The care home has a very good standard. Mum is very happy there. The staff are very good and very helpful.
I have found everything at Tendring to be of a very good standard. The staff are so caring and helpful. I have and will continue to recommend them.
