View Full Details of Lawnbrook Care HomeThe staff at Lawn Brook are kind, caring and competent. My mother recently broke her hip and had a stay in hospital. All the time she was in hospital she just wanted to get back to Lawn Brook because she feels so at home there. The manager at Lawn Brook, keeps things running very well. She is diligent and effective whilst being well informed and approachable. Our family would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for looking after mum so well and for making her feel so at home and cared for.
Lawnbrook is perfect for my Mum. She is very well cared for nothing is too much trouble. The level of care is really high and mum always looks clean and tidy. The staff are approachable and all really friendly. Also the food cooked is really good quality, plenty given. I would highly recommend this home. The lady has just taken over as manager and she is brilliant at what she does.
Must say that mummy's care is faultless thoughtful and everything a daughter would want for her mummy. have no negative experiences only friendliness n warmth if this is how I feel then my mummy is in the best care home for her needs can't thank all concerned enough
The home is welcoming, but the staff awareness is sometimes lacking. They need to think, 'what does the resident want to watch? (If they are in the main lounge area, what can they do to engage the residents? They spend so much time on the phone, for a relative it does not look good. My mums room we picked downstairs as they were going to plant flowers in the flower boxes on her little patio. This has not happened which is sad.
Lack of activities, residents looking bored, and as one put it it's tedious in here. Staff speaking to each other in their own language, perhaps they should remember the residents are keeping them in a job and paying their wages. Apart from the fact that they are displaying very bad manners. My husband is in a care home, they have activities morning and afternoon, also English is spoken in their presence at all times. I certainly wouldn't have left him in your establishment.
Calm and comfortable.
Good care, food, service.
Safe, good, happy.
Good.
Lawnbrook holds a truly warm place in my heart. They looked after my mum for her final 3 years with such love, compassion, humour and respect that I think they really felt like family to her. Her dementia meant she wasn't able to communicate in English much anymore, but some of the staff had the same nationality and understood her culture and language - a list of her common phrases was distributed so all staff knew what she was saying, and one staff member even asked me if they could bring in some food from home to see if my mum remembers it. Lawnbrook really does have the individual residents' best interests at heart. It's such a clean and light environment with plenty of activities. They always mark birthdays and festivals and they were quick to communicate with me and the GP when required. Everyone was always so welcoming. When bringing mum back after her walks she always greeted all the staff so happily that I could walk away knowing my mum was safe and in very good hands.
My father is here and at end of life suffering with dementia. It is a very difficult time but the staff and nurses in particular have been amazing, compassionate and so understanding. They do an amazing job and I am very grateful.
The staff at Lawnbrook Care Home have made my mother feel safe, cared for and at home. They have always been attentive and professional when she has needed help but also warm and friendly when she wanted companionship. We feel lucky that Mum is under their care.
My mother was cared for by the excellent and caring staff at Lawnbrook Care Home. They were always informative about my mother's health and care. Mum was very happy with the staff and from arriving on her first day in 2021, she was made to feel at home and quickly settled in. On my first impression when choosing Lawnbrook as my mum's residency, I found the staff to be very welcoming. The home itself is brightly decorated, making it feel like a nice place to be. I highly recommend Lawnbrook and the amazing staff to anyone who has the extremely difficult decision to make, having to place a loved one in a care home. Many thanks for caring for my mother to all the staff there.
My husband has dementia and has been living in Lawnbrook Care Home for over a year. The staff there are always kind, caring, cheerful and patient and welcoming to visitors. The food looks home-cooked and inviting. All residents have access to other services, like chiropody or GP and I am always kept informed of any changes. My husband tells me he is happy there, even though he'd rather be home. I have no hesitation recommending Lawnbrook to anyone seeking a care home for their loved one and would like to thank all staff who work hard to make residents feel happy, settled and comfortable.
It is a friendly care home, the staff are helpful and caring, showing kindness and privacy to the service users. My 100-year-old mother seems to be settling in well after the shock of leaving the hospital and going straight to a care home.
Following a two-week stay in hospital he was transferred to Lawnbrook at our request to enable him to recover and improve his mobility. The staff were all very welcoming, caring, helpful and efficient. During his four-week stay, all aspects of his health were assessed by a GP, community nurse, occupational therapist, community mental health doctor and optician. His general health and mobility under their care improved sufficiently to enable him to return to his home to live.
Mum was treated with dignity and respect by the staff at the care home. They were kind and gentle, which gave us comfort as a family. The staff often spoke to Mum in Punjabi or Hindi which was lovely to hear and see. The care home facilitated Mum's passing to be as comforting as possible. We as a family appreciate the space, care, and respect we were shown. It has made a huge difference. The team at the care home provides excellent care.
I can't express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care my Mum receives at Lawnbrook Care Home. Due to her dementia, she needed a supportive environment and from the very start, the staff were incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive to her needs. Mum thrived in the communal setting, with the ethos of bringing the residents together made a significant difference. The small lounges at Lawnbrook provide lovely spaces for family celebrations, which meant a lot to us. Even during her setbacks with health the staff encouraged her independence and made sure she was comfortable in the main lounge. In her final weeks, the staff provided her with love and respect and they were so supportive of the family, and supplied plenty of tea and biscuits! I cannot praise them enough.
Excellent care, knowledgeable and professional staff. Very good communication relating to any issue, proactive in organising outside care (dentist, district nurse, GP). The staff at Lawnbrook made such an effort to make my Mum comfortable, she really did not want to go into a care home and combined with advanced Alzheimer's her behaviours were challenging. The staff were so patient, understanding and caring, so my mum settled. The home itself is always clean, bright and wholesome. There are lots of activities planned daily for the residents, birthdays celebrated and there's a real effort to provide a home-from-home environment. Visiting is always easy and requirements are accommodated at short notice. The excellent food is also worth mentioning, all home cooked together with snacks and tea served. I can't praise this home, all the staff and especially the manager, enough. They have been so supportive and understanding towards me and my mum during a very challenging time.
Very polite and helpful staff. Friendly and welcoming. Staff listen to residents and help where needed. Well organised and homely.
