The staff are excellent - could not be better - not an easy job.

It was a very upsetting time when I had to find a suitable home for my Dad. Right from my initial call to Wimborne, I was treated with kindness, compassion and an empathetic approach. They have been incredibly supportive throughout the process. My Dad has been with them since beginning of August and
nothing is too much trouble. They have gone above and beyond. My Dad is so happy thanks to their flexible and caring approach. Nothing is too much trouble and all staff are always helpful and friendly. They take him out regularly and he's even helmed a boat bringing back precious memories of his time in the navy. Being a veteran registered home this was important to them. I can't thank them enough for supporting us and welcoming my Dad with open arms, they're a true extension of our family.

Our Mother of 92 years of age needed time to recover from a fall after a week in hospital before going back home. A few care homes were visited on Hayling Island as we wanted the home to be close to the family home that our father was still living at. Wimborne was by far the best option fornour
mother.
Nikki was ever so helpful to have the process completed in less than 24hours to allow our mother to be made very welcome once she had been discharged from hospital at Cosham.
The stay was originally booked for two weeks but was extended by another 8 days to allow a full recovery.
Highly recommend, the staff were ever so obliging. Our mother was extremely well looked after, food was excellent and there were many activities available during the day.

I spent a fortnight here after a spell in hospital. I then returned to my home until I found difficulty looking after myself
Because I had been comfortable and well looked after (at the age of 95) I decided to return

The staff are always helpful & friendly on the phone and in person. We have over an hours travel to the Wimborne care home and are always assured of a smiling welcome. The residents are usually engaged in activities and although our relative doesn't get too involved, they are happy & content to
watch television and occasionally interact with other residents. They also enjoy excursions in the mini bus and always praise the food provided.

During every visit to see my father all of the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful. There seem to be many activities organised to entertain the residents. The garden areas are lovely places to sit when the weather is fine.

My nan receives great care at Wimborne. She has been here since Christmas 2024. The home is always clean and smells lovely. All of the staff are very friendly and always wanting to help. Would recommend this home to all.

Our dad has been a resident at Wimborne for over 2 years since our mum died. Dad has advanced dementia but is always treated with the utmost attentiveness and respect. He is 100 years old and is clearly very comfortable and content in the care home

I have been visiting a friend (age 93) who has recently become a resident at Wimborne. The staff are welcoming, the home very clean and comfortable. The food, so my friend says, is excellent and allows a lot of choice. She is also impressed by the activities on offer everyday and she is looking
forward to going out on a trip to.

The care home continues to excel in its overall environment and care for my mother. Staff are friendly, approachable and efficient. Food menus are well planned with quality offerings. Activities seem well suited to residents, with good variety.

I have always found the carers and staff to be friendly and attentive to visitors and residents alike. Their passion and their care is constant. Activities are many and varied and the posts of social media (which is where I can see pictures of the resident and their activities) fill me and my family
with confidence and the residents care and that they are being looked after.

Very homely, cosy building. Very clean in all areas. Food menu's are amazing, excellent choices. Freshly prepared. Always activities or trips out organized if you want to participate!
Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff.

I find Barchester Wimborne Care Home staff very friendly and residents happy and well cared for, their rooms clean and comfortable and they have varied activities. I visit two residents and they have both said how good the meals are.

My mum has now spent just over a year at Barchester Wimborne Care Home. We as a family can not fault the care and support she receives from every single member of staff.
From admin, housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, carers and management. Everyone has their role in looking after my mum and they
have all become like extended family.
The food is excellent, all the organised activities are brilliant and go above and beyond my expectations, love being involved myself when I can.
The home itself is always clean and well maintained. Thank you to the carers for the care they show my mum. I can't thank you all enough.

Mum received excellent care, she was respected and treated with great care and dignity during her final weeks.
All the Barchester Wimborne Care Home staff are fantastic and I would happily recommend the home.
They listen to the views of the residents and family and have great connections with the
community and local health centre.

We searched for a nice care home for my auntie and from the moment we walked through the door, we knew this was the place for her. Every member of staff greeted us and all the residents looked very happy. There was plenty going on and everywhere was spotless, modern and spacious. The room we chose
looked out onto a beautiful garden. Auntie was not happy about leaving her own home but very soon she was talking about her future there and we saw a smile which we hadn't seen for a long time. It was a joy to see her happy. So much attention to detail here, even the chef visited her and asked about what she liked to eat as she was a vegetarian. She said for him not to make a fuss but true to his word he made her some lovely meals! The new manager there is lovely, she really is committed and dedicated to her job. Sadly auntie had a short time here and passed away peacefully Boxing Day after a lovely day. Thank you everyone for looking after her so well!

I visited a very dear friend yesterday at Wimborne Care Home at Hayling Island. She had had a very distressing few years ending with the death of her beloved husband in the Summer. She was in a very distressed and unhappy place during and after her husband's death. She was put in another care home
on Hayling but did not adjust very well. She has only been in Wimborne for a matter of weeks and the transformation is amazing! She was happy and relaxed when I visited yesterday and said it was 'like home from home'. She has settled in wonderfully well, and feels loved and cared for! The food is excellent and she looks forward to her meals; she is cared for in every respect, hair, nails, clean clothes etc; and she enjoys the camaraderie of the other residents and the carers (whom she calls Angels!) as well as the outings in the minibus. I was made to feel very welcome too. I have visited many care homes in the course of my voluntary work over the years - Wimborne is simply the best!

Well-run care home with staff who care and excellent facilities. Can't fault the activities on offer and enthusiasm of the staff.
Nice atmosphere in the home and good variety of food. Excellent communication with family members.

My father had excellent care. The atmosphere in the home was like extended family. Nothing was too much trouble from any of the staff and management.
