The staff at Lawnbrook have created a welcoming homely environment. They have managed to blend a professional approach with love and appreciation for their residents. My mum was very happy to be in the care home as she was a cheerful person and she found the friendly and smiling atmosphere easy to
be in. As mum's needs increased the staff were very attentive to the changes and were quick to adapt their care and let the family know what was happening. They repeatedly went above and beyond what might be expected to make sure my mother's care was the best it could be. There were many times, that we as a family, thought ourselves lucky that mum was in such a caring home. When the end came for mum the staff demonstrated how well they knew mum by small touches which were kind and personal. Mum was respected loved and appreciated for who she was.
We are very grateful to the staff at Lawnbrook for making mum's stay so joyful and fun as well as safe and caring.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at Lawn Brook Care Home for the exceptional care they provide for my mother, who is living with dementia. From the very beginning, the staff have shown genuine kindness, patience, and professionalism, which has given me great peace of mind.
I
visit my mother every week, mostly at weekends, and it is always reassuring to see how happy she is and how much she enjoys her life at the care home.
The level of support and attention she receives is outstanding, and it is clear that her comfort, dignity, and wellbeing are always a top priority. The staff are approachable, caring, and always willing to help, while the management team are supportive, well organised, and attentive to any concerns.
I am extremely happy with the care and support provided and feel confident knowing my mother is in such a safe, caring, and compassionate environment. I would highly recommend Lawn Brook Care Home to anyone seeking high-quality care for their loved

I am unable to complete the questionnaire below because: - 1) I have no access to any room other than the general day room.
2) I am not preset at meal times and so I am not able to judge the quality of the meals.
3) I am not aware of any activities for the patients to improve their wellbeing.
4)
As I have no knowledge of the cost of residency I am unable to judge if it is good or abd 'value for money'. However the staff are very kind and patient and always in attendance.

The home is welcoming, but the staff awareness is sometimes lacking. They need to think, 'what does the resident want to watch? (If they are in the main lounge area, what can they do to engage the residents? They spend so much time on the phone, for a relative it does not look good.
My mums room we
picked downstairs as they were going to plant flowers in the flower boxes on her little patio. This has not happened which is sad.

Lack of activities, residents looking bored, and as one put it it's tedious in here.
Staff speaking to each other in their own language, perhaps they should remember the residents are keeping them in a job and paying their wages. Apart from the fact that they are displaying very bad manners.
My husband
is in a care home, they have activities morning and afternoon, also English is spoken in their presence at all times. I certainly wouldn't have left him in your establishment.
Reply from Jocy Mathew, Acting Manager at Lawnbrook Care HomeThank you for your feedback. I would like to clarify that there is no lack of activity at our facility. We offer a structured program with activities running from Monday to Friday every week. Additionally, we host special events twice a month on the first and last Thursdays, including a visit from our activity lady. An entertainer also visits once a month. While we encourage all residents to participate, we also respect their personal choices. Some residents may choose not to engage in certain activities during the afternoons, and we honor that. When a resident consistently opts out of activities, we document this in their care plan and notify their next of kin accordingly. Regarding the issue of native language, we have addressed this matter previously and are actively taking steps to ensure it is appropriately managed. If you have any concerns or observations, please feel free to speak with me directly. I'm always open to discussing how we can work together to improve.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.699)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.699) out of 10 for Lawnbrook Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 36 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 35 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.699 for Lawnbrook Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (324 Excellents x 5) + (83 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 425 Ratings = 4.699
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lawnbrook Care Home is based on 35 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 35 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

After moving to the UK from India to pursue my Master’s in Public Health, I transitioned into the health and social care sector. Prior to this, I was a registered pharmacist in India.

In 2021, I joined Lawnbrook as a Senior Carer and was promoted to Head of Care in February 2022. Most recently, in 2025, I was appointed Acting Manager.

My leadership style is centred on empowering my team and fostering a collaborative, supportive work environment.
